  • Marcus ties up an awesome little Trout Spey pattern - not quite an intruder, not quite a bugger. Find all the materials on our website!

Ringneck pheasant has been an absolute go-to material for my Trout Spey tying. I have also been a huge fan of the Whiting Coq de Leon soft hackle for applications like a collar on a smaller / medium Trout Spey fly.

I would call it an intruder just because of the two stations. What do you think? I think I’ll be tying some tomorrow.

Yes! This is in the Intruder style of fly design.

I like the simplicity of this fly. It looks to have great movement that should really attract fish. What craft store did you get the small rubber tubing used for the hook connection ? I tie a large variety of flies/intruders & I would love to find that tubing. Thank you, David M. Clunk, Fisher-of-Men Fly Tying & Fly Fishing Instruction, Ada, Michigan

Thanks for the question! This is the magnet we like for holding materials.

Thank you for the answer, but I meant the red magnet that we see in this video. Thanks again for the answer@@ashlandflyshop770
