The funeral segment is absolute gold. Joe eating something, Eric crying, Magnus just on his phone, Anderson out of the coffin. Even teasing Angle on his sobriety. Perfect.
The Aces & Eights give me so much nostalgia. I loved this faction as a kid. A motorcycle gang taking over TNA was a fun concept. Wish it was executed better and that the group had more star power but I enjoyed them. Bully Ray was superb in this story.
I also loved that faction. I do aint understand people that previously spit on it and then love it nowadays. By the way Bully Ray as heel way too underrated. He deserved more reigns as World Champion, he fits with perfection the TNA main event

Just realized that the clubhouse scene with Hogan and Sting with their backs and Joseph Parks, the voice was Eric Bischoff. It could have been a great storyline if it added Eric with it.
I think that may have been the intent but fans figured it out so they changed it. If it was Bully Ray all along, it would have made more sense to win the title at Bound for Glory through the Bound for Glory series, not 5 months later at a lesser PPV.
This storyline was cinema in its phenomenal form yet To know Bully Ray was the mastermind behind the Aces and 8s solidified his villan status The feud after Mr Anderson ended Aces and 8s was magic The Gothic like character Bully Ray portrayed was dark The death of Aces and 8s to him was like losing a loved one he knocked that follow up story with Mr Anderson out the park
The way they turned Bully heel in the cage match was truly something special and by the fan’s reaction you can tell that Bully was hated. Kinda wish we’d get something like that again in Wrestling today
Crazy how they made sure to frame the Bully Ray Poster the most in the shot as Hogan is looking down at the note. Should've known he'd be the leader of Aces and Eights the whole time.

This was the new era of TNA at the time and I remember when AJ came back with the beard and long hair was starting to grow😂 An I wasn't use to his new look but that new look was the beginning of his transition to the Phenomenal One you see on WWE TODAY!! His new look created a new Flavor an AJ reinvented himself.
The reason Hogan was attacked so early in the storyline was because he was scheduled to have surgery on his spine and would require some time off television. While he did return in just matter of weeks, he didn't wrestle a single match for the rest of his TNA run due to this injury which has troubled him for many years. In 2010, he took time off of TNA to have spinal fusion surgery, which practically ended his in-ring career, even though he wrestled match against Sting at 2010 Bound for Glory but it was more than obvious that he was in no condition to wrestle normally anymore.
