ABOUT TIME SOMEONE SHOWED UP!!! THE GUARDS ARE NOT FOOLING AROUND WHEN THEY PUSH THE ALARM BUTTON! THEY NEED IMMEDIATE RESPONSE!
Hi what was wrong with the horse please?
Thank you. 🙏
@@louellajackson2898 appeared he had managed to get his Tongue over the bit. You can see him a couple of times with his tongue hanging out. Most uncomfortable for the horse & meant the Trooper couldn't control him with the reigns.
It’s disgraceful that it took so long. Also, the guards should have alarms on their gloves or sleeves in case they are too far from that alarm.
@@googlamonster5086 It's a work environment, people all have work to do. Just like any other work place, there are times that due to unexpected things happening, it may mean the Buzzer is unattended. If that happens, they have a 3rd Back Up in the form of the Dismounted Trooper who comes & does a visual check so many times in the hour they are on Duty. They are wearing a Military Uniform, Alarms are not part of the Uniform. This Video if I remember correctly is about 10 or 11 mins, so it would mean that he pushed the Buzzer 8 times in about 10 mins. That's not an unreasonable time to have to wait for assistance. If the Police were doing their job properly, then it wouldn't have been an issue. A Buzzer can't go looking for help, the Police can. Don't forget all these Troopers are Highly Trained Soldiers, they are capable of defending themselves if they're threatened. They can always reach that Alarm & if the Horse charges out, he knows how to control it & someone will see them if that happens. Behind the scene staff aren't always having to leave the Buzzer unattended, if they expect to be away for a long time, they will make sure someone can come & cover for them. This situation is not the norm, it's bad luck.
I think the man told the guard that the horse's mouth was bleeding. I hope the horse was ok.
I want to say thank you to the gentleman for making the guard aware of something that needed attention! This touched my heart. I do however feel that there needs to be a new way of alerting someone for help! You shouldn't have to press the button again and again to get help. What a wonderful guard! You could see him getting anxious as he was very concerned about his horse, and no one came for some time, yet he remained calm and collected.
Looks like maybe someone gave the horse a piece of candy he's eating
I agree. The guards and horses worthy of the highest respect and should be treated as so.
@DonnaCsuti-ji2dd it's actually possible that the bit in the horse's mouth was one of the types that have a flavour to them that the horses really like. I went on a guided trail ride a year or so ago, and the woman who owned the horses told me she used certain bits for her horses that taste like licorice, so rather than being a nuisance of having an odd shaped metal object Lin their mouths, the bit was kind of like a treat, similar to sucking on a hard candy
What was the problem ?
@@dizziechef9502 I think it might have been the bit in his mouth was under the tongue not over his tongue.
The man at the beginning looked very concerned and spoke to the guard to say something was wrong with the horse. It’s bad that he had to ring the bell so many times to get assistance
Yep he said his lip is bleeding
@@trystan4358😢😢😢
I don't know much about horses. But this one looked in pain, or in discomfort. It seems like it is struggling purely to maintain position. When it steps back ans walks forward, you can see the horse wants to walk, maybe needs a drink.
The Horse tongue became over the bit I. The horses mouth and if the horse got spooked he wouldn’t be able to control it these are working Horses for the kings Guards they are well looked after
Being raised and working at a horse ranch , there are symptoms the horse can be dehydrated . If his mouth bleeds it’s a sign that the hores is in a very stressful situation. The observing man pointed to his nose and the horse. I feel the horse was having blood from his nose due to possible dehydration and stress.
I totally agree with you that horse does seem very stressed and the bit and reins they use are also rlly sensitive im pretty sure on the horses mouth so it could cause a tad of uncomfort they should also have someone at least giving the horses some water every now and then.
Bastard's they should look after them well beautiful animals that are often abused for there use or should I say over use.
His tongue became loose from the bit in his mouth that’s what happened
I agree with you. The horse had something that was bothering him. It shouldn't have taken so long for some one to come out. Hopefully the horse will be sorted out and feel better.
How long do those horses stand there for, they should be changed up every hour or so or given water & something to graze on, it's not natural for them to just stand in one spot. I've only seen the first minute of this video but it's stressing me out.
Love the way they told the children to be quiet, and one little boy put his hand over his mouth. Ha. Good for him for listening.
Nice to see...especially these days
Actually if you listen closely you can hear them say "it smells like wee" and he covers his nose. Poor horse was probably having strong scented urine due to the dehydration.
@@jordansiple323exactly.
First time I've ever seen a guard showing emotion or reaction to anything. Usually they're stone cold solid but you can see him shaking his head even he was upset with how long it took to get help but he had to stay professional he did amazing at his job and looking out for that beautiful horse.
Thanks to the caring gentleman that notice& told the guard about the bleeding & problem with the bit(mouth piece).
Pobres caballos q sufren el egoismo humano....!!!
Bless that guard he kept calm whilst pressing panic button 8 times before anyone came , that guard is one of my favourites and never press the button like that before , respect respect
This is disgusting that no one is quickly responding to the guards constant ringing for help. Why bother having the system if no one is coming. Not good enough.
Yes this video should be shown to his Majesty the King
@@gerards.519 I AGREE WITH YOU.
Well done to the gentleman for spotting that there was a problem and advising the guard.
That guard probably cares more for his steed, than himself.
Thank goodness after many attempts pushing the panic button, the horse and guard were taken off duty to be made good.
So what was wrong ?
Not sure but think this horse is the one that bit an obnoxious tourist, and was 'snapping' at other morons getting too close, touching etc.
The gentleman appears to be checking out the horses mouth and motioning to the guard his concern.
Though I'm no expert, reading the gentleman's actions, maybe the horse's tongue caught up or something not right with the bit on the left hand side?

😮
Are the Police or Soldiers on strike that they do not answer the panic button, 8 times it was pushed? This has been happening more and more. The magnificent horse was removed so something was wrong. Thank you for your service!
The Tea Break. In England. ..one has to abide to the Tea Break Police included .
Hoping the horse 🐎 is OK hate seeing them sick. Ty for your service ✨️💖🤗
@@tobyrose6906No they do not.
Anyone can tell the horse is not well. It coud be colic or something similar. Poor love.
I should love an update as to how the horse is doing now.
Kudos to the tourist, noticed something wrong with the horse's mouth and informed the guard. Bless you and the horse surely thanks you. The guards can't see everything about the horse, good for him for either trusting the tourist or having a better safe than sorry mindset. Hope the horse is okay.
Guard was being very light on the reins and then when the officer showed up and was checking the horses mouth and the horse went to bite him , the horse may have a abcess and the bit is rubbing it. Those guards pay attention to their horses ❤
Hoffentlich. Ich findest es trotzdem nicht gut für die Pferde so lange stehen zu müssen. Wozu das Pferd eigentlich??
Schrecklich. Für mich nur Show. Armes Tier ❤❤
@lifibrok8903 ya the horse looked a little wobbly at first like when u stand for to long. He go his groove back before he was completely out of screen.
@@lifibrok8903its only for one hour then they change guard and horse.
the tourist, not the guard, noticed something was amiss with the horse.
I'm glad that someone finally showed up to help the Guard's horse. Something must have been wrong with the poor animal. I'm glad the guard was persistent, and kept signaling for help.
That horse is his Friend
Not surprised standing there for a hour at a time..lpoor things.
He almost looks nauseous, hoping he did not have colic
I read somewhere that the horse ended up collapsing later on
@@lyndabeam2622Horses cannot vomit.
8 times is Wrong. Someone should Be around. ...
Beautiful horse
If the button is provided for the guard, the very least that can happen is SOMEONE come and see WHY HE PUSHED IT.
NOT leave it for 2 1/2 minutes before someone come to see.
Especially as they aren’t even allowed to dismount to check the horse or move from their post until relieved from it!
because stuffy tradition and ceremony, they're just for show and have absolutely no efficiency.
@@adepressedcatwithabadnicot246 The King's guard was established 368 years ago in 1656. They are the very root of the tradition that this country was built on. Without it we would be doing the 'Goose Step' now. Apart from that the fact that tourists flock here from all over the world to admire the pomp and ceremony, providing massive income to a great many.
If you don't like it, why are you even on this page?
My grandad was one of the Kings guards. I loved the stories he use to tell me as a child growing up. Miss him every day x
Grief, I believe, is a strange inheritance. Your grandad stories will live on through you. Peace, love, and strength.
Maybe you can tell us his stories. This way his spirit stays somehow longer. ❤ I'm sorry for your loss.
Thanks everyone for giving me the update on the horse. Hope the horse is okay. I wish when the alarm is sounded the reaction time was quicker, then hitting the panic button 8 times. Love to the magnificent horse.
Guards should have communication devices for emergencies. There are plenty of discreet devices available these days.
Thats a terrible response time i hope the guard and horse were ok 👍
A soldier finally came and immediately took horse inside.
He could be the one who looks after it in its stall.
After 4 minutes and repeatedly pressing the alarm for 8 times. Doesn't look nice for the Royal Guards image.
"Finally" and "immediately" make this sentence disagree with itself. It was not immediately, sad to say.
This to me shows the amazing bond between horse and rider. This man knew in his heart that something was wrong with his horse, and didn’t stop until he got some help for it.
What?? The pedestrian in the suit at the start noticed something wrong and told the soldier, who immediately requested assistance. “Knew in his heart something was wrong and didn’t stop” don’t be ridiculous
@@fervent2896exactly. The nose was puss. and the stranger pointed it out. Before that, noone knew nutttin 😮😅
Bull
Shit.
Other dude pointed it out!
Before it, he doesn't know anything 😮
Can see attachment these guards have with their horses can see the genuine worry in guards face while he waiting for help. N sure the horse will be fine best vets in country no doubt
What if someone was intimidating and being aggressive towards either horese or guard. 8 times is far too excessive.
If he was in trouble there’s a second mounted guard on the other side of the gate. Duh
There's a armed police officer less than 20 meters away...
The police are there within seconds when it’s a problem for them to deal with. Perhaps soldiers take their time responding because they know if human life is at risk the police will be on to it. So they think anything which can’t be dealt with by the police can’t be that urgent. Not good, I agree.
Tourists are restricted from approaching Valuable Art , But not Expensively Trained Guards & Horses . Both , who deserve at least a Velvet Roped of Space for Safety.
They literally have authorised firearms officers looking after them. Police presence near downing Street is heavy too. I think they will be fine.
Why have a panic button when no body will answer.
It's ludicrous that the so-called button is pressed for help but no-one comes. Cheers Rosemary Perth Western Australia 73yrs
About time too. Certainly not good enough, especially is the guard was in danger.
The guard is in no danger. If he was he'd be off the horse and defensive.
These are some of the most elite soldiers in the UK, a horse with its 'tongue over the bit' is definitely something they can handle. Most teenage riders would cope with that, some younger.
Hope the horse was okay..awful for the guard too..not being able to examine or help his mount until someone turns out to help..
Those armed guards aren't very swift at answering the RED button.
Poor horse 😢 I hope he gets better soon you need to keep the public away from breathing on the horses 😢
What the hell why is the soldiers call not being answered the button is for emergencies so why was the police gasbaggung and the guards not come quicker or berter still put your camera down and go tell the police he needs help seriously what is wrong with people
The police there are a waste of space.
Button for EMERGENCY. What a joke soldiers and horse could be seriously injured
What takes so long before some one attends to the guard
Hope the horse is OK! why did it take so long, it is called an emergency button but that is not how it seems to work. Poor horse and the guard would of course be worried as he can't actually see what is wrong. Thank goodness it was a tourist that pointed out something was wrong, but no one came quickly.
What did the tourist point out?
@@nancydubois-gr9jx that's what i want to find out as well
@@nancydubois-gr9jxI'm very sure he pointed out the horse was bleeding from his nostril.
@@jo-penfordThat was exactly what my husband, & myself said, also. That the horse was bleeding from the mouth &/or nostril. The way the horse was acting was very telling, as well. Just kind of lethargic, & hanging his head low. I’m going to watch it again, a couple more times. I HOPE someone will be able to let us all know what happened, & if the horse is ok?!
I’m in the U.S.A. I actually have an Irish Draught…he’s such magnificent horse!! He’s a sweetheart. I love him♥️. I love all horses, really. In fact🤔, I love horses more than most people!! TRUTH.

Something wrong!! Never knowiñg what A tourist is offering the horse??
I think ttton is broken that the panic button is broken because a guard used it last week and got not response either.
It should be mended if it's broken .Terrible having to keep pushing the button 😮
EDIT : The young guy told the Guard his horse was bleeding from his nose, Im pretty sure of that. I haven't seen that guard before.. The horse looked tired to me, sweet baby...
I think he saw the horse's tongue out, which meant the bit was under it. Nothing serious, but dangerous in that he couldn't be controlled by the rider and very unpleasant for the horse.
@SagPegasus Man points to his own nose and says " He's Bleeding !" at the same time. Common sense tells me he's talking about the horse. Iv had horses all my life and Iv seen a case of tongue over the bit, they don't stop throwing their head around. This horse looks relaxed to me ( tired / unwell ). A couple of these horses quite often yawn while on Duty... and hang tongue out. However I don't know what happened back in the stable yard. Do you know ?
The horse was obviously distressed when the soldier raised his hand closer to this magnificent animals head. The buzzer system needs to be checked and replaced if necessary.
The moment the guard becomes aware of a problem he pushes for help. Mustve felt like forever for both him and the horse!!!
Thank you to the parents telling the kids to be quieter in this case!!!
I agree. Immediate response! We’re are the guards? Totally unexceptible.
That Trooper looked as if he had dozed off! The Problem with the Horse, who was decidedly unhappy, appeared to be he'd somehow managed to get his tongue over the Bit. Most uncomfortable & meant the Trooper couldn't control him properly, especially if he'd spooked.
The guy says to the guard while pointing to his own nose “he’s bleeding”. Which means the horses nose was bleeding.
@@epizzle9232 Oh! Were You there? I'm Sorry.
Actually there is Mucus in the Photos Not Blood. When the Horses tongue is over a Bit, it alters the path of Saliva from the Horses Mouth. It creates a problem that we Humans call "It's Gone Down the Wrong Way" as the Saliva goes up where the Mucus from the Nose goes Down. It usually results in Coughing, Chocking & Spluttering in us, who then have to Blow our Noses, which a Horse Cant Do.
From my experience with horses, this horse appears to have a condition called "choke." That's why the bystander pointed to his nose. It's likely the horse had some sort of horse feed coming out of its left nostril, which is a typical sign of "choke." Choke occurs when a horse cannot swallow its feed, whether it's because the feed was dry and it didn't have a source of water to drink, or something has gotten stuck in the throat that causes the horse not to be able to swallow its feed all the way into its stomach. This can be a dangerous situation for a horse because the feed can back up the esophagus and cause the horse to aspirate into its lungs. Aspiration is when the contents of the stomach enters into the lungs. If a horse is not treated quickly, it most certainly can end up dying, or end up with a severe case of pneumonia that could also cause death. After the guard and the horse walk away you can see that there is the appearance of grain laying on the ground below the horse's head. And the fact that the soldier peered up into the nose and mouth of the horse indicates he was checking for signs of choke.
The man in the black suit at the very beginning of the film alerted the Guard that there was something wrong with the horses nose.
Maybe as other have said the buzzer was not working. The Guard who came looked at the horse's and sent someone to bring the horse and rider back
😊
I have no words to say. Thanks goodness the horse got help. Tell us what happened to the horse.
Why bother with alarm button, might as well give the guard a tinker bell
I think they should be given a walk-in talkie type of device, nothing big just like an ear peace that they can press in an emergency and actually talk to another soldier. It’s obvious the panic button is useless and technology has moved on so much that I’m sure there is a different way for the guards to get emergency attention.
You should tell the guard that it may broken!
Hope beautiful horse was ok
N well done to horseman/guard bringing attention 8x's
And saint fir noticing distress horse was in ...
All best thankyou for your service 🙏
Glad there wasnt a different type of emergency here. That panic button certainly didnt seem to cause much of a panic response.
We don't see the guard still on duty so much these days 😊 shame he's very easy on the eye 😊
How Awful that it took 8 or more times to respond to the Emergency 🚨 Button…… There should be a Dam Good Reason no One Responded Immediately‼️‼️‼️
I sure hope the Horse 🐴 was alright 😮💨😲😬🥹😍🥰
My first thought would be the button isn’t working, not that soldiers aren’t doing their job.
Somebody needs to be written up, and that is not looking out for your fellow soldier. So, so sad.
At 7:37, That close-up shot of the emergency button was definitely some award winning footage if I've ever seen any!!! ✌️🤠🏆😁👍
Direct communication via head phones is needed
ive seen guards push that button & no one comes & they push it again & wait...seems odd to be so lax about that.
Horse 1: “man I shouldn’t have stayed up all night, I think I might clock out early”
Horse 2: “he left again?!?!?”
Was für eine unglaubliche Tierquälerei😢😢😢
Wonder if there was a connection problem with the alarm. Also what about putting a backup plan into place. Or perhaps guard asking a passerby to go to guard next to him to try his button, something...anything to get assistance.
Not good in todays world that our armed services on ceremonial guard are vulnerable for an emergency response after pressing the alarm 8 times. This needs addressing, seriously, a disaster and quite frightening.
Soldier got a wee nip from that poor mount. Im sure they must have someone monitoring that alarm for the Guards
Y'know a good way they can get information back and forth effectively and secretly could be adding a mouth guard/blocker and having mics hooked in and once a button is pressed in hand it rings put and the guard (that is on duty) can communicate while keeping their composure and still leave the viewers unknowing due to the blocking of the mouth
I think it’s awful how long it took for someone to come and help the guard and his horse. When that button is pushed someone should come fight a way . The horse was apparently in trouble.
Unbelievable.
My goodness,.. what was the matter with the guard's horse? Does anybody know?
I would worship that beautiful horse more then myself
the famous "not-quite-so"-emergency buttons.
I get the fact that they have their rules of decorum and everything. But shouldn't that go out the window when it comes to an emergency situation?
I’m glad his life wasn’t in danger what was he doing having a cup of tea
Someone should respond IMMEDIATELY when these alarm buttons are pushed!! I can't believe how long it takes for someone to respond! Unacceptable!
I’m lost for words right now.
I hope the horse 🐎 okay.
Shame it took 8 times to get response
The guard will only press the alarm if he considers it to be an emergency. The response from the guard commander/ orderly officer/ Regimental Orderly Sergeant Major was disgraceful. This soldier could have been under attack and requiring immediate response. Get a grip and sort out the support mechanism for your soldiers on duty. David retired, Sgt Major

Good on the guard for careing for his horse but wheres the help ?hope horse is ok
Thank God he wasn’t hurt (the guard) it’s bad enough his horse wasn’t well. But horses like any animal can become really unpredictable when not well. He could have kicked back and hurt his rider. Glad that wasn’t the case. And I hope his horse feels better soon.
Why didn’t the other guard that spoke with him do something? I mean he was still hitting the button after that guy left!
That horse is trying not to throw up, he needs to get back to his stall ASAP
The bit might’ve cut his tongue, but that can induce nausea especially just standing still in the heat for an hr
Nice to see the person filming help, what the hell is the world coming to
It makes you wonder how safe and guarded the palace and king are, especially when some one did break in and entered Queen Elizabeth’s bedroom at one time. There seem to be a ton of guards but are they true guards or just for show. I always thought they were well trained guards…….hmm
Pobre soldado y caballo muchas horas ahi cn sed hambre
That emergency button is there when there is an emergency. So, why do the police not rush to the guard to see what is wrong and help? Hope the horse is ok. He didnt look good at all.
I also saw the the nose was bleeding too so thankfully some one came
Bro sometimes they need to drop that dumb tradition crap and just help the horse.
I can only surmise the horse may have had his tongue over his bit which would get very uncomfortable for him. I feel for the horses that is a whole lot to ask of them to stand like that for hours at a time, not to mention do it with someone on their back.
They leave the post unattended (for good reason) but yet they’re real strict. It’s more tradition than necessary.
I think faulty button. I think they have done a bad job maintaining the horse guard area. Doors need painting, stone needs pressure washing. I believe high awnings should be installed to protect from sun and rain. The signage could be properly mounted..and sandwich boards in different languages with the rules and warnings written on them. Also mobbing or blocking the horse should not be allowed nor pole extensions on cell phones near guard or horse.
He was caught of guard 🫣
Hope the poor horse is ok .
The poor horse should’ve been taken to the stables immediately
Demorou tanto, que se fossem um bicho tinha me comido.😅😅😅😅😅
well they probably out back eating or watching TV lol
Is the Kings Guard apart of the military or is it that something different?
You can buy this horse now. It says "lasagna" on the box in your local supermarket
I hope they take great care of these poor horses
I have wondered if they do 😢😢
They really do don’t worry. They’re some of the best cared for working animals in the U.K.
So, I constantly see people boasting about how wonderful this tradition is, yet your so-called "Royal Guards" have issued warnings so many times without receiving any attention at all. Moreover, they are completely incapable of moving on their own to seek further assistance based on their judgment. What is the point of these so-called "guards"? They don't even fulfill the basic function of being vigilant! What if there were any other special circumstances today that required reflection and seeking support? If this system is so disregarded, why keep these seemingly useless "guards"? Why torture these young individuals and innocent horses who have undergone rigorous training, with these mere façades, and then constantly complain about too many tourists?
"The horse is bleeding."
The only thing I want to know is, Is The Horse Ok????? Who cares about the rest of the stuff commented about?
Same here, but I guess we will never know.
That's terrible leaving him waiting for such a long time
It’s time to stop using these animals like this. Shame on them!
I remember that horse with handsome hair bang. Yeah it looked sick, I hope he was cured. ❤
