What would be nice if you gave this complete set up away as a gift to three lucky winners. I would love to be one of the three winners. Thanks. Have a great weekend. 🎁
Great setup. The command strips are brilliant! I use magnets with hooks and they like to slowly slide out of position until they either start yanking the cord or suddenly drop off. One note on the desk - I’ve been using that exact one for 2 years - make sure you have an adjustable height monitor stand and chair. It can be tricky to stay comfortable for long periods because of how low the drawers hang into your lap. Proper elbow/wrist alignment really starts to matter after a few hours of editing! 😉
I use it for mostly photo and video editing because you can see all your tracks at once and because I've been taking a lot more vertical pictures than before. It's also great for spreadsheets. Turning a regular monitor to portrait (vertical mode) isn't the same because regular monitors are skinny 16:9 aspect ratio. My bosses had me order 7 more for their pharmacy. Since it's so vertical, you can see all the patient prescriptions at once.
Please do this kind of tutorial for full body videos. I do a lot of full body try-on haul videos and always struggle with my setup/lights and etc. Thanks! 🤒🥰
So funny! I just bought the 52 inch husky workbench in the same colors! They have different sizes on the website and compared to the high prices of other adjustable desks, you won’t find a better deal or better quality!
Love it, I'm on my studio 3.0 now. It's mainly a commercial space but i'm making it my dedicated YT Studio away from home so might make something similar together.
I have a different LG monitor that uses the same stand as the one you showed and after searching for a while I found "super clamps" from a few different brands like Neewer and K&F that expanded wide enough to clamp around the mount which would keep your desk a little cleaner aesthetically.
Omar, this is great! I am looking to build a set up for my office where the webinar speaker can have great sound, background and image. But looking into the camera al much as possible. Also, this studio will be used for recording voice overs and social media videos. Would be great to have options affordable and to more expensive. Thanks!!
Great Idea Omar. Thank you its a winner. My husband is making my desk using a height adjustable frame and timber top. I’m purchasing the light you recommend and the camera mount. Saving up for the screen next ❤️
A nice hack for hand crank desks like that is to mod an attachment to a drill or electric screw driver. That way you insert that and it lifts as that turns. No more shoulder and arm fatigue.
Nice setup I imagine it might work well when I move into my smaller apartment in a few months. This is actually a luxury version for me I used to be a mobile journalist working out of a backpack.
I have been using that desk as my main setup for two years. Taking out the bottom drawer will allow your knees to go under the desk. I noticed you did not show yourself completely pushed into the desk. Also, you can use a a 10mm hex bit with a cheap drill and zip the desk up and down throughout the day.
I love love love that monitor! It keeps going out of stock. It's fantastic for editing photos and videos. And when my bosses saw it, they told me to order 7 more for our company!
Love you showing setups its neat to see. Can you do a setup for IPhone 13/14 filming and ideas for my friend who is wheelchair bound to film steadily. and what gear might work best.
Absolutely love this setup - it's gorgeous and super functional! Do you think the Godox ES45 is enough light for a fairly close green screen? I'm currently using two small LED lights and they work well enough - but I love this setup, and my little lights can't run for too long without overheating.
I don’t need a blurry background shot. I have an M50 with the kit lenses. So I still need to invest an a wide angle lense if I want to capture the whole entire back of my studio?
miss when minimal was somewhat sinonimus of "barebone/cheap". Nowadays I only see minimal expensive AF setups. Maybie a "super low budget" or "true basic" series would be a nice idea, 'cause "budget friendly" has become the same vein of minimal IMO
debating between a cheaper laptop and high more powerful desktop or simply getting a powerful laptop for editing. worried about overheating, throttling and there is price points too.
oh! one more comment about the monitor (between me and the company I work for, we have 8 of these monitors). Don't get this monitor if you have a Mac. macOS doesn't have proper scaling support for the unusual monitor resolution and dimensions. Windows is way more flexible when it comes to displays than macOS.
no kidding. the Surface Pro is my go-to portable machine. I have the Surface Pro 2, Surface Pro 4 (this is the worst one), Surface Pro 2017, Surface Pro 7, and now Surface Pro 8 (wish this had AMD in it). Love them all!
@@onlysublime I actually liked the SP4. It was faster than the 3. I didn't have the 2 or the 2017. I just got the 7 for $300 used and in perfect condition. I will get the 8 when it's way cheaper.
@@SeanDIY the issue I had with sp4 was the Intel skylake processor. It had major power management issues. I kept pulling out a hot machine with a dead battery because it was running in my bag. Skylake was the reason apple dumped Intel and the reason why Microsoft is no longer bleeding edge with processors. Now Microsoft waits until the processor has matured. I had to shut down the machine to prevent battery drain.
Thanks. This was a great idea. I will try it when I'm in a bigger space. I'd love to see a small setup for an apartment. Also what made you use Deity over Rode? Just curious. I've been trying to decide which wireless mic to get. I have the Sony A6500.
Would be great if you gave the full model number for the equipment you mention. Trying to track the exact same item when not in the US can be a task when the links you kindly provide don't always connect to a specific item but a whole range of items! (I'm looking at the LG DualUp Monitor specifically in this situation... oh and the Husky Desk too!) Thanks. Really liked the video by the way!
I have the ZV-e10 and I just started my channel. My first video is now live thanks to YOU GUYS AT THINK MEDIA! One quick question.. when shooting with the zve10, what settings should I use? 4K-30? 4K-24?
Great video, could you tell me if an iPad Pro will be able to fit directly under the monitor with the dual ups stock stand as high as it will go? I’ve measured the iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard and the height of the iPad is 9 inches tall. So what I’m wondering is will the Dual up raise up more then 9 inches off the desk? Thank you for your video
Nice setup there! Small, minimal, yet it still has everything. Also how is it possible to have no glare at omar's glasses? The light source is literally direct at his face and that is the only one i see here.
Did you use the straps alone to hold the power strip to the leg of the table? I would imagine it would eventually slip down or no? Thanks for the great content!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Dell u2720QM 4K it handles video editing great especially Frame by frame editing . Also gaming such as fortnite with 4K quality . It also turn vertically and horizontally. And the price on it is $550. The LG IS $700 . From reviews I’ve seen it has a bit of trouble when it comes to gaming .
that monitor is too small. I've edited on an LG 32" 4K monitor and it's way too cramped. Yes, if your main thing is gaming, the Dell (and the LG) are great options. But if gaming is not the main goal, they're not that great. Turning the monitor vertically doesn't help because the Dell and LG are too skinny at 16:9 (then 9:16 when vertical).
Question of the day 💡Do you like your setup? What would make it better?

I love My set up it it’s literally everything I want. Only way to make it better is having a bigger living space but you gotta work with what you got

Great video! I was wondering if you guys have a setup like this but using Rodecaster Pro 2, iPhone and iPad Pro to stream on Streamyard? Thanks!
I really loved how minimal, sleek and portable this set up looks. Major plus for it being cost effective as well. Job well done

Absolutely fantastic set up. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend. 🥰
Beautifully done! Love the freedom and simplicity of this setup! Awesome video!
I love videos like this. Minimal.. even if I can’t have these equipment, makes me want to mimic this setup with alternatives
🔥
This set up is so slick and clean. Minimized work flow is the way to go!
That setup looks sweet and smooth, I'm loving it...BOSS status!🙏🏿💪🏿🙌🏿
Would be interested in hearing more use cases for the unusual monitor. But absolutely LOVE the desk idea. That's going on my wishlist.
My buddy codes and absolutely loves it. I can imagine it would be good for anyone that does a ton of writing.

This set up is exactly what I need because getting everything put together is the hardest part of filming
I’ve got that exact desk but in black. It’s really a great way to go.
Nice setup

How to minimize the size of video after record from DLS without losing quality..

Hey Omar, how did you get your Macbook Pro to mirror and still had your both screens at full capacity?
Nice!
How simple and basic setup we all needed! excellent loved, would like to make it. let's go to youtube. 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome video Omar 🙌🔥💛
Thank you for sharing your great ideas.
Aww that desk looks amazing, I'm gonna need to look into getting one of those
Oddly beautiful need to see the monitor in the flesh i think looks good but maybe quirky?
You can use a drill bit to crank it fast versus the handle. We have all husky desks in studio
Also if you have harbor freight close by get some magnetic power strips that stick on the legs or under the workbench desktop
🔥🔥🔥

Punch fear in the face, if there is a nose bleed- it will make a great thumbnail.
Would this be best for smartphone content creators as well?

Man, I wish they had that monitor with a higher refresh option. Would feel too laggy going from the 120hz of my laptop to the 60hz of the monitor.
How do you connect the macbook to the screen? HDMI ? If yes, what version of HDMI ? Thanks & Regards
