Without a second thought, Post Scriptum is one of the best WW2 sims to date. Sledgehammer (CoD WW2 devs) should take note how to create gun sounds and how to load a scoped rifle.
This game has some nice animations. Good weight and you can easily see the force as he pushes rounds in or pulls the bolt back. Love to see it. That subtle shake makes all the difference

You NEED to do this for Beyond the Wire, it's a WW1 game in the same style as this and Squad. I think you'd enjoy it, the reloads are pretty accurate from what I can tell.

I would like to comment on the M1 Garand launcher. There is a spring loaded plug on the front of the gas tube that acts as a valve when the launcher attachment is attached to the rifle. This deactivates the gas tube. One thing that is iffy is when the player loads the launching cartridge. The proper way of doing it is to hold the blade of the hand on the op-rod handle, hold rearward pressure, press down on the follower, and let the action ride forward after loading the cartridge into the chamber and no fingers or thumbs are in the way of the action.
@@typhoonn3478 Clearly the animator is different. The Squad's animator clearly has more knowledge to when to add minor shake, recoil in certain parts of the reload animation. But for Post Scriptum, player is just having a spasm when he handles a firearm.
No I only play first person shooter. It's just that I like more of casual FPS games, and they don't fit my video formal that well or I haven't made videos of them yet
The reloads for topping off bolt actions and revolvers annoys me, where is the bullet? I know the implication is that they're hidden behind his fingers but you don't see any brass or anything shine from inside the hand to imply he's even holding any bullets.
I like that the G41 was reloaded by stripper clips instead of by magazine. I see a lot of game you just put a new mag in despite it not being very common

You open the bolt, push down the transporter, load rounds into the tube magazine, Repeat the Action once to get the transporter up, and lastly you load a round into the chamber by closing the bolt. You could just put a round into chamber.
The MP34? MP34 was developed even before Sten and Type 100 since those two weapons were designed in the '40s. Also MP34 is more of variation of MP28/II.
They basically did use normal Mills bomb hand grenades. They were slightly modified to have a 7 second fuse and some had a welded circular plate to the bottom of the frag matching the inside diameter of the cup to improve velocity and ammunition (thanks Ian from Forgotten Weapons for info!). Obviously, until the safety lever is released, the fuse doesn't ignite, so in theory the rifleman shouldn't kill himself!

It’s like battlefield 1 and V animations but some are better and some are worse. The weapon model view is a lot better than battlefields being all zoomed in
They were taught that way so they could stand perpendicular to their target, so that way they would expose the least amount of their body making them harder to hit, at the cost of handling of course

The thing about the bolt action reload is that you shouldn't repeat the rifle before reloading,

The StG44 is depicted as open bolt.
The BREN's mag is swiped out underhanded, the thumb might hit the catch.
