4:33 I have - literally - thousands of hours in Night City. I’ve been to the columbarium once or twice during every playthrough, and still had absolutely NO idea that quest NPCs that die during a playthrough actually end-up in the columbarium! Does the depressed guy that lost his tortoise from the Megabuilding end up there if he commits suicide? How about the ex-military guy that’s hiding out in an otherwise abandoned run-down building? Scorpion? Sampson if Claire domes him?
I didn’t find many of the hidden things featured in this video, but I did find this one 7:43 . In fact, I think it’s strange that anyone would miss this one (the woman’s body in the van), since it’s kind of natural to approach this Cyberpsycho site from the beach area underneath the pier. HOWEVER, carrying the woman’s corpse up onto the pier causing the ‘Psycho’ to briefly stun/panic (at the sight of his dead daughter) is a CRAZY little detail that probably only 0.001% of players would ever witness without a guide.
with the finger's tip; you can just go through a window in the waiting room and enter through the window that way. that's how i did it in my first playthrough.
Or you can hack his PC, set your meeting with him at a earlier hour and that way you are the next one in the line, skipping everyone else waiting in that room
for everything they didn't do with the cut content for this game, they really packed in a bunch of small but major details that really go a long way to putting this game into GOTY category. It really makes me excited for Project Orion.
If I were you I'd be extremely cautious about new CDPR games as their dev teams are going to filled to the brim (esp. the Boston branch which is going to work on CP2077 sequel) with DEI hires... so I'm expecting nothing better than Starfield, AC: Shadows, SW Outlaw etc. nonsene.
I have almost 4k hours now in CP77 and some of these I never found out myself. Like the stun effect on the ex-army cyberpsycho from bringing the body of his daughter to him. That's really cool. I read the shards involving that cyberpsycho quest and it's so satisfying how he took out those tyger claws.
I recommend it. I bought the game the first time it went on discount and have over 4000 hours in game according to Seam now. I was about to uninstall about a year ago but then Phantom Liberty came out. I’m still playing now because of the quality of the expansion. I feel like I have another couple of play throughs before I’ll need to move on to something new. Definitely got my money’s worth out of this game. no idea if it's possible, but I would LOVE an alternate start mod for Cyberpunk. It's immersion breaking for me to do side quests while also, ya know, dying and searching for a cure.
Great point. The main story of Cyberpunk 2077 (and the side quests that are most-intimately connected to the main plot) are good. The other content in Cyberpunk 2077 (that isn’t strongly connected to the main plot) is really good! But the urgency premise in the main story REALLY does not interact well with the vast majority of the side-content. Like, is V - while having a ticking time-bomb in his head - really going to spend time talking Regina’s media colleague down from hiding and acting suicidal? Or helping a mayoral candidate to uncover the clandestine espionage that’s infiltrated his penthouse? Or participating in an outdoor shooting competition against a bunch of right-wing nut-jobs while drinking hard liquor, straight? How about driving Claire’s SUV through a circuit of firearms-allowed street races? None of these activities make sense for an individual who is suffering from rapidly progressive neurological impairments and a prognosis of “fix this chip in your head ASAP or your brain will be overwritten by AI”.
I don't know if there's an alternate start mod where you don't steal the relic, but there is a NG+ mod where you can skip the intro missions up to the first time you meet Johnny.
My head canon way around this is that I do all the ncpd and gigs first while V is processing their “denial” about what’s happening and is trying to focus on being the best in NC. Johnny even sort of refers to this when I says, “it’s all going too slow, wasting days weeks… that’s the part I want you to skip.”
The Smoke on the Water Quest, I actually found the daughters body before going up the pier from the location I was coming from. I then found the shard from the gang boss. I worked super hard to make sure I took him down but alive.
1:42 This is a great find, and evidence of CDPR putting in the effort to record and code content that 99% of players will never access, even by accident. Little ‘secrets’ like these aren’t special, but they are cool, and show the depth of the game’s writing and complexity.
I never knew that if you'll present the father the corpse of his kidnaped daughter, he would be stunned. Such a cool addition, and most likely that a lot of players have missed. It just shows how much went into every single aspect of this game.
Thanks. I've played through the game several times but never found out these features. The secret interactions with Karim and the military guy Ramirez are really cool.
Lol I didn't know about the side window entrance when confronting Fingers. Judy: "Oh, you're already here. Coulda told me you weren't a door person." kind of killed me lol.

I say this because on the latest run that I'm doing right now, I ran into that trauma team while going to my fight with Ozob... at 2 in the afternoon. You can also re-enable NCPD's aggression if you wish to by finding a trauma team and hitting them. As long as you don't hit a trauma team member, cops will remain passive.

Adding to secret outcomes, Cyberpsycho sighting in which Maelstorm tortured Valentino (?) ganger with bunch of mods and had him go rogue on them will have a bunch of Maelstorm walking around if you return to it at a later date and you can listen to them trying to figure out what happened. It's the little details that make the NC such a vibrant place, some of the secret/unmarked loot stashes also have pieces of story attached to them and you can even find some that connect dots for bigger things (like the netrunners doing some shady business for one person all over NC and getting fried for it), or are a bonus little stories for gigs, scanner and so on (like a dude that got shot by security bots with a shard that reveals he was someone Dino hired for a gig he also offers to you).

Some of these I knew, some are new to me. 6 times through the game so (3 of those, I consider to be through) far and there’s still new content. I remember early reviews claiming that our actions don’t have much consequence. That never quite felt right to me and with each new play through, I find more and more. Love how stories carry on through other NPCs and locations even if the player doesn’t notice or seek them out.
I honestly think it's sad that NCPD gives no loot on kill. The fight can be tough but you don't get squat, it's always a waste of time to battle them, even MaxTac is worthless to fight and kill.
