In this video, I will be talking about Spider-Man Edge of Time and how it could have possibly been one of the best Spider-Man games ever. It has been a really long time since I picked this game up and while I enjoyed my time, there was a lot that unfortunately held this game back. This is going to be a long ride so I hope you enjoy!

Spider-Man: Edge of Time is a 2011 video game based on the superhero Spider-Man, developed by Beenox. The game was directed by Gerard Lehiany and Ramiro Belanger. The story, written by Peter David, Ramiro Belanger, and Gérard Lehiany, revolves around both Peter Parker, the original Spider-Man, and Miguel O'Hara, Spider-Man 2099, as they combat a new threat across space and time and attempt to save both of their realities, while also trying to prevent Parker's death from coming to fruition. The game is a sequel to 2010's Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, although Spider-Man Noir and Ultimate Spider-Man are not featured, only mentioned.

This game is basically what made Miguel the only other version of spiderman (who isnt peter parker) who works for me, all other others are like modified versions of peter while Miguel is The only one who actually feels like a character of his own. Also im glad my country lasted to 2099 18:50
I can see that take. Just take a look at Shattered Dimensions. All the other spider men were variants of Peter Parker except for Miguel. It was clear he was the standout other than the amazing spider man
I remember the beginning of this game traumatized me, Anti-Venom was a devil incarnate
Before Spiderman Ps4 this was my favorite spiderman game and I didn't even play it I just used to watch the cutscenes on youtube
When I was doing research a lot of people said this was their favorite and I can see why. I just wish that Beenox was given more time because this game really could’ve been amazing!

I bought this game not to long ago to relive some nostalgia and get the platinum. Man i forgot how good the story was. I love Miguels arc of learning what being Spider-Man truly means. Pete's lame jokes that make me chuckle. It is repetitive on the combat side but it's still fun for the most part.
I'm glad you were able to get it again and have fun with the game. It definitely has an amazing story, I just wish Beenox was given more time to create a more fleshed out game. The writing is some of the best we've gotten from any Spider-Man game though. Miguel's arc was one of the best things to come from that game.

THATS WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING ALL THESE YEARS. Everyones saying how garbage it is and there is some fair points and I'm heavily bias because this was like the ONLY game I could play early in my childhood BUT I CANT HELP LOVING IT
Yeah I don’t think it’s as bad as critics made it out to be when it came out. It’s a very well told Spider Man Game. I just thought it was bogged down from the gameplay loop and short runtime. But I’m glad there are people that really LOVE this game. It’s definitely different in a good way!

this is the most accurate and most interesting adaption of peter parker other than spectacular spider-man show. MUCH better than ps4 like its not close
I 100% agree. I love Yuri’s Spider Man, but this version really nails the true nature of who Spider Man is!
I played this game on a Nintendo 3DS. It was exactly the same experience but with severely downgraded graphics, for obvious reasons. I loved it a lot, but your score of 6.5-7.5 is right on the money.
I still have my physical 3ds copy of this game. I should play it again

How do you feel if “Edge of Time” was an animated movie ?
I honestly think it would’ve been received bester if it was an animation in my opinion. In terms of story, I think what they were going for is ok in the game, but if it was animated and given a good amount of time, it could’ve been great
