@vernon padilla 1927 - Not the "original" but earliest recording. Song was traditional melody with versions in Turkish, Arabic, Hebrew, Greek, Armenian. Most likely Arabic or Turkish origin but no one knows for sure.
This is a very sexy song and dance so think twice before ordering it for your funeral, you might come back to life!~

Just wonderful, that version of 'Misirlou' (composed in 1927) talk deeply in my Soul...
Composed way before 1927! 1927 was first recording, but was well known in many different countries, before 1900: Turkey, Syria, Egypt, North Africa, Eastern Europe, Armenia, Persia etc.
