- Got tired of some of the old worn interior parts of the Miata, so we refreshed the driving feel with a new Sparco r345 steering wheel and Cubespeed short shifter, as well as some other little pieces.

Awesome video Carson....keep them coming! Your Miata is coming along really, really nicely. You can see on the video how much difference our short shifter has made.....HUGE. The new steering wheel looks brilliant as well. The smallest of changes can result in big improvements to driving enjoyment.

Too true. If you're running no airbag, gotta have harness. Modern 3-point seat belts aren't meant to keep you away from the wheel.

Honestly a good upgrade would be to hookup the power steering and fix the A/C if it's broken, people tend to remove that but it has become very rare
I would love to see the body get done up nice with a good polish and buffer, maybe even a new paintjob
I really enjoyed the video and seeing the progress with the NA! I checked out Cube's site but sadly they didn't have a short shifter out for the ND Miata, but I'll keep an eye out in hopes they'll introduce one for my car because that kit looked really nice. That throw looked awesome, and it was truly hilarious watching your reaction to how it felt after the install! Lastly, the steering wheel was a nice touch with the blue and I also felt that the black/yellow tastefully matched y'all's logo! Looking forward to the next video gents!
Hopefully they’ll make one and show some love to the ND, and yeah we kinda thought the same thing about the yellow on the wheel. Thanks for sticking around and watching, really appreciate the support
The ND is definitely on the radar for a CUBE short shifter. But in the mean time we do make an awesome set of coilovers to suit your ND. 🙂

Dude, the blue decal is cool, but I would have went with the black one because it matches the shifter knob, and you really don't see the steering wheel and the header cover at the same time unless you take the hood off, but nice shifter action. Might have to make the short throw upgrade myself.

Nope, it’s pretty much a big shed, hot in the summer and cold in the winter
This mod is safe to do on a daily dirive car? Like is it legal to not have the stearing whell arbaig? I'm not saying that the mod isn't sick because it is and I'm a 6''2' guy so if I would buy a miata I wold have to do the same tihing but I don´t no if it's safe.
When you remove an airbag you should pair it with a safer seat and harness set up, which we plan on getting. But yes this one is on the more dangerous side for a daily

I may have missed something, but the way you wired up the resistors in the steering wheel didn't give you 3 Ohms of resistance across the circuit, it only gave you 1 Ohm. Wiring resistors in parallel the way you did does not additively increase the resistance, and in the case of you using all the same size resistor, it gives the same resistance as if you had only used a single resistor.
Good eye, we did end up wiring them up in series just like we did with the original ones. Also, wiring them all in parallel like you said would have actually decreased the resistance, making it 1/3 of an ohm in this case.

electric power steering should be next, if you’re willing to spend the money
Could be a cool thing to look into, the car is so light that with no power steering it handles pretty well already, but we’ll do some research

The mechanism started to fail just as we were filming this and stopped letting the seatbelt out. Didn’t mention it in the video but yes it was very bad timing
