He-Man needs to skip fighting Skeletor and any other evil and kick the Cosmic Enforcers' asses instead. As long as they exist, there can be no victory.

Great story But one thing puts me unliking it,was the origins of dare i think i have read 2 one was this version and the other one is, he was an adopted son of he man.
I think the main difficulty with giving MOTU a big retail presence again (and the current retro line isn't really a "big" presence, let's be honest) is how much it is n '80s brand tied to nostalgia. It's ultimately less adaptable than others from that period, such as GI Joe or Transformers - the styles, the character names, everything is tied to that early-'80s toy atmosphere. It's harder to "update," and because its pre-existing fanbase is so insular and nostalgia-driven, you CAN'T update the designs without pushback. So you're stuck with a very specific phenomenon from a specific era for specific people - one can think of other trends that were huge in their time and are still thought well of, but just haven't made the "epic" comeback people would expect. (I like ram horn Skeletor, BTW)
Too bad you could not merge Hanna-Barbera, Rankin/Bass, and Filmation Universes. Goltar, Herculoids, Thundarr, Mightor, Pirates of Dark Water, Black Star, Brave Star, Motu, Silver Hawks, Tiger Sharks, and Thunder Cats.
I enjoyed this story, too bad the project fell apart.Would love an open platform gaming of beeing He-Man,Skeletor and other MOTU characters in Eternia / Etheria and Space.Choosing good guys or bad guys story.
I love MOTU but a quarter into this even I got confused and lost interest, it’s no wonder why it didn’t get picked up. The original storyline was concise and fluid to follow, this is waaaaaay exhausting.... lol 🙄
@@spectorcreative1872 Ah gotcha! Imagine if it were the story though?! WHEW! Lol what a soap opera. I’m one of those rare fans that ABSOLUTELY looooove the original storybooks that came with The first issue figures. As a kid that’s how I played with the figures. I liked the show but remember seeing it for the first time not understanding why Prince Adam was even needed. I loved Teela as the green goddess and the spirit of castle GreySkull and how complicated and smart Skeletor was.
So that's where the comics got ram horn Skeletor and King He-Man from.. The writers are known for doing their own thing in a lot of adaptations, wasn't sure how much leeway they were given here. King He-Man ended up being a very small part of it though... Just a future vision of a corrupted Prince Adam who turns fascist dictator, that lasted about half a comic.
@@spectorcreative1872 Speaking of DC comics adaptations, I read through some of the mini comics, and noticed Teela started off with blond hair, switched to red in future mini comics without explanation. Now Keith Giffen's bit where his blonde beauty Teela shows up as a redhead and everyone acts confused on why she doesn't want to talk about it makes sense. :)
Why can't they keep MOTU simple? Too many maguffins and amalgamations make it hard to follow. I loved it when it was HeMan vs Skeletor, and then Hordak, along with the Snake men. MOTU kept things simple, especially the 200X (which that reboot was way better than the original Filmation version) made sense. To this day, at 45 years of age, I still go back to watch those episodes, because they are enjoyable and easy to digest. But all this stuff going on is extremely confusing and takes away from the essence that made MOTU a fan favorite when I was 7 years of age back in 1982 and beyond.
Is this story arc part of the reason why She-Ra and He-Man are now separate? If I am the IP owner of She-Ra, do I really want my star character connected to He-Man when her ultimate fate is that she is a major villain. Or was there going to be a redemption arc for Adora? As sure He-Man and Teela get together and have a kid. Skeletor and Evil Lynn get together and have a kid. But what was the end goal for Adora? Was she simply going to remain a brainwashed minion to Horde Prime? Was she going to remain a major villain? Or was the ultimate plan to have her become She-Ra again? What of her and Bo? Did they marry? Did they have children? Again while the villain character of Adora looks cool, as someone who is also a She-Ra fan it kind of sucks that she is made a villain and there really is no redemption to her.
@@spectorcreative1872 Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. Was there a plan to eventually redeem Adora? Or was she going to be a villain to her brother in the similar fashion Skeletor was the villain to his brother?

@@spectorcreative1872 I believe you! That was just a LOT of lobster claw!
He-Man needs to skip fighting Skeletor and any other evil and kick the Cosmic Enforcers' asses instead. As long as they exist, there can be no victory.
This is the way
He thought Adora/She-Ra was dead?!?!?!
Yes. During their battle with Horde Prime
Too bad this didn't happen, I love the look of that Ram Head Skeletor, You have the best vids over insider stories for toys on here, liked and shared as always, much respect Guru.
I so wish it could have happened! Thanks for the kind words as always Jeff!
Have the Classics mini-comics ever been collected into a book like the old mini-comics?
Only issues 1-3 in the DH coffee table book. DC has the other 5. Let them know if you want to see this
Great story
But one thing puts me unliking it,was the origins of dare i think i have read 2 one was this version and the other one is, he was an adopted son of he man.
He was an adopted son in one of the unused pitches in the 80's. For Classics he was biological
Do you think Mattel will ever release a motu line as good as classics?
No.
Are the comics referenced in this video available anywhere?
They came with the MOTUC figures, usually the subscription figure. DC has yet to collect them
We need that Skelly used in the new 52!
Make it happen Mattel
How can despara get another storyline I don't get it
Well her original story was dropped and we found new ways to use her
Ka-poor-real. That’s how it’s pronounced.
I pronounce nothing!
/oh yes you are right on. And with all the interest in "Big Muscle Heroes" in the 80's we just don't have that cultural backdrop anymore
Too bad you could not merge Hanna-Barbera, Rankin/Bass, and Filmation Universes. Goltar, Herculoids, Thundarr, Mightor, Pirates of Dark Water, Black Star, Brave Star, Motu, Silver Hawks, Tiger Sharks, and Thunder Cats.
And all that, done in the ThunderCats 2011 style (which already combined ThunderCats, SilverHawks, and Tiger Sharks).
My powers are only so great
blue flame Keldor
Are all the mini comics collected in Graphic novel format ? I would really like to read all these
I wish! Let DC know if this is something you want!
Ok it is time to get that campaign started, for sure. Thanks
Why would they scuplt a Clawful mini before Skeletor?
Skeletor came out in the original SDCC pack
@@spectorcreative1872 oh lol you did say that didnt you
Wow! keldor gets acid thrown in his face a lot! Sucks to be him ;-)
Its kinda his thing
Whwre can we get these comics?
They came with the MOTUC figures and DC has yet to collect them in a trade. Ask them to do it!
I got comic book guy vibes during this video😉
Ha!
I enjoyed this story, too bad the project fell apart.Would love an open platform gaming of beeing He-Man,Skeletor and other MOTU characters in Eternia / Etheria and Space.Choosing good guys or bad guys story.
Would have been cool!
I love MOTU but a quarter into this even I got confused and lost interest, it’s no wonder why it didn’t get picked up. The original storyline was concise and fluid to follow, this is waaaaaay exhausting.... lol 🙄
Well granted this is not the story that would have gone out there. It was reworked to be used to justify as many toys as possible as part of Classics.
Where can I read these comics?!
Only the first three have been reprinted. If you want the others ask DC to reprint them!
Yup. These designs were meant for something else
Loved the story. MOTU is one of those lines that easily could be a 10 seasons series, interesting from the beginning to the end without fillers.
If only!
Hey you can just pick up the Fisher Price figures and be simple. It is totally a valid option!
@@spectorcreative1872 thats not the answer i was looking for, but oh well
I like the 2000's version of He-Man. Animation and storyline much better. Only bad thing was Skeletor got away with too much
that's the thing about a good Thrakka Doom, it'll knock the demon right out of ya!
Every time
Is this story arc part of the reason why She-Ra and He-Man are now separate?
No, this is totally unrelated to Classic Media’s separation of the brands
@@spectorcreative1872 Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. Was there a plan to eventually redeem Adora? Or was she going to be a villain to her brother in the similar fashion Skeletor was the villain to his brother?
