    Just wondering if I am going to make isomalt glass as a container then I pour pasta sauce in it. I wonder if it would hold up or it will melt instantly? I want to surprise my buddy in her birthday and wanna make something special for her.

      It should hold the sauce for a little while. Especially if you protect the isomalt with edible glaze spray.

    Thank you for your video. I am still worried about the fact that isomalt melts. I am making some decorations for a birthday cake and I am very worried that they will melt before the cake gets to the table. Can you tell me if using the glaze will prevent them from melting hours before and during the party?

    • @SugarQueenEva

      Hi Mariza. Thank you for your question. Edible glaze spray protects isomalt from moisture, that makes isomalt dull, mat looking and sticky. It doesn't protect it from the heat. But luckily isomalt is much more resistant than regular sugar, so if decoration is not exposed to heat, it should stay nice and shiny with the help of glaze protection. Hope this helps:)

    What if i make my isomalt decor this morning and i will use it this afternoon can that be possible that it will melt?

    • @SugarQueenEva
      @SugarQueenEva  10 месяцев назад

      You can make isomalt decoration weeks in advance. You just need to protect it from moisture. Use edible glaze spray (spray the decoration and let it dry) then put it in a air tight plastic box and put in the box also some silica gel to absorb the moisture.
      If you are going to use it the same day, just glaze it with edible spray (right after it cools down) and leave the decoration in the room temperature.
      Hope this was helpful:)

    can cook isomalt with water ??? How bout the ratio

    • @SugarQueenEva
      @SugarQueenEva  Год назад +1

      The same as with granulated sugar... if you cook it on the stove, you can add some water, it doesn't matter how much water, you will have to cook it until all water evaporates anyway. But let's say 1 cup of isomalt and ¼ of a cup of water. But isomalt has to reach higher temperature than granulated sugar - 160 degrees Celsius.
      It is a lot easier to just heat the isomalt in the microwave without adding water.

    Just wondering will the spray effect the tastes of a person is making tea bombs with isomalt?

    • @SugarQueenEva
      @SugarQueenEva  2 года назад +1

      Shellac is primarily used for coating chocolate goods like candy-covered raisins and nuts. Besides, it is also applied as a covering on certain nutritional supplements, pills and coffee beans. So it shouldn't have any taste or smell once it dries. But I will spray a piece of isomalt, let it dry, have a taste and let you know, so we can be sure, ok?:))

      @@SugarQueenEva thank you for your quick reply I guess I should have said would it effect the clarity of the tea once the tea bomb melts? I don’t think it will?! I’m in Canada and have searched the type you have in your video and it doesn’t look like I’m going to be able to purchase it online being in northern Alberta it’s a challenge to find items like this lol but I’m stubborn 😉 I’m excited for my new experiments to isomalt your video has been far the best for being informative and helpful I’ve found so thank you

      @SugarQueenEva  2 года назад +1

      @@DyingcrowdLC Hi. I don't think it will effect the clarity of the tea either:) it shouldn't, because the shellac is clear color. You don't have to worry about the type of shellac that I used, just check if it contains shellac (E904) and propellant and nothing else! You can't go wrong with it:)

    Hello, thank you very much for the video. I'm using Isomalt for a dance performance (I cook it, pour it on a flat surface, wait until it dries, then I transport it on stage and I go on it and break it, see video here from 0:32: ruclips.net/video/Drq5edrFQvk/видео.html). The problem is that when I perform in humid places it get sticky and it sticks to the floor. I would like to use the glaze spray but you said that it is hard to clean. If I spray the Isomalt, and then put it on stage once it's dry, does it still make the floor dirty or once it is on the isomalt it stays on it?
    Thank you very much and I hope the message is clear.

      I watched your video. Wow, you are a great dancer and performer!
      The glaze spray will definitely help with stickiness. Wait until the poured piece cools to room temperature then give it a coat of edible glaze on one side, when it dries, repeat on the other side. It stays on:) Hope this helps. let me know how it goes. Keep on dancing:)
