Agreed. Had they stayed the course in building up the talent who knows where impact could’ve gone. Bucks, AJ, joe, angle, sting, lethal, daniels….. the list goes on and they had a nice balance of veterans and young talent.
booker was insane in tna. He would constantly go between his fake British accent and i think at one point blended it with a fake Nigerian accent and his normal voice. He was at peak insanity
The MEM was so awesome. The way it was written, the way it was produced, the great acting. Perc Angle was the GOAT! Some of the best character work from Sting, Angle, and Nash.
The Main Event Mafia was arguably one of the most unique ideas for a faction ever. They took all the best ideas from our favorite factions and set themselves apart.
Even though 2006-2009 was a dark time for Kurt I really think this faction saved his career bc not only could he still go in the ring like a machine but he was able to recreate his character in such a cool way we wanted to see him healthy or not
Classic. Everybody played their roles perfect. Some of the best mic work for everyone. Black Snow was hilarious on commentary. The promo with Kurt on Christian going to WWE was top notch.

Do you watch OSW Review? Thats why Impact uploaded this. OSW is doing a story line arc on Main Event Mafia and Impact is capitalizing on the momentum of the series OSW is doing.
This was basically a modern day version of New Blood, similar storyline in WCW in which younger guys were put together on war with older guys. Not suprisingly, Sting, Nash, Booker T and Steiner were all involved heavily in both storylines. However the roles were reversed this time. In WCW, older guys were pushed as faces, while younger guys were pushed as heels. Many saw this as the reason that New Blood storyline was not working out, as it turned audience against the younger guys, including Booker T and Steiner who were members of New Blood, and they cheered for older guys. This time they did the right thing by making older guys heels in war against younger guys. And it totally worked out.
9:54 in this short moment when Booker made the chicken reference I saw Joe try hard not to laugh and Sting put his head down trying as hard as he could not laugh 😂😂😂
I haven't seen that clip since it first happened so I completely forgot he said "RESPECT" that many times 🤣🤣 after the first time he said it I thought he was done, but he said it again and again 😂😂 had me crying bruh 😭😭 Booker T with the african accent was pure gold 💯
I don’t know if people realize just how many stars this stable of the Main Event Mafia elevated. AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, The MCMG, etc. all benefited so greatly from working with and being rivals with these guys
All these guys had won Championships in various Professional Wrestling Promotions before they met The Main Event Mafia. They may have been young, but they were not inexperienced. Still, it is nice to look back at so many Wrestlers that I now see retired or working for WWE, AEW, NJPW, ROH, Impact Wrestling and other Professional Wrestling Promotions.

also loved that Kevin said: Respect Sharmell! at 1:02:52, really lovely move of him for the Beauty Queen, so I was really disappointed he brought a Thing like Morasca into the Mafia after those words...
