So I'm still having trouble. I got it to work once but forgot to take off the jumper and now it won't bind. Both transmitter and receiver both say binding forever.

Hi Adam, I have this Rx and I'm having trouble powering it. The only cable that delivers power from my ESC is labelled "roll", the rest are single control wires (roll has 3 wires). I can get the Rx to power on and flash red if I plug "roll" into the B/VCC pins. I have tried plugging "roll" into the rest of the ports but no lights. Obviously I can't bind this way because I can't use the B/VCC port for the binding plug.... Also unsure how I'm supposed to power the Rx when using my drone, as from my drones ESC I only have the "roll" delivering power.... How are you managing to provide power to the Rx by plugging into channel 3? Any help you could give would be much appreciated, cheers!

Hey Adam I'm just going to go ahead and drop this here. For those of you that are having trouble binding the FlySky FS i6x just bind it like normal and if you see that it's not binding just let it stay there for a long time it worked for me.

@@RCwithAdam1 thats what she said 😆😆😆 🤘 hey Adam if you have a moment, I have the tinyhawk race. I'm connecting a fli14+ (flysky ibus) rx to it and selected the UART port accordingly. I selected serial/spektrum/ etc and IBUS on the configuration. I saved. I also made sure my radio (fsi6x) is on ibus but I'm not getting any response although my rx is bound to the radio.
I did everything I could think of even switched to sbus and still nothing.
Upon closer examination of the quads board I notice it says SBUS next to where I soldered the 3 wires (and I made 100% sure they are in the correct pads) according to a video here showing how to install a crossfire. Does this mean this quad does not accept ibus?

@@brian_mcnulty actually, I had a new radio and tried to bind and it never bound. Not sure what happened but I ended up buying a flysky paladin pl18. However, for this case stated above I waited near 20 minutes at least. If it doesnt work try moving closer or away from the reciever. Good luck.

​@@brian_mcnulty I waited for a long time and got nothing but I hooked up power and ground to my bench power supply and supplies a constant 5 volts and then I also replaced the bind key with just a female to female jumper and I don't know which of the two (I suspect the jumper) fixed the issue. I know this is a lil late but maybe it'll help someone else out in the future.

Maybe you can help me. After not playing with my Chinese hydraulic loader for about 6 months I recharged my 3S lipo battery along with replacement the 4 AA batteries in my Flysky i6S radio. After turning on the radio and plugging in my battery the vehicle rotating beacon starts but the radio screen shows no power to the RX and therefore it doesn’t start ( there’s no on/off switch on the model to activate). Not sure why. Do I need to rebind? Why would I “loose” the bind just after inactivity? Any thoughts on what to do?

I got a different problem. It binds, but when you leave it like a day then it just forgets my transmitter and i have to bind it again. Do i have to keep the bind plug on, when i dont use it or what is the problem?(i got the fs-ia6 and the fs-ia6b)

Have a FS T4B that did not bind to a GR3e. Ended up to be the voltage regulator on one of the PC boards inside the T4B remote. Tested the regulator, was only getting ±1 volt on the output. Replaced it and BAM, binding done and working.

I'm in need of some advice. I'm trying to bind to an FS-iA6B or FS-R6B but no luck with either. The receiver and transmitter just sit there on their binding screen without doing anything.
I've tried:
Moving the transmitter away
Changing the order in which I switch them on
Making a new bind plug
Putting the receiver antennas at 90 degrees to eachother
Is it possible that the issue is my receiver power source? I'm using this for a robot wars robot so am using a Bristol Bot Builders ant-weight dual ESC, but it supplies a constant 5V like any other ESC.
I'm at a loss and this wireless do-hickery melts my brain so any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I have a binding problem with my flysky fs-i6 transmitter binding with wltoys f949s receiver I have set the transmitter AFHDS and switch off put the battery in the receiver and it flashes twice and then stops then 2and stops and on like that press the bind button and the transmitter on switch the receiver carries on flashing as before switch off transmitter switch back on but still carries on flashing as before. I hope you can help as running out of ideas.

I discovered my problem a week ago. My receiver wouldn't bind also.
After a long time I (10 attempts with 3 different receivers) I find out what my problem was.
If you want to bind a receiver be sure that (in system, RX setup) the 'AFDHS' is ON.
This tells you if the receiver is 'speaking' with the transmitter two ways.

I had to buy a new transmitter/controller for my Eclipse 1M Rage RC sailboat because I damaged the first one. I have had no luck binding. The manual says just push the binding button several times after turning on transmitter followed by receiver. I have tried moving the sailboat to a different location and have tried binding from different distances. The receiver LED is suppose to stay solid when bound but it just keeps blinking. Hei FPV flayers, i get my self a Tyro 99 and i am finish with the building but my Problem is that i try to bind my FS-I6 Radio to a FS-A8S reciver, since 2 days i try out lot of tips but nothing realy worked, for some reason i think that i have to set up my Radio befor binding?!? I built a DIY plane and bind successfully combo TX FS-T4B & FS-R6B it worked everything before.
Stayed away untouched for 3 months and now combo is bound but servos not working.
Throttle (ch3) is fine but not others.
Tried swoop receiver got the same.
I don't have any more clues to sort this out. Do you have any idea of what can I try?

I'm on FlySky FS-I6 TX, FlySky FS-IA6 RX, and an Mtroniks Viper Marine 25 ESC.
I plug the bind plug into the bind channel on the receiver, then give it power from the ESC. The red light flashes quickly. I hold the bind button on my transmitter, and the RX light flashes slower. But the TX won't say "RXbind OK". Nothing will work.
If you have any advice, I'd be greatly appreciative! Thanks!!!!
EDIT: I'm a complete moron. I forgot to charge the battery.

Need some advice: I basically have the "FlySky FS-i6x" transmitter and receiver and I'm using the "Osprey 22" now the plane is bind and fly, and I'm installing the receiver onto the plane. Hi! Are you still having trouble? Yes, the esc needs 5v power, usually from the ESC (ESC with BEC 5v output servo connector).

This reply might be a bit late but I noticed the same thing, most forums said "It is reporting transmission errors" "At low % should indicate if you plane is in range and has good signal, at high % it is beginning to lose signal."

No, some of them (like the fli14+) use a tiny bind button. Hold the button down, plug in the battery then release it, and it will continue blinking if it is in binding mode.

Hi! The receiver needs a constant 5 volts to operate, and this ESC is made to both power the rx and receive throttle signals from the rx (it's called an ESC with a Battery Eliminator Circuit and this setup is very common). So most of the time you will need to power the rx through the ESC, UNLESS you choose to use stand-alone BEC to power the rx separately.

I have an interesting case with my FS-i6 radio with the 10 channel firmware hack. I am using a iA10 receiver. If I move the receiver, e.g. from one model to another then bind to the model of interest it binds OK as on the display but the Radio doesn't display the receiver battery status voltage, almost as if it's not bound. It's weird because I am still able to control the model however on one the models it refused to work in this manner. Ended up resetting it and creating a new profile. It's like the receiver has left over code in it not allowing it to work properly with a different model. If I create a new profile it seems to always bind and show the receiver status fine. I could just buy several receivers and dedicate each to a model to solve the hassle but it is bugging the heck out me as to why. If anyone has an answer please comment.

If your having binding problems where your receiver binds OK but still does not output check your radio settings and under "RX Setup" and then "PPM Output" make sure your are using the correct protocol. For a simple plane use IBUS/PWM. For a quadcopter with lots of outputs you might use IBUS/PPM. I got stuck on this recently for a simple plane setup as I was use to using IBUS/PPM on my quadcopters.

Hi! Sorry for the delayed reply. It looks like the r8ef receiver uses radiolink's FHSS protocol, and is not compatible with flysky's AFHDS 2A protocol. Make sure the FS-A8S is in the correct mode, either sbus or ibus.

I am able to bind without any problems. But when I plug a servo into my receiver, it doesn't work. I've plugged a servo into all of the channels and have tried every stick movement and switch on my transmitter, but the servo does nothing. Any help? RCwithAdam all 3 I have tried are the flysky FS-GR3F. The one that comes with the controller. I bought a handful of the same one to use on each of my vehicles. It worked for 2 other cars but this one just won’t bind.

Aways when I plug the receiver in it goes into bind mode and no matter if the binding cable is plugged in or not. If If bind it than the light flashes slowly also after removing the bind cable

@@naimbenzaid9553 After looking at the V4's manual, it is not compatible with a PWM receiver (which is the only protocol that the iA6 uses). You'll need a rx that can use PPM or a serial protocol. The FS-iA6B rx could work, for example.
