I’m 6ft 1in and 240lbs and anyone who is of a similar size to me or bigger, go with the XL-RS over their other seats. I sat in a normal sized one and man it was uncomfortable due to my size and it felt like it was poking me. I’ve had the XL-RS for eight days now, it’s so comfortable and there’s still plenty of space in their for guys bigger than me. I’ve done several hours in one day sessions, never do I get numb bum or legs and it’s so comfy I also had an afternoon nap on it. You should ask for an affiliate link with GT Omega, I bought one because of Jardier and got 5% Jardier discount. You deserve one too!
Thanks! Yeah I had one for a while. They recently changed the company they were using for their affiliate program and I chose not to renew. But they do make really great products.
jspangla hey there honestly you will be too big for the 6 and your shoulders will be pinched and hampered. You are basically the same height and weight as me and the 6 dug into my shoulders and you can’t drive comfortably or properly. I’ve had the XL-RS for a year now and love it. I’ve had girl and boy mates who are smaller than me use my rig and they comment on how comfy the seat is. I have a friend with the 6 and I’ve sat in it and I’m simply too big in the shoulders for it and it’s not designed for people of our size. Long story short you need the XL-RS seat!
@@jamesleegte Hi James, I'm looking to order either the RS9 or the XL. I'm tiny, I'm only 5ft 8, is there any con of having the XL over then rs6 or rs9 being a small guy? I notice all these reviews mention how they are better for the bigger guys but don't mention whether they're still a good buy for a smaller guy. I'm just thinking if it's more comfortable then I'm happy to pay the price but don't want it to turn up and be too big for me haha. Can you put my mind at ease before I buy the XL please haha. Thanks.
Do you have a video where you show how you mounted the Omega seat to the Sim-Lab GT1 rig? did you have to use and external mounting system or can it be bolted straight to the rig, thanks!
I've had mine about a year and one side of the seat back was bent further back than the other, I was able to bend it forward but the whole seat back wobbles quite a bit. Very flimsy and has not held up well. It looks great, the finish still looks new and the padding lasts but the actual hinges are weak. Now they sell them for over $300. Would not recommend. Just made a video showing it.
Nice vid! Both seats are really good. I recommend GT Omegas products, and their customer service is amazing! Dan, my XL-RS seat does not look or have the same setup on the right side as yours, and it did not get delivered in two pieces.
Just curios, my seat brackets are way too small on the XL seat. So install to the GT Omega Prime cockpit was more difficult that a smaller seat. Did you encounter this?
Looking for a seat for my GT1 Evo. Do either of these seats flex under braking? Especially when used with a load cell? I'm 5'11" and 145 lbs, will the XL be too big? Thanks for the help, I've been enjoying your channel!
nice, thank you for doing this, would you recommend still the xl for a 8020 for price and comfort ?? debating a omega titan, or an 8020, not looking for a smooshed "realistic" feeling, just comfort, if that makes sense. 5'9 230 lbs. thanks much for your time
Both the RS6 and the XL have some visual movement if you pay attention and push back on the seat. That being said even the recaro sport seats in my real car have some flex if you press back hard. When driving with either seat I don't notice it at all. Even when standing hard on my load cell brake I don't notice the movement while racing but visually it would probably be seen if paying attention. I believe the only way to completely remove any movement would be to use a one piece seat like an OMP similar to the one that Berry (SRG) uses.
Both the RS6 and RS9 are quite a bit smaller than the XL-RS. I would recommend the XL-RS for anything over 200lbs. I’m 200 lbs and the RS seats hug me pretty tight.
hey i ordered mine and it still hasn't left the warehouse I've waited a week and still haven't go it how old did it take you PS I'm in the united states
I've noticed they have been having some delays in seat stock lately. It typically took about 1 week to get items from them to me but I recently ordered a RS9 seat and GT Omega cockpit and it took a little longer. Hopefully you get it soon!
I've just got the RS6, Tbh I'm 5'11 and 16 and a half stone, but although the rS6 is snug, it's more of a hug. It fits me nice and have sat in it racing for over 4 hours at a time with no issues
@@DanDiMaggio only slight issue I have right now having only got one a couple of days ago is the offgassing smell coming from it, hopefully that'll go within a week or so
I use a cloth seat cover on mine which helps with the sweat issue . I paid $249 for my 2018 racing seat for my GTRS-F Simulator Cockpit , and is seat # 2 . Not exact but similar to your new one in the shape of the seat but different in stitching design . My dream seat is the one Sim Racing Garage has , like I said a dream or more of a pipe dream at this point .. l.o.l
To bad the do a horrible job packaging there products. Got my rs6 with a busted plastic corner be because they only clear wrao everything. No bubble wrap of Styrofoam inside

Hey James Storey, what rig did you mount it on? I'm thinking of ordering the sim labs gt evo.
Vathsidious hey there I never got a you tube notification for your question. My chair is on the Simitek K2 cockpit late 2019 edition with the red bar.

Thank you. This was the review I been looking for.
Awesome job! I was looking for this video and happy to have found it.
How do you mount the rs6 to a custom rig. And does the seat include rails to mount to a custom rig
Thanks for the comparison/review! Very helpful in deciding which is best for me.
Fair winds and following seas to all.

That's a nice seat. I may also be going with GT1 Evo rig. It's over $300 cheaper than the Rseat S1, and that's with a monitor stand.
Gt1 evo cockpit is amazing.

Dan, my XL-RS seat does not look or have the same setup on the right side as yours, and it did not get delivered in two pieces.
That's weird. I wonder if they have changed things recently. How long ago did you get yours?
Agree. Got delivery 2 months ago. Sent you a couple of pictures. Check your mail.

Its always important the seats smell good.
8 ball ............
Hello, do you know width of the mounting brackets ? Thanks in advance.
So these seats DO mount to the Sim Lab GT1-EVO?
They should.

Hey, do you have the mounting sizes? Wanna run the XL RS on a simetik k2.
Some segments in the video are stamped not adjacent to each other
Hey, does it flex over braking? I saw the simracing garage video and its seems the back flex a lot. Thanks!

@@DanDiMaggio Thanks for sharing your point of view. I really appreciate it! And Keep up with the good content :)
Are both these seats the same size? I am 5'6 235 pounds I need a large seat for better comfort.

Hey! Did you do anything special to get either seats to fit the the simlab GT-1 Evo?
What’s the process for mounting these on the Simlab? What extra parts do I need to buy?
Would these seats mount to the Next Level F-GT chassis?
Buy omega rigs!! Use omega seats. Quite simple
Great Video!

The rs9 killing my back there is like no lumbar support
Yeah despite being their cheapest seat the RS6 is the most comfortable imo
I use a Woojer vest to fill in as a lumbar support on my RS9.
It works very well. Adds to the immersion as well.
Same here, I am now on the fence if I should get the XL or change the whole cockpit
