- The World Champion Mikhail Tal is known for his great sacrificial combinations. In this game he also sacrifices material and carries out a brilliant attack, but still, this game is different. As the queens are exchanged in the opening and the arising position is almost symmetrical and looks like a dead-draw. But then Tal's magic begins. In a totally drawish position Tal improves his pieces and starts weaving a mating net around the enemy king.

If he hadn t dealed with fatal health issues all during his career, he would have been accepted the best of all time with his infinite power of imagination and magical vision over the board... He s a hero.. He will always stay my favourite.. Kasparov once said that Tal doesn t calculate, he already sees all the combinations... Salute you The Magician of Riga 🎉🙏
Maybe his closeness to death also helped him in some way.
This is one of the best chess channels ever

Good morning. Thank you very much for your kind words.
Wspaniale wytlumaczone.
fantastic game & Tal make it looks so simple. Keep up your great work & vids. Cheers!
for me tal is the greatest, although there are better players. his games are often so entertaining.
…it may well be that in a previous life Tal was an 8-brained octopus…
21:18 -- the bishop is *NOT* trapped... It has d6 to escape to !!
but then Rc6 would follow, it's essentially trapped
I knew that at the end game holding king at center is better but i did'nt itis better than castling too(i lots of situation)...
Incredible how many variations he calculeted (if he did😂)
Tal was completely right, and even of you don't see immediate attacking possibilità, when White played ke2 there were still two rooks and three minors on the board, so It doesnt feel so safe to me, Just looking
Btw i don't want to appear arrogant....of course tal was completely right, he was Always right! Even the few times he was wrong!
Who was the Tal's opponent? And what is the place and the date of the game?
Mikhail Mukhin. Moscow 1972.
8:22 white to move. Pawn to B5?
Here is what Tal writes about 19 b5: "... the move 19 b5 is not dangerous, as
Black gets a positional advantage after 19 ... Ne5 20 bxc6 Nxd3 21cxb7 Rb8. I intended to take up a strong position on c4 with the knight, because
my opponent had weakened this square with his incautious 14th move"
The engine evaluates this position as equal though.
Kd2 After Blacks f5 seems so wrong!!
