CDB did a good job as both Noir in SD and 2099 from edge of time. Honestly, I don’t know which Spiderman I prefer his voice with. They both fit him so well. Which one do you prefer?
No probably, we wouldn’t. Dan Slott, who wrote shattered dimension was inspired to create spiderverse after working on the game and being disappointed that the Spider-Men didn’t really interact
I would love to see Insomniac make a whole Spider-Man Noir game, it doesn’t have to be open world but it would be cool if it was, swinging through 1930s New York and interacting with different interpretations of MJ, Jameson, and May. They could even bring in wider Marvel universe characters like Daredevil he would be a perfect choice
I think it would be cool to have the classic Noir take and not have him be able to web swing or wall crawl, having us have to use parkour or even driving more often. Heck even in this game Noir mentions those two new abilities as he didn’t have them before
@@split2961Somehow Ubisoft would be the one to monopolize the parkour system and they are known for historical settings without relying on firearms after all.
I miss superhero games with a level-ficus structure. It works so well for the genre. It seems like it would be easier and more fun for developers to make individual levels and boss fights for each one than having everything fit in an open-world sandbox.
Spider-Man taking care of a ficus would be a great game, honestly. He could water the ficus, prune the ficus, put the ficus in the sunlight, exciting stuff. I would definitely play the Spider-Man ficus game

One of my absolute favorite Spider-Man games EVER. Beenox did an absolutely TREMENDOUS job with Shattered Dimensions. On a side note If anyone has yet to play the DS version of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions then it comes HIGHLY recommended. It's a 2.5D "Metroidvania" and a very good one. What was cool about it also was that they have exclusive villains specifically in this version, and more of the obscure villains, which I like as it gives more exposure to the lesser known/used Spidey rogues. You have Tinkerer & Electro in Amazing Spider-Man's universe, Boomerang & Calypso in Spider-Man Noir's universe, & Vulture & Silvermane in Spider-Man 2099's universe. Mystero still serves as the main antagonist. GREAT version that is seriously overlooked.
@Diego Reviews Yeah you'll definitely want to play it on DS hardware. Also, the DS version of Spider-Man Web Of Shadows is GREAT as well. Made by the same developer of Shattered Dimensions DS (Griptonite Games) and is also a 2.5D Metroidvania.
I never owned this game and I actually had no idea each spiderman had different gameplay like this. This game was definitely a stepping stone. To rabbit trail a bit, Spiderman fits so well into a multiverse for a character not written for it originally. The way spiders use webs to sense at a distance became his spider-sense, which is now written more as a higher dimensional connection is as natural as the way DC's The Flash took to time-travel. It has been cool to watch this multi-worldy nature of Spiderman develop in real time from the 90's show to now. Web slinging is so cool, what a freaking cool character, you rock Stan Lee.
Shattered dimensions is the first game i played and fall in love with the character more the levels are unique and fun the way each characters have different styles of approaching enemies and it was one of the best i wish beenox kept this thing for a little while

Love the video. So many memories from this game. The voice acting really meant a lot to me as it was great to see many of these actors come back after not voicing the character for years. It kinda felt like you were going back in time and playing license games based on those specific Spider-Man shows. Barnes performance as Noir is my favorite of the four as I just think it so cool how different he sounds from his normal Spidey voice. He really made me feel ingrained in the world of Marvel Noir. Also shout out to the villain voice actors especially David Kaye who is my favorite Mysterio voice.
I think while I did play Spider-Man games before this was the first one I bought with my own money. It’s a nice nostalgic romp, and the soundtrack ain’t half bad either give it a listen!
This was a game I always wanted to grab myself. It was a really cool concept. I do agree that Spider-Man 2099's voice was an off choice. Having Barnes as Miguel in Edge of Time was a great pivot. And Keaton could work well as pretty much any Spider-Man. I do find it kind of funny this game also had some X-Men bosses. I ALSO like the idea of a Spider-Man game structured like a Devil May Cry or God of War title. It's just as fitting as the Open-World stuff if you ask me. Though I do wish the OST was more rock and techno inspired like the PS1,PS2 and SNES games.
Big time agree on the OST sentiment. I wanted to use the games soundtrack for the background music in this video, but it was all epic orchestral stuff and it just didn’t fit.
11:41 I don't think you really know what cell shading actually is. It's not about the "vibrant colours" or whatnot. He's 72 and semi-retired these days, but I'd like to see him in a Spider-verse movie even though its heavily unlikely.
@@mickidoesmedia totally agree. I think he does a great performance especially at his age, but the characterization of Miguel in this game also accentuated the hammyness so it’s not all on him. Direction is a key ingredient. Glad he was able to reprise his role at some capacity.
Imagine a game like this that is maybe an open world experience that all shares roughly the exact same map but you can switch between the different dimensions at any time to use different skills and abilities as well as slight changes in the structure of the environment. Each dimension still having its unique styles but with the main structures all being the same, like 4 universes occupying the same structure of events bleeding into one another
I wish Rino Romano voiced Miguel.
I had the same thought!
Agreed.
I literally just booted up this game and it still works 😂. I know it got canceled but shattered dimensions needs a remaster
imo Chris Barnes is the best O'Hara VA
So nostalgic
