This one brought tears to my eyes. All the beautiful antique furniture reminded me of my paternal grandparents home. Makes me wonder why the surviving family members would not cherish nor value the legacy and inheritance the owners worked hard for. Heartbreaking.
Because the furniture is more to trouble than it’s worth. It has to be moved with manpower and you need a vehicle big enough to take it away. That costs money. Then you need a place to store it….that costs more money. Sometimes you love the furniture and underneath it’s rotted or cracked or the drawers are glued shut because they haven’t been used in decades. It may look good on video but when you inspect ot closely ….it’s not worth it.
@@penelopelopez8296 The storing is the killer. I've heard of ppl paying for moms antiques to sit in monthly storage until the daughter loses the job and can't pay...all actioned off.
Really sad, seeing everything left in that house, to know each thing purchased had a meaning or special memory we will never know, that these things didn’t mean enough to any family members to save, or sell on to someone else to enjoy. Your videos are excellent, I truly enjoy watching and look forward to seeing the next one. 👍😀
The owners of this house were probably elderly and they passed. The heirs have not been contacted to come claim the property, or they just weren’t interested. Such a shame that it wasn’t quickly claimed and sold on. So many things in the house would have been still useful. It’s so terrible to see it all just rotting away. A terrible waste.
I love Al these videos on these old homes but what I can't see is why destroy withso much destruction that and the mess they create.why not just let naturure take it's course.
Don't give in to the peer pressure Brent! If you don't want to go into the basement, don't go into the basement! Also, you really should bring your cell phone! You never know if you're going to need it!
...and a buddy too. That way, if you get stuck, fall etc, your buddy can go get help. On your own, you're kinda stuck, and on your own without a cellphone could have consequences. Stay safe!
Seriously, Brent, checking out these basements like this could mean the end of you. I explored abandoned homes for years, and after one bad experience, didn't attempt another basement explore again - ever. The door to the basement slammed behind me, I couldn't get it open at first, but I finally managed to get it opened, but a terrifying experience. Never again. Your Explores are the best - thank you.
Right? There's a tinge of sadness everytime I watch these. I can't help but wonder who they were? Were they happy? Why did they leave? Where did they go? I also wonder if the ones where there's tons of stuff like they legit got up and left if it was haunted. I'm into that stuff too.
I paused when you started up the stairs. This is sad. People spend their life building a place for family. They grow old, and die. Then the family blows it all off, and leaves it to rot. No respect, no thankfulness, no appreciation for what was done for them
Maybe the relatives left it to fall apart because abuse and neglect happened in the home. Maybe it was just too full of bad memories for the kids. The relatives could have hired someone to take care of things.
i suspect when we see these places, the owners grew old and the home and upkeep suffered because they physically were unable to maintain it. As for family, if any, they are busy building the lives and homes they want. It's not disrespect, it's just life. It's the mansions I don't understand. So much left behind that could be sold or donated.
This is really heartbreaking. It seems as if an older couple lived here at one point. All of the objects in the house point to that. This house reminds me a lot of my grandparent's home. I really liked that sewing table. My grandma had one minus the storage for the machine. I just love old things like that! What a magnificent find!
Can't believe the stuff just left to rot! 2 spindle beds, the antique crib, 3 cedar chests that I counted! The table chairs and couch in the big kitchen you came across last! Mind blowing how much personal stuff. And so very, very sad.
Love the videos, Brent. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. It's a real treat to be able to come along with you on your explorations after a long, stressful work week. I know it's hard for people to see homes filled with cherished items decay; I see a lot of comments on urbex channels blaming the kids for not wanting the house or letting it fall into ill repair. People make a lot of assumptions based on what they think is normal, and really, there isn't such a thing. A gentle reminder that not everyone has kids. Not all kids survive their parents. Sometimes people leave things to a relative who is unable to take over the responsibility due to their own decline. Some families are toxic; abusive adults grow older, but not kinder; often they become even more cruel and threatening. Abused kids grow up, but they don't magically heal and become whole. Sometimes they walk away so they can save themselves and stop the cycle. While I don't know the couple that appeared to own this home, as the child of an antiquing family, I recognize the value of many of the items left behind here. As the child of a toxic family, I can also tell you that while it is sad to see the material waste, I also understand that there is nothing more valuable than your peace and healing. Sometimes people choose their own well being over things. And I've seen others from loving, healthy families paralyzed with grief for years, unable to close that chapter of their lives and move forward. This, of course, doesn't touch on any of the potential legal issues that may arise if someone has to enter a nursing home or an extended care facility, if the home owners didn't have a will or a heir, family engaged in an drawn-out fight over the estate or items in it, or the heir is unable to manage the estate or can't afford to hire someone else to do it. These homes, like our own lives, are both beautiful and tragic, full of joy and of sadness, and perhaps that's why they resonate with us so.
Good explore, with the walk up to the house one can almost hear the crunch of leaves underfoot. Once the nice home of a nice couple complete with two sewing machines, a Standard and an Elna. The Hymnal on the fireplace mantel and the Christmas carol sheet music on the piano shows they had comfort in their faith. The style of the furniture in that upper bedroom at 17:34 is called "Barley-twist". The best item is probably those nice chairs, but my favorite items were the toboggans and the cow-bells at 23:45. The furniture could be saved but the house is a tear down at this point. So may you always avoid the bum gravy in your travels, and Dear Brent, if the stairs are looking that shaky, Don't Go In The Basement, we want ya alive. Cheers.
I find these old homes so interesting. Things sure were different back then. I think life was much easier in those days too. Technology has thrown us all into a wild and crazy time. It is sad to know there are things in there that was so important to the family, and now probably doesn't matter to anyone anymore. Nice tour. Thank you so much!!
I think this is best place you've ever visited! LOADED with beautiful antiques. And the mandatory piano. Those bed frames are both beautiful and hideous at the same time. Thanks for another great video!
Well I hope who ever comes to demolish the house has the good sense to remove the antiques from the house. Lord knows they don't make furniture like that anymore.
Another beautiful home Brent!!! Thank you SO MUCH for taking us along!!! Every time you show these old homes and farmhouses I'm in awe!!! I picture myself living there and bringing it back to it's original life!!! Much love from the Okanagan BC Canada!!! ❤️💕🇨🇦
Once the roof goes, it's pretty much a goner. Was a nice farmhouse at one time, loved the big windows. Can see various parts were remuddled and pretty eclectic mix of newer junk furniture and a few pieces of nicer old furniture. The old hand pump was neat, surprised still there, and the wood furnace says lots of work to heat that place. I think you're right surmising older couple and probably died or went to a nursing home. No heirs, or no one wanted to deal with it as needed lots of upgrading, plus spot looked fairly isolated. Great explore, enjoyed the experience as always! Stay safe!
Seeing all that antique furniture, suitcases, sewing machines and even that house fall to ruin makes me just cry. So sad. I would take that furniture etc in a heartbeat. Its right up my alley.
Don’t worry about us seeing the basements. If it doesn’t feel right, don’t do it. Can’t make more videos if your injured. Your safety comes first my guy!
Most heartbreaking is that owners worked so hard to get these beautiful items only to waste away like that? At least there are some far relative that can save these items really..so sad
I have an aunt who cleaned out what was left when my grandpa died and didn't tell my mom that's how much she hated my mom. We no longer speak to her because she stole all of my grandparents money and other issues as well. You would think there's stuff to keep in the family and pass down.
My husband’s great-great aunts and uncles lived in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. The kids moved off to look for jobs. My in laws would go and visit and check on his elderly family in local nursing homes just about every weekend even tho it was at least 6 hour drive one way. His brother would come once or twice a year. After the elderly family passed my father in law went into their homes to take care of items, disperse everything. To his surprised he found all of the valuables gone. ALL OF THEM. He got rid of everything and sold off stuff to send the money to the kids and grandkids. Come to find out the brother that came once in a while and did nothing was stealing the family blind. He and his greedy family. It was found out over the years when my FIL would visit his brother and see things on tables or walls being displayed.
WOW. Now that's one for the books. It looks like a VERY nicely built, formidable, graceful residence. WHY??? I mean, even if the place fell into a bit of disrepair and the folks got hauled out... why not go at it and bring it back?? That was no shack!
It must feel great to get outside after going through a house like that! I find myself holding my breath as you walk through! Great job on the video, thanks for taking us along.
Hai, I'm dian from Singapore,so sad they left the things in the beautiful house, before they left why they never gives their things to people, they also can give to poor people, very2 sad to see this.
true Canadian - "can only imagine the heating bill" !! Ha ha. Made me chuckle! Wow, love them pumps! My aunt had 1 out in the front yard, water was always yellowish but always boiled!! Sad deteriation of the roofs huh? Excellent find - thank you for the video, really enjoyed that! Peace&Prayers fr Montreal
Once a vibrant home, filled with probably so much joy and love, now withering away with the memories of once was. So sad, I can feel this home's sadness and loneliness...
I was thinking that also and based on the furnishings, I'd say there were 2 older people there and they died off or went into nursing care and there wasn't any relatives left to take care of the house.
Binging on your older videos. Love them. In case you see this, I have my mom’s hope chest which looked very similar. If you come across another one, try pushing that lock. That’s how mine opens. Take care
Sad, the crib and child's bed indicates there were probably family that stayed there sometimes. That was a nice home at one point. They left some nice furniture behind. The ruined roof has destroyed everything now. Such a shame that no one cares. Good video.
I wonder about the older people who lived in this house. How long were they married? What were their dreams? And how they must have missed the other so when one of them died? I wonder if they were happy. I picture them dancing around the house for some reason...
Sad to see a home lost like this with almost everything left. Glad you wore your mask, yeah basement not a good idea with it so wet. Thank you again for a great video. That old Elana machine & treadle.... wow !!
I see this as being one of those houses that was so far out that before winter weather came you better be stocked up on the necessities! Love the old sink pump faucet! That baby furniture is old....so beautiful. It’s a shame! Great find!
I really hope you tell someone where you are going so someone can check that you arrive home safely. Take care in these damaged places. Thankyou for doing a good job of showing us the details of these sad places. At least now there is a record of what the place was like.
This was a super neat old home. The kitchen faucet was a well pump. Old farmhouses had those down here in PA. Old sewing machine my great grandma had one of those. The pianos you find are incredible in these houses too they just need repaired and tuned up. Can't believe the familys don't come and get at least the valuables out. ♥️
This house felt so good, seems like the family had a good life in this house. Wish their was someone else who could enjoy it as well. You did an absolutely Great job filming and editing on this one! Thank you for bringing us along! 🏠 🏡
Looked like a large family lived there with the grandparents, loads of beds. I love the old style open concept, they had a couch and comfy chairs in the kitchen, the whole family must have spent a lot of time in that room while grandma cooked.
Another great explore and video. It does make me sad to see everything just left to rot and decay. It makes one wonder what in the world could have happened that things were left as if they went shopping never to return. Thanks again for another adventure!
Hello to you I love the guest room especially the bed.I agree that was a nice trunk with the fitted wood lid it may have been a dowry trunk.I think the room with the bed, crib and high chair had been saved from their children and set up in there for the grandchildren or greatgrand children for when they visited. They had a very heartwarming home and I'm sure there were many happy memories felt here a really lovely place it wasin it's day which gives me a happy feeling because the house well served it's purpose.
That home has so much potential ❣️ I would love to renovate it to most of it's original state and live there. The outside could look as welcoming as the inside homey with lots of hard work and passion🌝
Beautiful explore! That furniture ... who leaves furniture like that! The original kitchen sink was awesome ... the cook stove in the kitchen was awesome!!! So sad the house is in such bad shape.... hopefully the family or someone can save the contents... Thank you 😊
Some of the furniture, beds upstairs look to be in excellent condition until the rest of the roof gives way! It does appear that older people lived there - excellent video which I thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you! ❤️
So many amazing treasures in this home. It’s sad that everything is just going to die with the house.… Of older thing, It makes me sad to see these items decaying
12:02 a spirit talks over you. This is why I love listening to urbex videos in old abandoned places not only because I love watching them and yern to live in one the spirits come out to play and people always miss them talking? Listen people you will hear it. ❤️
Makes my heart sad with all those antiques left to rot 😓. Obviously there were adult children....why they didn't save that stuff kills me. At least you have it on film 💗
New to your channel and watching abandoned homes. Tired of our new reality maybe subconsciously finding comfort in viewing into others past possessions and taking focus off of todays worries. Thanks for sharing your videos from be safe. Texas fan🙂
Its a real shame about the roof letting in so much water. You can see that was a beautiful & much loved place with many nice things. It's kind of spooky to think those people were there & then suddenly gone. Someone cleaned out the fridge but they didn't get time to pack up their things. There must have been a younger part of the family with an infant that visited but no-one even came & picked up that photograph off the mantlepiece, let alone clear up the other belongings. Of course I wonder what happened.
Almost forgot! When you were approaching that sewing machine, I kept chanting “open the lid, open the lid.” 😆. Did not know about Singer buying Standard. Cool information. Thanks!!
Don't go in basement if you feel it's not safe . You got to keep yourself safe . I have a request , when you see books in shelves , could you stay on them a few seconds so we could see some of the titles . I like to know what people read .
What a find! So sad to see all of it just forgotten. The cedar chest you thought was locked was possibly not. If it's anything like mine (actually it was my mother's) you needed to push that "button" rather than try t o turn it.
Wow love this old house, such history. So sad to see it in such bad shape. At least u were able to capture with its true essence and beauty, thanks for showing!!!
This stuff is so FASCINATING. There's a tinge of sadness though. You can't help but try to picture what the home was like in its glory days. Was it a happy home? Why did they leave? Where did they go? What did they do for a living? Just so many questions.
There were SO many antique items sitting in this house - I know your rule is to never take anything and I really commend you for that because i can see some greedy explorers having a field day.
So many old antiques and interesting things among the debris and decay. Very sad to see though. Please take your phone with you always even if you leave it turned off...keep it in your pocket...you never know when you'll need it . Thanks Brent...great find and stay safe.
Wish you could find out why someone would just walk away and leave everything behind . Some other explorers have a story behind who and what happened. Very interesting info. Thanks for your videos.
Have you ever had someone watch one of your videos and recognize the home as their family’s? So intriguing and I’d love to hear backstories of how this happens in Canada.
Abandoned Urbex Canada I’m in Victoria BC and we just don’t have the abandonment of properties here as land is just way too explain ~ but every time I’ve traveled back to Ontario I’ve wanted to explore so many spots I’ve seen on our way to our family cottage on Lake Simcoe. What magic you get to explore
Yes I’ve been to BC a few times and not much abandoned places out there but lots of ghosts towns and mines. Have you seen this one ruclips.net/video/xEAWPxAD7oI/видео.html
Truly wonderful documentation of old, abandoned houses ! Would love it if you could do a little sleuthing to see if you could find out more about the owners and why they left so abruptly, or why the house's existence wasn't continued on with heirs or taken over by new families...truly mysterious! Love this ...
Thank you! I try to research every place I explore but most of them time the old owners don’t disclose to everyone why they left. Could be death, jail, unpaid mortgage, unpaid property tax, old age home
Very interesting but very sad. The leaky roof and vandals have really taken a toll on the house and it's interior. Once the roof goes the decay and deterioration really accelerate .
Hello my dear friend, I love your videos and each one of them makes me travel in time, this place for example is just wonderful, beautiful, I am from Brazil, but I love these countries like yours, and seeing this video I go back to the past, the machines sewing machine and this water pump, we had it here at home. congratulations and much success in your life and career. a hug

I wonder about the older people who lived in this house. How long were they married? What were their dreams? And how they must have missed the other so when one of them died? I wonder if they were happy. I picture them dancing around the house for some reason...
Interesting find with so much to see. The book that was falling apart, between the book ends, is a hymn book. Nice crib.
Sad to see a home lost like this with almost everything left. Glad you wore your mask, yeah basement not a good idea with it so wet. Thank you again for a great video. That old Elana machine & treadle.... wow !!
@@andychris7647, doing great. No worries here. How are you ?
Sad how the house is so decayed. Thanks for sharing your video. Have a great evening.
All the antique furniture 🪑 just wasting away is sad. Thank you again for sharing! Stay safe! .... 📱
Thank you so much for another great video! My heart was in my throat when you walked into the bedroom with the soft floor.
I see this as being one of those houses that was so far out that before winter weather came you better be stocked up on the necessities! Love the old sink pump faucet! That baby furniture is old....so beautiful. It’s a shame! Great find!
Thanks Tammie
@@andychris7647 yes thank you we are well! I hope your family is doing well also!
Wow! No vandalism! Ya gotta love Canada.
It's so sad to see a place like this with someone's personal things left and forgotten. 😥
I really hope you tell someone where you are going so someone can check that you arrive home safely. Take care in these damaged places. Thankyou for doing a good job of showing us the details of these sad places. At least now there is a record of what the place was like.
Thanks Sarah
This is really a sad one!! So much left behind. Those beds! That stove! 😢
Oh thank you very much😁
Looked like a large family lived there with the grandparents, loads of beds. I love the old style open concept, they had a couch and comfy chairs in the kitchen, the whole family must have spent a lot of time in that room while grandma cooked.
Some of those items are perfect for restoration. The oven. The sewing machine. The water pump. Just stuck in time. Great find!
Thanks!
Omg the books and the old vhs tapes, phones and sewing machine 😍😍😍
Wow why in the world would they leave everything behind!! That crazy so much stuff....👍👍👍
Another great explore and video. It does make me sad to see everything just left to rot and decay. It makes one wonder what in the world could have happened that things were left as if they went shopping never to return. Thanks again for another adventure!
Your welcome! And thank you for the coffee 😁👍
Wow so cool! Literally a time machine..I'd love to be able to see it! Lucky you! Thanks for sharing ❤🤗👍
Your welcome 😁
Very different house, can't believe everything that was left behind... Loved the blue couch!! Great explore 😀... Sending more coffee your way 👍!!
What a beautiful picture hanging over the table.A lot of beautiful things left behind...sad
Thank you 😊
Amazing. Thinking of all those items just sitting there day and night...summer and winter....how tragic and beautiful. Thanks for the video
Your welcome Eric
Some of the furniture, beds upstairs look to be in excellent condition until the rest of the roof gives way! It does appear that older people lived there - excellent video which I thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you! ❤️
Oh I would love to bring this home back to life tfs 💗
This was a phenomenal house, thank you for sharing it!
Your welcome 😁👍
So many amazing treasures in this home. It’s sad that everything is just going to die with the house.… Of older thing, It makes me sad to see these items decaying
Seeing the Stokes seed catalogue on the sofa reminded me of my Dad. Miss him so much....
12:02 a spirit talks over you. This is why I love listening to urbex videos in old abandoned places not only because I love watching them and yern to live in one the spirits come out to play and people always miss them talking? Listen people you will hear it. ❤️
She said "I don't want to do this".
Those bed frames are amazing! So many treasures left at that house!
Tragic....but you did make me laugh out loud several times!! Thank you, Brent & stay safe!
Oh that’s good! 😂
Makes my heart sad with all those antiques left to rot 😓. Obviously there were adult children....why they didn't save that stuff kills me. At least you have it on film 💗
Looks like the raccoons and squirrels are having fun in there. A lot of what you see is damage from the raccoons. They will get into everything.
Philip deCatanzaro they really are little buggers!
Squirrels are no joke either lol
12:00 Someone with you? It sounds like someone right next to you wispering! " I don't want to this!"
Once upon time happy family house!
I heard it too. "I don't want to do this".
I heard it too!
It’s very clear!
New to your channel and watching abandoned homes. Tired of our new reality maybe subconsciously finding comfort in viewing into others past possessions and taking focus off of todays worries. Thanks for sharing your videos from be safe. Texas fan🙂
Your welcome! And thanks for checking out my channel 😁👍
Thanks for going in the basement. Greatly appreciated 🤣!
Love your videos… most of all… clean mouthed!!! You’re awesome ❤️❤️
Almost forgot! When you were approaching that sewing machine, I kept chanting “open the lid, open the lid.” 😆. Did not know about Singer buying Standard. Cool information. Thanks!!
Sometime they are taken out
This is so sad that people past away and the family just let Memories rot away!!
It sure is
That must have been a elderly couple that lived there. They must have passed away, leaving the house. So sad about the rough caving in,was a cute house.
Don't go in basement if you feel it's not safe . You got to keep yourself safe . I have a request , when you see books in shelves , could you stay on them a few seconds so we could see some of the titles . I like to know what people read .
Ok 😁👍
What a find! So sad to see all of it just forgotten. The cedar chest you thought was locked was possibly not. If it's anything like mine (actually it was my mother's) you needed to push that "button" rather than try t o turn it.
Wow love this old house, such history. So sad to see it in such bad shape. At least u were able to capture with its true essence and beauty, thanks for showing!!!
Your welcome!
It has to feel sad there in that house with all their belongings left.
I often follow your Chanel and I enjoy watching the shows show the video, because you can choose the place
This stuff is so FASCINATING. There's a tinge of sadness though. You can't help but try to picture what the home was like in its glory days. Was it a happy home? Why did they leave? Where did they go? What did they do for a living? Just so many questions.
Death, family lives to far away
There were SO many antique items sitting in this house - I know your rule is to never take anything and I really commend you for that because i can see some greedy explorers having a field day.
Wow, stunning to see everything that was simply left in place...
So many old antiques and interesting things among the debris and decay. Very sad to see though. Please take your phone with you always even if you leave it turned off...keep it in your pocket...you never know when you'll need it . Thanks Brent...great find and stay safe.
Thank you Wanda 😁
Wish you could find out why someone would just walk away and leave everything behind . Some other explorers have a story behind who and what happened. Very interesting info. Thanks for your videos.
Death
@@AbandonedUrbexCanada Thank You for answering. Sad.
Have you ever had someone watch one of your videos and recognize the home as their family’s? So intriguing and I’d love to hear backstories of how this happens in Canada.
Yes a few times 😁
Abandoned Urbex Canada I’m in Victoria BC and we just don’t have the abandonment of properties here as land is just way too explain ~ but every time I’ve traveled back to Ontario I’ve wanted to explore so many spots I’ve seen on our way to our family cottage on Lake Simcoe. What magic you get to explore
Yes I’ve been to BC a few times and not much abandoned places out there but lots of ghosts towns and mines. Have you seen this one ruclips.net/video/xEAWPxAD7oI/видео.html
Thank you so much for including the music tracks in the credits. The intro track is divine 😁👍🏼💞
Omg it’s so true Canadians say house so cute lolol the U lolol I’m from Detroit I always wanted to go to Canada again I loved it.
Hello my dear friend, I love your videos and each one of them makes me travel in time, this place for example is just wonderful, beautiful, I am from Brazil, but I love these countries like yours, and seeing this video I go back to the past, the machines sewing machine and this water pump, we had it here at home. congratulations and much success in your life and career. a hug
Thank you Vilma!
What a beautiful house.. It's so sad...
Thank you Brent for yet another tour!
Oh your welcome 😁
@@AbandonedUrbexCanada 😘
I love the kitchen table and chairs from the second kitchen! I bet they left in the late eighties..
