Federal Signal 2001-130/131DST (Fast Wail) emergency siren test ~ Deer Park, TX 6/8/24

When I heard of an upcoming business trip to Houston, I knew I couldn't pass up the chance to meetup with ‪@andy_dc‬ again and record a Deer Park 130 that actually works. Needless to say I succeeded with both of those objectives. This siren was raspy and packed a punch.
Andy showed me a great spot where we could record in the shade and get a great shot of the water tower behind the siren. He also brought his new scanner which was quite a treat. Thanks Andy!
If you listen carefully you may be able to hear the Pasadena Whelen system doing whoop in the background. La Porte was extremely late that day, so unfortunately we had already packed up by the time they were set off.
I guess that's it. I'm glad I got to put my new camera and mic to good use.
