You are forgetting Gohan became stronger fighting in the tournament of power without getting mad. Piccolo said Gohan became stronger fighting with Kefla. In other words...Gohan gets stronger fighting and he also gets power boost with his emotions.
@@dylanclark8856 that is true but going off of the manga, look at when the oracle fish mentions that soon the strongest in the universe would show up, that part of the manga when the oracle fish made that statement took place after the broly movie and after broly in the manga, so its either frieza or gohan or someone they have not introduced yet that is the strongest.
Im still putting money on Gohan going right back to focusing on his studies after Super Hero. I really dont believe Toriyama has any plans on keeping Gohan in the spotlight after learning he originally had little to no plans for Gohan in Super Hero until the last minute.
Honestly, I don't like modern Gohan. He's so boring now, all he does is do the same thing over and over again. I don't mind him wanting to be a family man, but we have to do something new with him besides the same. Slack off, train, slack off, train, slack off, train thing he does.
I think Gohan's own adaptability should also be factored in. Gohan doesn't adapt as quick as Broly but he does adapt and grow stronger faster than the other saiyans apart from Broly. Super was questionable but it did set a precedent for Gohan going from a chump to matching Goku Blue in a few days. Gohan's rage vs Broly also seems to release different. Broly rampages, Gohan explodes.
Personally I think people overhype the "Cell Max weak spot". It was fail safe absolutely but it wasnt a "weak" spot bc Piccolo hit it and it did nothing. Gohan still would've DESTROYED Cell Max regardless which is why they showed that brief fight. You had to be strong enough to do it.

This is why I miss the day of actually having legit power level readings. I wish they could have kept things in scope with power levels instead of just throwing it out there and making everyone guess how strong fighters are.
Power levels made no difference. You could still never accurately gauge who was going to win a fight. Krilin went from weaker than suppressed Goku at the start of Z, to one shotting 3 Saibamen after one year of training. Vegeta climbed from 20k when he arrived in Namek to 1 million plus a week or so later. You had a number, that ultimately meant nothing cause next time you saw a character fight that number could have increased 10x, 20x, or even 50×.
To me, the winner between Gohan Beast vs Broly depends on what arc you scale Beast Gohan to. In earlier arcs post DBS: Broly, I don't think the gap between them was that massive even though Gohan is likely the stronger of the two, and Broly could adapt and overpower him. However, scaling Gohan Beast to Goku and Vegeta in the Granolah arc makes it pretty clear that he would be so far above Broly that Broly wouldn't have the chance to adapt and overpower Gohan.

Gohan wins this. Gohan has never been one to run from a fight and he’s easily top 5 smartest in dragon ball. On top of that gohan would only get stronger as he fights as well because of his potential. Gohan’s potential is just so crazy cause he’s a hybrid, it would be close but gohan wins.
1. Gohan hasn't had an "arrogance problem" since Super Boo, which was addressed when Piccolo trained him for the ToP. He wasn't arrogant at any point during the ToP and finishes Cell Max pretty quickly as well. 2. Gohan not being 100% on training and focusing more on studies isn't arrogance, it's differing priorities. Even then , Gohan still learned because we see that he still had been training, just not as much as he "should". 3. The major assumption here is that Broly would start anywhere near the power he had at the end of the movie when we have no way of knowing at what level he'd start at, nor do we know if he could handle Gohan Beast that early on if we assume Broly reacts similarly from the movie. 4. Another assumption is that Broly can power up indefinitely within a fight, but we know this isn't true because he couldn't keep up with Gogeta. Everyone has a limit, even Broly. Ultimately, if this is Broly from the movie, Gohan has it because his power is much greater and he isn't going to be arrogant about it. If this is Broly as of SH, it's impossible to tell because we don't know to what extent Broly has improved, but I'd say the edge still goes to Gohan given his superior technique and ability to be rational during a fight.

If Cell Max was completed, then he'd surpass Broly, meaning Broly is either at the same level as Cell Max or slightly stronger. What Cell Max did against Beast Gohan wouldn't be much different than if that was Broly going against Gohan.
@righteousone5119 that's not what toriyama stated. Toriyama stated if cell max was completed not even broly could defeat him. If you say if such and such was to be that strong not even (insert name) wouldn't even be able to defeat him means in this instance "broly" is the best chance out of our heroes at defeating a perfect cell max. Toriyama was using universe 7s strongest warrior as a measuring stick against a hypothetical threat if it wasn't the case he would have just said gohan. Furthermore if he was completed Gohan would get demolished. And arguably nothing short of gogeta or vegito would beat him.
Gohan has shown from his fight with Cell and Buu, that he can fight in a calm raged state. When he was fighting Cell he was angry but calm. It's like when young Charles Xavier told told young Magneto in that movie, Gohan seems to find that sweet spot right between rage and serenity. We also saw that when he fought Bojack. I know that's not considered "canon" but it's very consistent with the other examples I gave, as well as Beast Gohan. His rage pushes him to higher levels, but in that rage, he yet has a sense of calm (initially). However, Gohan typically needs something to fight for in order to "slip". It could be something as simple as not wanting to fail in front of Goku and Vegeta, but he gets better if someone is there to be his "why." And that need for a "why" as fuel I think comes from his human side. As humans we often need a "why" while saiyans simply want to be stronger because it's their nature.

Beast gohan is like gohan gaining control of that rage transformation when he went ssj2 against cell as a kid but with his potential unleashed state and his current level of power. I give it to Gohan based on strength and control. I think Broly has SLIGHTLY more potential than Gohan based on the RATE he grew MIDFIGHT. But I feel like that is only because that was the first time he's ever been pushed. I do agree that Gohan should not play games because of Brolys potential.

My vote for Gohan. Gohan is not just hybrid saiyan, I think he have some mutant DNA in body. Why he not looks same as Broly is because hybrid, his DNA is very mixed.

I’m not sure why it wasn’t mentioned in the video here..maybe because it’s the manga? But in the manga, Gohan fought Kefla and gained a MASSIVE and QUICK power up vs her in a very Broly-like fashion (in terms of the power and speed of the power up). Since Beast Gohan is in the manga, I kinda feel like that should be discussed and factored in Super Hero, too. Gohan was weak at the start of the movie but rage alone made him not only catch back up super quick, but also surpass his limits massively with a new transformation. Gohan in Super gets stronger extremely quick, too. It’s not just Broly anymore.
Nah that guy was spitting absolute BS. Gohan absolutely stomps. Cell max may be weaker than broly but it can't be by that much and Gohan was able to tank a punch from cell max and two shot him. Brolys power gets stronger than more he fights, but it proves to have somewhat of a limit as shown against gogeta blue. So Gohan would absolutely dominate and overwhelm broly before he can get strong enough to do anything about it.
I hope they don’t for any reason make Gohan a moron going forwards and actually make it so he has learnt from his previous mistakes, he slagged off vs Buu and then he didnt take his training seriously after that as well. If Gohan truly takes in his own mistakes and adapts he is by far going to be the strongest even Vegeta knows Gohan has clearly the most latent potential. It'd be Gohan's fight to lose. Prioritizing victory, he wins. Whether he can do that depends on whether the writers are finally ready to deal with an actually matured Gohan instead of continuing the same trope.
Yeah no way bro. Broly is bassically just a ssj right now. If he is starting out in full power he already has a massive advantage over the version of himself seen in the broly movie. As the fight goes on he with how fast he gains power he would probably at least go ssj2 in the fight. Plus he can honestly probably handle ssj3 with his unique body and maybe even reach forms beyond 3 that aren't god forms.
DBS has gotten so many characters up-to-speed or introduced so many new powerful fighters that this Gohan vs. Broly debate could easily be who's actually "The Strongest In The Universe". What makes this too hard for me to decide is that you know Broly has been training with Goku and Vegeta. If that weren't the case, I'd give Gohan the edge. But since the manga showed what we all suspected, Idk who would win. 'Quick question, too: Are Goku, Vegeta, AND Granolah basically equal? It seemed like it. Goku was the Technique, Vegeta was the Power, and Granolah was the Experience vs Gas.
@zerox6615 By experience, I mean Granolah spent the most time traveling throughout space and facing situations that required him to think out of the box, giving him the wider variety of attacks and the abilities to outsmart Goku, Vegeta, and even Gas. He out-right beat them all with his tactics. As a cosmic assassin, never having true peace, Granolah definitely spent more time in the trenches. He struggled for most of his life.
A fight between Gohan Beast and Broly would definitely be an interesting fight, since both have incredible power and potential. I honestly think that Broly has more power and potential than Gohan, but Gohan Beast has the power and skill to fight and potentially defeat Broly. If the fight goes on too long, Broly is most likely to win against Broly, if just barely.
My question is how come Gohan is the last earth born Saiyan that had a tail and does it have anything to do with the moon being destroyed by piccolo? Does this have any effect on his potential as Vegeta only ever mentions Gohan's growth potential...
@@josephmills9205Broly does have more potential. Broly went from Namek Saga levels to stronger than 2 SSJBs with his regular SSJ form. Gohan cannot compete with Broly in potential, but his Beast form does defeat Broly as Cell Max and Broly are near in power as stated and yet to be debunked by other statements or the series itself.
Geekdom is pretty solid with what he says, but some of his guests are like very one sided when it comes to Person A vs Person B. At the end of the day it's in the hands of Akira Toriyama on who is what. On a side note, it's probably up to the fan base because that is where the money is. People wanted to see that old ssj2 Gohan, so we got Beast. Same goes for the Piccolo power up. I am a day one Gohan fan from the moment I saw him in the Saiyan saga. As Geekdom said "Gohan fans are eating good right now."
I know manga doesn't count here but I think all of the characters reach plateau's. You would think with all of the training Broly should be way beyond Vegeta and Goku but it doesn't appear to be that way. I think it could go either way adding in that they are fighting for their lives.
It was stated like that a few times before the Tournament of Power, but Vegeta's speech to Belmod that in the tournament alone, the saiyens far surpassed what they thought were capable.
I know there's Ultra Instinct but do people remember Gogeta felt it safest to go Blue, the strongest the MERGED fighter could go, to realistically take Broly down quickly. That means Gogeta had a thought that if he doesn't finish him he could surpass Gogeta Blue. Based on the lore Broly's power can freakishly just grow and grow and grow and grow and grow and grow. It all depends.
It took blue Gogeta to beat Broly and he essentially had no training, nothing that was worth a damn anyway The way I see it, Broly's potential is near Goku's changed state, shit's infinite. And Gohan isn't anywhere near that
1. Heterosis (hybrid vigor) gives Gohan his edge 1a. Not all outcrosses result in heterosis (Goten, Trunks, Bra, Pan) 2. Gohan stalemated a fused character in Kefla regardless if that fusion was weakened so Gohan could get stronger during the fight as well. 3. Gohan likes martial arts as a contest but not constant life or death struggles, so as long as the rules are contest like Gohan will go all out
The difference between gohan and broly is Broly just spews out energy without fatigue. That is a huge advantage, on top of that Broly has immense physical endurance. Here is something to point out as well, gohan had help to beat CMax
He had help but realistically he didn't need it. When he turned beast there was no real struggle , he even flicked off an attack head on. I feel like the only reason they made him have help is because Gohan has a tendency to fuck around when he gets a new power up.
He didn't need that help. He was laughing his ass off while one shotting max and forcing him to go all out. He just seemed ready to end things with or without Piccolo. It's very very obvious that Beast Gohan in no way needed Piccolo's help, it's that Piccolo already set out for himself to beat Cell anyways, we see he was fighting Cell on his own and putting in his own efforts regardless of if it was necessary, he was determined to put down Cell for good.

Broly will over power Gohan and beat him to a pulp if the fight stretches..but then he will have flash backs of Piccolo yelling him to quit being cocky and focus..and we saw time and again what Gohan can do when he truly focuses. Plus Toriyama did also mentioned Gohan has a final transformation left..
In super hero Gohan was about to commit the same mistake he did in cell saga being to overconfident and sadistic towards someone weaker than him because we saw that sadistic smile of his after he kicked cell max but piccolo snap him out of it and then proceed to eliminate cell max unlike in the cell or buu saga where he just ignores piccolo's advice. Gohan learned his lesson but he needs piccolo to always remind him to not fool around and finish the job.
Problem is that broly stopped growing in the fight vs gogeta so it'd not like broly grows infinitly. Gohan is also smarter and gohans rage brings him to new levels aswell who's to say gohan doesn't transform again or who's to say he even needs too. Gammas were stated to be on par with goku ect which we can assume is ssb because ult Gohan was fairly even fighting gamma one. Both gamma one and two didn't match up with cell max similar to how goku and vegeta couldn't match up to broly so it's fairly safe to assume that gohan starts off stronger and like I said previously broly stops growing once he's hit his peak. With training it's possible broly surpassed gohan
I think if Gohan Beast takes out Broly as fast as possible he could win... But if his arrogance takes over and the fight drags out Broly will surpass him. On the other hand, Wen Gohan sees the distraction that Broly is doing n the thought of the world and his family and friends being destroyed will be enough for a Zenkai boost for him to Win...

Love your passion for Dragonball bro Three points I want to say.. 1- Gohan has been arrogant in the past but he showed he's changed by getting rid of Cell Max relatively quick. 2- Gohan was a kid and surpassed Broly In the Cell saga so imagine if he took his training serious 3- in the new super hero movie Goku said to Broly you still don't have complete control of your energy, Broly observed Goku and Vegeta fighting In base form and literally cried because he was impressed (keep in mind Its been a few years since Tournament of power and some time after Broly movie, which implies Goku and Vegeta have progressed further more beyond to the point where Broly is a spectator)...it's true you can have early growth spurts and power ups but you also need intelligent, fighting IQ., and it seems like in super hero Despite the extra time Broly hasn't seemed to improve that much based on the perception of super hero.. but we all know Goku and Vegeta have improved.. And in the Manga Gohan continues to improve..so based on this I believe Gohan still has the most potential.. Remember..even as a kid he was stronger than Broly..adult Broly who struggled with SS Vegeta.
I really think Gohan is the hybrid legendary saiyan. First saiyan hybrid, first saiyan to get his ki released by both kai and namekian elder. He has increased powers through rage also.

Did people forget that in Dbs anime with Gohan training, piccolo already talked about how Gohan can play around and get cocky which is why he got absorbed by super Buu? Like that was his main focus on training with piccolo. Gohan is not cocky anymore and what he did in the t.o.p shows that. I feel like that's the argument people don't bring up.

If u pointed both water pressures at eachother , which one would get to the base of the other first ?would the pressure cutter be able to go through the center of the fire hose first and reach the base , or will the fire hose be too much water and manage to get to the pressure cutter first?
Gohan did deserve the beast form. He'd been working towards a new form that isn't a saiyan form ever since the T.O.P, and that's what Beast is. Saying Gohan didn't deserve Beast is like saying Goku didn't deserve UI because it was an "asspull."
8:03 this is very important line to use, in All of dragon ball we know one thing for sure, Vegeta is eager to kill, but he lacks the playfulness required to compete relaxed, Goku plays too much and struggle to deliver fatal blows, but Gohan has always been the cat that plays with the rat just to eat them. 😅 he will not hesitate to end Broly if an opening appears .
If Gohan didn't learn his lesson about slacking off after Boo, he isn't gonna break that habit. With Broly training with Goku and Vegeta, he's slap Gohan around in no time
I am not sure I agree with the notion a longer fight favours Broly. The Broly movie showed us that while he like any saiyan has infinite potential, he doesn't grow indefinitely w/o external triggers at certain points. He very clearly hit a wall 3 times during the movie - 1st against Vegeta in base, 2nd against Goku in Ikari and 3rd against Gogeta in FPS. Same for Gohan. OTOH, Gohan defeated the version of Cell Max who was weaker than Broly (the end of Broly movie probably) and we don't know how easily he would've defeated a completed Cell Max to definitively say he would have the upper hand on Broly and we really can't quantify the improvement Broly got by training with Goku on Beerus' planet. So I think we cannot make a definitive argument either way and it probably boils down to attrition in the end since I think both are in around the same ball park in terms of power. And in that, who is the better fighter between the two? I cannot say for sure who is more skilled in martial arts. May be Gohan coz he has trained for longer but he is not anywhere near Vegeta let alone Goku in terms of fighting skills and Broly just started training in actual martial arts. So its touch and go imo coz I can't really pick the more skilled fighter between Gohan and Broly.

I think Gohan's own adaptability should also be factored in. Gohan doesn't adapt as quick as Broly but he does adapt and grow stronger faster than the other saiyans apart from Broly. Super was questionable but it did set a precedent for Gohan going from a chump to matching Goku Blue in a few days.

Power levels made no difference. You could still never accurately gauge who was going to win a fight.
Krilin went from weaker than suppressed Goku at the start of Z, to one shotting 3 Saibamen after one year of training.
Vegeta climbed from 20k when he arrived in Namek to 1 million plus a week or so later.
You had a number, that ultimately meant nothing cause next time you saw a character fight that number could have increased 10x, 20x, or even 50×.
To me, the winner between Gohan Beast vs Broly depends on what arc you scale Beast Gohan to. In earlier arcs post DBS: Broly, I don't think the gap between them was that massive even though Gohan is likely the stronger of the two, and Broly could adapt and overpower him. However, scaling Gohan Beast to Goku and Vegeta in the Granolah arc makes it pretty clear that he would be so far above Broly that Broly wouldn't have the chance to adapt and overpower Gohan.

Gohan wins this. Gohan has never been one to run from a fight and he’s easily top 5 smartest in dragon ball. On top of that gohan would only get stronger as he fights as well because of his potential. Gohan’s potential is just so crazy cause he’s a hybrid, it would be close but gohan wins.
1. Gohan hasn't had an "arrogance problem" since Super Boo, which was addressed when Piccolo trained him for the ToP. He wasn't arrogant at any point during the ToP and finishes Cell Max pretty quickly as well.
2. Gohan not being 100% on training and focusing more on studies isn't arrogance, it's differing priorities. Even then , Gohan still learned because we see that he still had been training, just not as much as he "should".
3. The major assumption here is that Broly would start anywhere near the power he had at the end of the movie when we have no way of knowing at what level he'd start at, nor do we know if he could handle Gohan Beast that early on if we assume Broly reacts similarly from the movie.
4. Another assumption is that Broly can power up indefinitely within a fight, but we know this isn't true because he couldn't keep up with Gogeta. Everyone has a limit, even Broly.
Ultimately, if this is Broly from the movie, Gohan has it because his power is much greater and he isn't going to be arrogant about it. If this is Broly as of SH, it's impossible to tell because we don't know to what extent Broly has improved, but I'd say the edge still goes to Gohan given his superior technique and ability to be rational during a fight.

Gohan has shown from his fight with Cell and Buu, that he can fight in a calm raged state. When he was fighting Cell he was angry but calm. It's like when young Charles Xavier told told young Magneto in that movie, Gohan seems to find that sweet spot right between rage and serenity. We also saw that when he fought Bojack. I know that's not considered "canon" but it's very consistent with the other examples I gave, as well as Beast Gohan. His rage pushes him to higher levels, but in that rage, he yet has a sense of calm (initially).
However, Gohan typically needs something to fight for in order to "slip". It could be something as simple as not wanting to fail in front of Goku and Vegeta, but he gets better if someone is there to be his "why." And that need for a "why" as fuel I think comes from his human side. As humans we often need a "why" while saiyans simply want to be stronger because it's their nature.
It's so weird that anyone thinks Gohan would win against anyone who isn't a version of Cell.

If Gohan truly takes in his own mistakes and adapts he is by far going to be the strongest even Vegeta knows Gohan has clearly the most latent potential. Gohan should win this fight vs Broly, barely seen even an ounce of Beast, once Gohan masters beast its going to be very hard to beat him if hes actually fighting to win and not to fuck around.

A fight between Gohan Beast and Broly would definitely be an interesting fight, since both have incredible power and potential. I honestly think that Broly has more power and potential than Gohan, but Gohan Beast has the power and skill to fight and potentially defeat Broly. If the fight goes on too long, Broly is most likely to win against Broly, if just barely.
Gohan had to concentrate to hit that Cell. Broly wouldn't let him charge his energy and he doesn't have a big weak point on his head.

Geekdom is pretty solid with what he says, but some of his guests are like very one sided when it comes to Person A vs Person B. At the end of the day it's in the hands of Akira Toriyama on who is what. On a side note, it's probably up to the fan base because that is where the money is. People wanted to see that old ssj2 Gohan, so we got Beast. Same goes for the Piccolo power up. I am a day one Gohan fan from the moment I saw him in the Saiyan saga. As Geekdom said "Gohan fans are eating good right now."
I know manga doesn't count here but I think all of the characters reach plateau's. You would think with all of the training Broly should be way beyond Vegeta and Goku but it doesn't appear to be that way. I think it could go either way adding in that they are fighting for their lives.
It was stated like that a few times before the Tournament of Power, but Vegeta's speech to Belmod that in the tournament alone, the saiyens far surpassed what they thought were capable.
I know there's Ultra Instinct but do people remember Gogeta felt it safest to go Blue, the strongest the MERGED fighter could go, to realistically take Broly down quickly. That means Gogeta had a thought that if he doesn't finish him he could surpass Gogeta Blue. Based on the lore Broly's power can freakishly just grow and grow and grow and grow and grow and grow. It all depends.
It took blue Gogeta to beat Broly and he essentially had no training, nothing that was worth a damn anyway
The way I see it, Broly's potential is near Goku's changed state, shit's infinite. And Gohan isn't anywhere near that
1. Heterosis (hybrid vigor) gives Gohan his edge
1a. Not all outcrosses result in heterosis (Goten, Trunks, Bra, Pan)
2. Gohan stalemated a fused character in Kefla regardless if that fusion was weakened so Gohan could get stronger during the fight as well.
3. Gohan likes martial arts as a contest but not constant life or death struggles, so as long as the rules are contest like Gohan will go all out
The difference between gohan and broly is Broly just spews out energy without fatigue. That is a huge advantage, on top of that Broly has immense physical endurance.
Here is something to point out as well, gohan had help to beat CMax
He had help but realistically he didn't need it. When he turned beast there was no real struggle , he even flicked off an attack head on. I feel like the only reason they made him have help is because Gohan has a tendency to fuck around when he gets a new power up.
He didn't need that help. He was laughing his ass off while one shotting max and forcing him to go all out. He just seemed ready to end things with or without Piccolo. It's very very obvious that Beast Gohan in no way needed Piccolo's help, it's that Piccolo already set out for himself to beat Cell anyways, we see he was fighting Cell on his own and putting in his own efforts regardless of if it was necessary, he was determined to put down Cell for good.

In super hero Gohan was about to commit the same mistake he did in cell saga being to overconfident and sadistic towards someone weaker than him because we saw that sadistic smile of his after he kicked cell max but piccolo snap him out of it and then proceed to eliminate cell max unlike in the cell or buu saga where he just ignores piccolo's advice.
Gohan learned his lesson but he needs piccolo to always remind him to not fool around and finish the job.

Problem is that broly stopped growing in the fight vs gogeta so it'd not like broly grows infinitly. Gohan is also smarter and gohans rage brings him to new levels aswell who's to say gohan doesn't transform again or who's to say he even needs too. Gammas were stated to be on par with goku ect which we can assume is ssb because ult Gohan was fairly even fighting gamma one. Both gamma one and two didn't match up with cell max similar to how goku and vegeta couldn't match up to broly so it's fairly safe to assume that gohan starts off stronger and like I said previously broly stops growing once he's hit his peak. Geekdom is gonna have to remake this video with the latest chapter that dropped lol cuz Broly looks to stalemate with beast and he controls his form, he took gohans method just by hearing how it worked and applied it instantly, also gohan beast really did get scaled to perspective when he fought goku they about about the same caliber .

Three points I want to say..
1- Gohan has been arrogant in the past but he showed he's changed by getting rid of Cell Max relatively quick.
2- Gohan was a kid and surpassed Broly In the Cell saga so imagine if he took his training serious
3- in the new super hero movie Goku said to Broly you still don't have complete control of your energy, Broly observed Goku and Vegeta fighting In base form and literally cried because he was impressed (keep in mind Its been a few years since Tournament of power and some time after Broly movie, which implies Goku and Vegeta have progressed further more beyond to the point where Broly is a spectator)...it's true you can have early growth spurts and power ups but you also need intelligent, fighting IQ., and it seems like in super hero Despite the extra time Broly hasn't seemed to improve that much based on the perception of super hero.. but we all know Goku and Vegeta have improved.. And in the Manga Gohan continues to improve..so based on this I believe Gohan still has the most potential.. Remember..even as a kid he was stronger than Broly..adult Broly who struggled with SS Vegeta.
I hate how that brought in future trunks but don’t talk about how he has the same potential as gohan being a hybrid sayian
I really think Gohan is the hybrid legendary saiyan. First saiyan hybrid, first saiyan to get his ki released by both kai and namekian elder. He has increased powers through rage also.
Couldn't gohan do a rage mode boost ss2 or something similar
It's a really hard comparison, IMO i think we didn't really see enough from gohan beast that we can say he's stronger than someone like broly but judging by what we saw in the movie i think gohan might has the upper hand but it's still an early comparison to make ✋

Broly wins vs Gohan ... when Toriyama compared A Complete Perfect Cell Max to Broly , that means Broly is the STRONGEST and Broly's Adaptability will frustrate Gohan like Vegeta & will Gohan will get beat . Broly vs Black Frieza is probably a better fight

Did people forget that in Dbs anime with Gohan training, piccolo already talked about how Gohan can play around and get cocky which is why he got absorbed by super Buu? Like that was his main focus on training with piccolo. Gohan is not cocky anymore and what he did in the t.o.p shows that. I feel like that's the argument people don't bring up.
that's put there by fans who work for toei, it was trunks and goten who fused then got absorbed.
That's probably because SH forgot about that too since Piccolo had to tell Gohan to hurry up and Finish Cell because he was epic posing.

If Gohan doesn't pummel Broly in an all-out rush like SSB Gogeta did toward the end of the Broly movie, or he somehow can't and the fight drags on, then maybe Broly can exceed his "legendary" form to match Gohan. However, Broly hadn't gotten any stronger when Gogeta first went Blue and concealed his strength so as to maintain the upper hand while toying with Broly, and in that time, however long it was, Broly hadn't gotten noticeably stronger to change the tide of the fight. That said, I'm not inclined to believe Broly would exceed his maximum strength and match Gohan during their fight.

Think of gohan like a compressed water pressure cutter , and broly a pressurized fire hose
If u pointed both water pressures at eachother , which one would get to the base of the other first ?would the pressure cutter be able to go through the center of the fire hose first and reach the base , or will the fire hose be too much water and manage to get to the pressure cutter first?

Gohan did deserve the beast form. He'd been working towards a new form that isn't a saiyan form ever since the T.O.P, and that's what Beast is. Saying Gohan didn't deserve Beast is like saying Goku didn't deserve UI because it was an "asspull."

8:03 this is very important line to use, in All of dragon ball we know one thing for sure, Vegeta is eager to kill, but he lacks the playfulness required to compete relaxed, Goku plays too much and struggle to deliver fatal blows, but Gohan has always been the cat that plays with the rat just to eat them. 😅 he will not hesitate to end Broly if an opening appears .
Them saying "Not even Broly could defeat Perfect Cell" Is an indicator that Broly is still that pinnacle of Power.
If Gohan didn't learn his lesson about slacking off after Boo, he isn't gonna break that habit. With Broly training with Goku and Vegeta, he's slap Gohan around in no time

I am not sure I agree with the notion a longer fight favours Broly. The Broly movie showed us that while he like any saiyan has infinite potential, he doesn't grow indefinitely w/o external triggers at certain points. He very clearly hit a wall 3 times during the movie - 1st against Vegeta in base, 2nd against Goku in Ikari and 3rd against Gogeta in FPS. Same for Gohan. OTOH, Gohan defeated the version of Cell Max who was weaker than Broly (the end of Broly movie probably) and we don't know how easily he would've defeated a completed Cell Max to definitively say he would have the upper hand on Broly and we really can't quantify the improvement Broly got by training with Goku on Beerus' planet. So I think we cannot make a definitive argument either way and it probably boils down to attrition in the end since I think both are in around the same ball park in terms of power. And in that, who is the better fighter between the two? I cannot say for sure who is more skilled in martial arts. May be Gohan coz he has trained for longer but he is not anywhere near Vegeta let alone Goku in terms of fighting skills and Broly just started training in actual martial arts. So its touch and go imo coz I can't really pick the more skilled fighter between Gohan and Broly.
Broly wouldn't be able to touch him gohan beast is a fusion within itself between his saiyan form and his unlocked potential human form

Right now I would lean a bit more towards Beast Gohan because has more control. But Broly has more control over his powers, than I can see him overwhelming Gohan.
