I can't get my brain round the mindless vandalism of guitars. I try hard to keep mine looking and sounding good. They're works of art, so satisfying to see them returned to their former glory.
It's amazing how such a simple thing like nail polish can really make a mess of something. Thanks for the great work you do to restore these instruments.
Your care for the instruments you work on, in whatever shape they are, is evident, and you are respectful and careful with each project. You refinish when possible and repaint when necessary and do a good job in both.
Another fantastic transformation .. great to see her brought back to life after it’s previous owner obviously didn’t show any respect for the instrument at all .. Epiphone guitars and Basses have always been well crafted instruments , and it was a pleasure seeing you do your magic ..
It's also pretty easy to roll up a small piece of paper into a cone and stick into the whole. The more tricks the better! Some fits here and some fits there ... :D
What a beautiful job, as usual, and that poor thing needed it some bad. Looking brand new and watching you silk screen the new logos on was especially fascinating. Good work!
I wouldn't put it past Gibson to actually make a Firebird like that with all the stains and the splatter 😄😄 That said you gave this Firebird its dignity back ( I LOVE Firebirds, I own several Gibsons, several Epiphones and other lesser-known brands, I even built a few myself ) and for that I commend your extremely high skills and your dedication to your art 🎸🎸🎸 🙂🙂🙂
That poor Firebird. Who committed this atrocious blasphemy? Thank goodness you brought it back to its former glory. I love Firebirds. I'd love to see you restore an Explorer.
Is it possible this guy is doing the "before" modifications himself and then removing them for the videos? So many of these share a similar aesthetic I have to wonder. He does a nice job restoring these (although I've actually preferred some of the "befores") but what are the odds of one guy finding so many similarly decorated/defaced guitars?
I've wondered that as well but then when you look at the "custom" paint it always has plenty of natural aging that would be a lot or trouble to reproduce. And even more surprising to me is the many comments saying the before looked cool si I guess there are enough people who like such modifications so that he can find as many to restore 😄
He/She must have been having a Bad Day. Or a BAD TRIP!! I'm redoing a LEFTY and SET NECK version of one of these Epi 'birds Now. Was amazing find for me, but only had the Body/neck combo, albeit already Painted! Just gathering the parts now. Can't WAIT!!
Thanks for diing this. Not the video really, but for doing the work to bring this beautiful instument back from the horror show some fool put it through. Beautiful job!
I think you did a great job on this Firebird, an outstanding job. Black and Chrome and shinny. I would like to know what liquid pastes and polishes you use to return these guitars back from the dead. If you don't mind me asking, I don't understand your language.
Hermosa guitarra.
Saludos !
I actually liked the Red and scratches. Was hoping you would leave it like that after you took off the stickers :) Great job as usual Sir! Best Regards and Best Wishes!
There is paint on the strings, there is paint on the frets, author poured paint on an old guitar before shooting this video and then cleaned it))) no one played this guitar after it was painted... ))) anything for the views ))

it looked good before, looked great after, it depends on the player yk

new techniques each video every nut bolt washer restored to pristine..KODOS loved the chop sticks tool extremely focused and creative
You're doing an amazing job giving these guitars a well-deserved second life, and it's very satisfying to watch.

anytime lad, i agree (alt account ;)
That's one of your more epic restorations. That Firebird turned out gorgeous and was well worth restoring.
My God, you could be a "crime-scene" clean-up tech! That Firebird axe had so much blood-splatter of a paint job! Miracle-work!
Hello Friend, amazing restoration for a super nice guitar. Thank you for sharing your outstanding skill ! See you next...
Can't you girls just sit back and relax, watch the show and enjoy the before and after, how much does he make doing this video anyway 😊.
it went from "poor logo" to "oh yeah, restoring the logos!" excellent job as always.
Hats off Sir!! Your work is outstanding and inspires me!! Greetings from Mexico!! GIVE LIFE BACK TO MUSIC!!
Excellent work, a beautiful guitar restoration. That reverse headstock and the Red Firebird. Something else 🙏Sugoi ✌️ 🤘🏴🇦🇺
A trick I've seen used for the plug holes is to use foam ear plugs. Great restoration keep up the good work.
Or just cotton wool with a bit of petroleum jelly
It's also pretty easy to roll up a small piece of paper into a cone and stick into the whole. The more tricks the better! Some fits here and some fits there ... :D
Dude's even got the silk screening down pat. Nice. Mad respect for your work 🤜🤛
about to get an epiphone firebird, appreciate this one! Also enjoy your unique demo riffs at the end

I have been watching and enjoying your videos and you do beautiful work in restoring these unloved instruments
Incredible how people wreck their instruments. Like your videos!
Wonderful amazing extraordinary outstanding restoration job. Congratulations. This guitar is beautiful
Fantastic job! And great Orchid tee =)
Nice job. Also really nice “this day next year”

Idk. He says he gets them from Japanese online auctions, but it is entirely possible that he "before"s them
I've wondered that as well but then when you look at the "custom" paint it always has plenty of natural aging that would be a lot or trouble to reproduce. i thought the restoring was awesome. add the orchid shirt?? perfection.
Yeah, brilliant work! Hi from Australia!
Serial # breakdown: This guitar was built in Epiphone's Saein Plant, in Inchon, Korea, during July of 2000, and was the 179th one off the line!
Great information! 😊
I honestly like a lot of these guitars the way they are before the restoration. I think the cleanup is good, but the custom look is better!
He/She must have been having a Bad Day. Or a BAD TRIP!! I'm redoing a LEFTY and SET NECK version of one of these Epi 'birds Now. Was amazing find for me, but only had the Body/neck combo, albeit already Painted! Just gathering the parts now. Can't WAIT!!
probably a slayer fan doing a a reign in blood paint job
So impressive. Wonderful results! Congrats on saving another great instrument
Very clever way to remove the bridge threaded inserts.
Looks good🤤🤤😍nice riff too
You do such beautiful work my man! You're my favorite guitar refinisher by far! thanks for the content man!
Thanks for diing this. Not the video really, but for doing the work to bring this beautiful instument back from the horror show some fool put it through. Beautiful job!
The last riff was giving Burning Spirits vibes
I’ll admit it looks mighty nice, well done.
Another great job!
nice work asyl-san!
such a sick paintjob
I follow you because I love guitars and you really do perfect jobs!

Nice work! I love my Firebird!
This is why when you paint your house you move things out of the way or cover them with a drop cloth.
Why would anyone do this to a pretty expensive instrument? Great job what you are doing in your videos!
it looks quite punkish, so maybe a punk band intended to do this
So they could make this video
Looks amazing now. Well done!
"Uniquely painted"
That was very kind of you.
Great job! I always appreciate how meticulous you are with cleaning
anytime lad
You cleaned up a guitar you painted... awesome
I was going to that as well lol. Uniquely painted by the guy who cleaned it 😅
Then why watch the video? Let’s see some of your work???? Assholes
saya dari Indonesia, ini sangat keren!!

I would have left it. Reminded me of the Scott Ian ‘murder weapon’.
fantastic job.
From where do you get the instruments from a pawn shop, just curious 🤔 nice work and thanks for sharing 😊
Kinda confused. Did he buy a bunch of guitars and wreck them himself. Seems like they have all the same red paint
É lindo de ver a guitarra limpa!
i think the previous owner was a fan of Slayer song "reign in blood". Or simply a child.
very nice! you can make a video of your guitar collection if you keep the guitars you clean and restore.
nah sorry (busy with some allegations atm)

nice..also playing
I actually liked the Red and scratches. Was hoping you would leave it like that after you took off the stickers :) Great job as usual Sir! Best Regards and Best Wishes!
Asyl, why did you spray wood primer over a poly finish?
Fantastic job
HOT CROSS最高!
This must be an example of why you never leave your guitar at an ex's house during the breakup
Nice job.
Paint sprayed on the reverse of the body was not worn off at all?
OMG what is the name of that slik screen printing box ? never seen a all in one kit like this !
Love your videos. Big but! would it be possible to give English translations for some of the stuff you use!
Good job
Bro's got the YEAH YEAHHHHHH
Awsome. Wherever you get these im jelouse lol.jk good job❤
Its really hard to understand why someone would do such a thing to a beautiful instrument like this
that design is quite punkish so perhaps some punk band intended to do this for a “style”
Even calling it "design" is way too generous.
@@Case_ FR man... is it still vandalism if you own the thing?
How much did you pay for the guitar and how much can you sell it for now?
wow, that guitar is one of my favorites.. thats a gibson firebird. thank god. that guitar is in goodhands now.
Another guitar with identical paint job to the others….mmmmm, that tin of red paint is going a long way
can you fixed sinem's heart like this?
Where do you find these guitars???
hey, got a question- what do you use for removing clear stickers? my Japanese is non-existent
Oil-based solvents may be easier to remove.
@@studioasyl thank you :)
That is pure vandalism. Whoever did that should be punished.
29:39 song?
👍👍👍👍👍
try a heat gun for stickers.

i have exactly the same korean firebird from 1999 and i feel pain seeing it in such condition.......
From the serial number, it looks like this one is a 2000 model.
