Good job, does it work for winter river steelhead too?

Thanks Marcus, really great looking fly. The barring on the teal really seals the deal.

Nice tie Marcus, appreciate the swim tank segment at the end. We all want to know how they'll swim! Simple components, good movement,...winner!

    Hi Mark,
I just started tying steelhead flies. I like the traditional way very much. So is this fly. I'd like to tie this one up. I have a question about this fly. The saddle hackles you use lie flat on the fly or the flat side is flush with the hook shank. I can't really judge this on the video. Thank you for your response. Ton Cremers from the Netherlands.

Hi Ton. Keith here, I don't think it really matters but if it was me tying it I'd put the flat side flush to the shank. It helps the hackle stand up a bit more.
