This makes red gunlancer look like a lot of fun. I used the engraving for early leveling, but as my main with 1 alt and casually playing, I'd like some ways to make this more viable at 1355 to 1370. Pre legendary gear is a threshold that needs more info in the world.
keep lone knight at lvl 1 or 2, max out supercharge asap, ilvl 1370 +3 grudge +3 supercharge and +3 lone knight, if you have a 6/6 stone then try to add master brawler +3, if not then combat readiness +1, preordained argos set
Solid guide! Consider using both bash and shield bash with armor destruction. Shout of hatred - > bash -> surge cannon -> charged stinger is the primary rotation. When surge cannon and charged stinger are on cooldown I use shield bash for 100% defense reduction uptime. This way I don't have a timing conflict when bash is on cooldown and surge cannon and charged stinger are off cooldown when trying to maintain 100% defense reduction uptime. This little trick will slightly increase the overall DPS of the group if your not using bash every time its off cooldown and will slightly increase the gunlancer DPS if your constantly using bash when its off cooldown.
With bash you have already a 100% uptime of the armor dest. The debuff is 10 seconds and the cooldown about 8 with a littebit of swiftness. Rotation has about 27-30 sec. You can put him perfectly in between the cooldowns to keep the debuff up. With the cooldown of 8s you have it always back before the rotation to use it and to gain the atk power. When using both you sacrifice a red skill for a blue for literally nothing. You better wait a moment to get the bash in rotation again than missing out on an other red skill. You still have the Higher crit rate and crit dmg on the red skill, even if you can't get the bash sometimes not in before your rotation you will still do more dmg overall with the red than missing out on one rota with atk power buff. And dont forget, the party part does not matter, the debuff will be up the whole time anyway.
Great guide, my only comment would be that for your engravings section, because you don't specifically mention priority/order of which engravings you want first, a viewer who doesn't know might take it to mean that Grudge and Cursed Doll are the first engravings they should be working for, when it should be the class engraving (Lone Knight) and Super Charge as your priority engravings. Then Grudge comes after that, and then usually Master Brawler after that, as while it does have a positional requirement, Red Gunlancers should be wanting to hit from the front as much as possible anyway, and it offers more damage with less drawback than Cursed Doll, which players usually add on last (besides level 1 Combat Readiness).
Wow these are amazing. I actually made a paladin as a main after seeing your paladin guide a couple months back. It also set me up for major disappointment as it was one of the first class guide I saw and I expected every other class guide videos to be as good. Also, there is a swiftness gunlancer, which is rare but exists in Korea. they go with 4 and 2 relic set (4 for crit attack and 2 for mana refill). I believe it is more viable later than now, since there will be more stat that could be put in crit with necklace and 1 other accessory, but I saw how fun it could be.
I actually don't like "enhanced strike" for fire bullet. On it's own the "incendiary bullet" tripod does more total damage especially since the scaling effect with tripod levels is much higher but of course you can only stack it twice meaning that repeating shots are less useful when you tripod for the burn. Sticking the bleed rune on this skill is also quite fun.
@@BrokDoidao depends on your tripod level and also gem level but I could have sworn the tripod scaling was much better a few patches ago when I ran red build. I wish I had the numbers saved somewhere but I dont. Given the lack of gem scaling for the dot and also the fact that it's not positional (hence no "master brawler" bonus.. not to mention relic set or weakness exposure) I would like to modify my opinion to agree with you =)
what jwels we need to set up for purple gunlancer ??? and what 9/7 stone we need what skills need to make +12 (legendary) engravements can you make a video explaing all that? also what parts of armors we need to take after 1415 +++++

Right now I take 1 swiftness ring at Argos gear level. Trying to play with 400-450 swiftness is awful. Would really like to hear detailed information about Swiftness main stat Red Gunlance that a lot of KR uses. Mainly when you're able to use it, is it time at Vykas or later?
one of the problems with going full swiftness in argos gear is sustaining your MP. I tried it with 1456 swiftness and I was constantly dry within 1 minute of every guardianraid I did, being able to spam fire bullet is of course a factor there.. it doesnt use a whole lot of MP but it adds up fast when I spam it. This was before conviction+judgement runes though but given the 30s internal cooldown of the buffs I'm betting I would need food+partybuffs to help my MP recover with that much swiftness unless I had nightmare set.
@@gs2791 I'm 1475 5x3 with cursed doll and now understand there's pretty much no difference in the builds. It's a minor stat change really. You either run majority crit with cursed doll or majority swiftness (still 1 crit earring) with adrenaline and 2p nightmare. Very similar. There's a really good guide here on RUclips by KR streamer 슈프리야. Personally I run 6 entropy with 2 swift rings with all accessories being 90+ quality (1249 crit/921 swift) and I'm loving it. I prefer this because I want to run CGL over fire bullet and you really can't run adrenaline without fire bullet.
Hi Fox, do you know if picking tripod "Confirmed Attack" over "overcharge" on surge cannon does reduce the stagger significantly? I'm not doing it anymore, but on Tier2 (when eu ppl just played without knowing game mechs) I switched the named tripod on bosses with stagger checks, because i thought i could squeeze more stagger attacks in the same time.
I'm unsure how that tripod affects the stagger to be honest, it's probably the same I would say. Reason why we don't use it is because supercharge doesn't affect it!
For Earth's Entropy + Master Brawler to be worth it, u need to be hitting front attacks at least 70% of the time. I struggle to find players hitting 70% or more of their surge cannon + charged stinger in the boss's head without holding onto skills for a long time waiting for the right window etc. Thus why shouldn't u just drop master brawler for Keen Blunt and run nightmare or salvation? This way u have no penalty from missing a head attack besides the base head attack modifier. MOST of the boss's most devastating mechs are infront of him so the boss would literally need to be knocked down or afk for u to hit it's head, the only other way is if u tank through the mech dmg using ur shield but ironically red gunlancer's shield is pitiful and not designed to be tanking mechs with unless u are somewhat over geared. If u miss a head attack using master brawler + entropy set, u might as well not have even hit the boss and held onto the skill.
@@mygixbkwik yes but if u don’t hit the head then ur master brawler and entropy is reduced to basically 0 and 33%, if u use a non back attack set and u hit the head u still get the head attack modifier but if u miss the head, no other penalty besides the innate 20%
actually i use the most part of my shield to tank the front dmg from time to time, bcus iknow i can so get the front dmg in. Red is to tank for your own dmg. Most of the time i have shield left from that but it requires you to know when you can an when not. Also, it sounds stupid, but this way you have to do even more mechanics than other clases. I have to predict every shit and use shield only in emergencies. Like with vykas g3 when she does the 270° aoe, i tank with shield and pump all my dmg in - i stay - jump to her otherside when she maybe does the 180° to maybe make a countergunlance or i jump after to do some front dmg with other abilities. If you dont get enought shield to keep that up you can use a stimulant before the raid to fill your meter to have some spare which i never had to.
I might seem fun at first, but if you are seeking fot just burst damage, dont go for red, its burst dmgs nowhere near t1 classes and requires set up and head attack, there are more satisfying and easier classes. However, if you really insist, go head.

Until you get the relic set earth entropy, blue seems like a better variant. Red is more fun though

No it doesnt. The damage increase of Incendiary Bullet is negligible when you deal 400k damage every Fire Bullet you use lmao, are you smoking?

Why not run barricade for purple gunlance? Ur burst is done after ur shout of hate taunt so ur always shielded while ur bursting
You still deal some dps outside the burst so it's not efficient & you'd have to sacrifice a better engraving

What does it mean with "lone knight' when it says battlefield shield cannot be used? is that the shields we get from supports? do they have no effect?
battlefield shield is the x skill
You got a specializty skill that you never really use. You jump to a target and tank their damage with your shield.

You need 2p nightmare then it's almost as good as full crit but prob the same since its so consistent compared to low swift

No but stacking critdmg% is less efficient than getting straight up normal %dmg. the more critdmg% you stack the less efficient compared to normal %
