No, there are still some that like the original better. After playing through both, Ultra imo is HELLA better, there are so many little flaws with the original that Ultra fixes. Only thing Ultra did wrong was multiplayer, but that really couldn't have been helped. Kirby Super Star Ultra, to me at least, is one of the best remakes ever made, based on a great yet flawed SNES classic. The DS version is a masterpiece to me. And the credits music sounds amazing on the DS version because of the alternate pitch, compared to the SNES version, which feels underwhelming to me.
It’s because it’s an objectively better game in all aspects (except music to some people, but I’ve never noticed it) SSU is just SS, with a better coat of paint, more modes, and other small improvements like the map in GCO.
It’s hard to dislike SSU because it doesn’t change much of the original game, and the new additions are great and feel like they’d fit in the original. Most remakes that don’t do this cause fans to prefer the original. Personally, I like Pokemon remakes way more than the originals (with the exception of ORAS, which I don’t think is bad, but RSE is already so good).
Scott Tenorman I think this might be a perfect music for graduation, you finally complete your final year of school (like elementary,Middle, and high) your parents are cheering you for getting lots of unexpectedly great grades and hug them and your teachers, workers,And your friends are waving goodbyes to you and you decide to give a last high fives to them and you thanks to them for lots of memories for the school years, and now your moving to college and remember all of the great times with your friends at school and preparing a new challenge for college will be arrived soon (this music is so nostalgic since it makes me remember the good ol years when school isn't hard and childhood is a perfect time for our lives and I'm glad I still had the game with me)

I know it may be a bit cliche, but I love this game. Kirby was always a part of my childhood, and I don't ever want to throw it away. I'm a huge fan of the whole "many small adventures in one game", and may even kinda prefer it over the "one big adventure" shtick the Kirby franchise usually does. In a way, it kinda reminds of my Amazing Mirror, my favorite handheld Kirby game (mainly due to nostalgia and it being the first Kirby handheld game I played but that's besides the point). Sure, it was the whole one big adventure type of thing, but there were several paths to take, helping to make the adventure something to call your very own. That's what I love about Super Star Ultra. Creating an adventure that you can call your own, but doing it in a way that makes it unique. Letting you do certain games within in a certain order. Thank you for listening to my tale, and fly on, little star warrior.

Definitely my favorite Staff Roll theme in the entire series, if I'm being honest. Heck, this theme may just be one of my favorite credits themes of all time! God, Kirby Super Star Ultra was such an incredible remake; it fixed the flaws the Super NES original had and added a surplus of new content for players to enjoy, as well as planting the seeds for the modern era of the Kirby series that would start a couple years later with Return To Dream Land. I don't think any other remake could top it!
This song really gets me in the feels. This is probably the last game I beat when I was still actually a child, I was 12 and life was simpler, I didn’t have my mental issues, I was a lot more innocent, my brother was more carefree, my grandpa and old cat was still alive...
Dayonder Productions Same. I prefer this credits music to the original as I have been playing this game since October 2019 and Kirby Super Star Ultra has one of my best Kirby game soundtracks.

And so Kirby threw the wicked jester Marx into the clockwork star Nova. Kirby grabbed a Warp Star back to Planet Popstar. Back to his home. Kirby reminisced over the five adventures he had over the course of the game. Traveling across the land to get Dream Land's food back from the nefarious King Dedede....Saving the land from the warship of the mysterious masked knight....Defeating a giant bird atop a mountain....Finding treasures deep beneath the earth....And finally, travelling across the solar system to find Nova. As Kirby walked back to his home, it got dark out. Kirby was very tired. As he took his well deserved nap, a masked knight flew off towards the skies, with the intent of getting stronger. Who knows? Maybe he would get to fight the strongest person of all. King Dedede was at it again. His minions were gathering in the most secluded parts of Dream Land. What could they possibly be plotting? As for what happened to Marx, that's another story for a new day...Let's just say he made amends with Kirby over some cake.

I honestly forgot this song existed until I heard it in EPG's Remake or Rebreak on this game; it was the first time I'd heard it in several years, and the nostalgia hit me like a ton of bricks. This theme is so damn underrated.
The original version is in G major, but this version is in F flat major. I have no problem with the different key, in fact this version is how I first remembered this song
Why is this song such a bop??? They did not need to go so hard, but they did. 😭 I love Kirby music, but this right here? It's something more than that. This is one of my favorite tracks in any game ever. It's so good.
Honestly, this game doesn't even close to being one of my all-time favorites, BUT this was the first game that I remember specifically asking for as a kid and it ended up having a huge impact on my taste in games down the line. Because of that, this game and its music connect me back to my childhood in a way nothing else does.
This game was the thing that let me play an amazing game in an even more amazing quality even thought i was born in 2006 and never owned a SNES. I'm so glad i got to play this game again recently
Happy late 15th anniversary to Kirby Super Star Ultra. Thank you for literally being the GOAT of all kirby games, yup, even better than Kirby and the forgotten land, even better than Kirby 64, since they can't comprehend the amount of love I have for this game. The fact this released the same day that Mega Man 9 released is crazy, two good games in one day.
I recently played the game on an emulator on a chromebook and I loved this music and I looked it up and now I’m actually crying while thinking of my childhood and playing this when I was 5
I just want the feeling I get when I listen to the first 7 seconds of this song to last the length of an entire song someone one day will realize how amazing that small soundbyte of music is and will create a legendary remix
That leitmotif actually appears a LOT in Kirby songs. Take a listen to any green greens theme since melee, as well as a whole lot of other songs some even from this game
In spite of the cruelties, the malevolence, the unfathomable darkness that lurks throughout the universe, the things that exist beyond a feeble mortal's comprehension and wish only for destruction... All the elder gods and ancient demons waiting to be unleashed by the selfish and wrathful... All the fallen angels who lash out at creation after shattering like glass... *He* will come. As every action shall have an equal and opposite reaction, so too will he come, rising to any challenge, and make things right. He is every skill, every talent, every dream. He is the sum of all of our best qualities. He will arrive on a spring breeze as if from nowhere and bring light to the darkness. Then, his duty completed, he returns home and takes a cozy nap. For he _is_ that spring breeze. Just as he is every warm ray of sunshine that accompanies it, every marshmallow in a cup of hot cocoa on a snowy evening, every shoulder you've ever cried on, every warm and fuzzy feeling that makes us feel safe. He is living proof that the universe truly _does_ care.
I dont know what it is, but this song makes me feel emotions that I cant properly explain. Similar to tears of joy or something. Like "I just got into heaven" feelings.
Amazing mirror on the virtual console was the first Kirby game I played, and adventure was what made me like the series, but superstar on switch online is what truly made me love Kirby as much as I do. And superstar ultra in particular is not only my favorite in the series, but one of my favorite games ever made. Can’t wait to see where this silly little guy goes next
I remember that! Dedede building a playground and Little Kirby just being happy when Dedede and all of Cappy town thought they were gonna die from a meteor, and the King wanted nothing more than spend his last moments making the Cute Puffball happy, as Death would be really hard for the little guy to Understand.
reminding all of you that the episode plot was that pop star was literally going to be destroyed by a giant asteroid but it's a anime/show for everyone so that din't happen but when i first watched it i was emotional inside even if i knew that wasn't the last episode of the kirby of the stars anime they din't have to make episode 42 that emotional
listening to this as the wii u and 3ds eshops close hits so different. I always say that planet robobot was my first kirby game, but I remember playing through super star on the Wii U virtual console (up until great cave offensive, i got stuck on getting all the treasures and did NOT want to look up a guide). Then i went ahead and bought planet robobot on a whim, and beat it pretty quick too. I went back to beat super star and milky way wishes soon after, figuring out nova was from this game blew my mind when i was younger. Robobot is my favorite game of all time, and super star basically got me into the franchise, so i got to give it to the shops that i bought these games on all those years ago.
I could be mistaken but it seems 0:21 also plays the theme that you hear upon reaching a goal section, only in MW Wishes, which is the song I'm looking for right now.
I remember getting a copy of this game way back in the year when it first came out cause I had noticed a lack of a Kirby game, so, me and my mom went to a Radio Shack inside a mall where they had the last copy but sadly she didn't have enough money which was upsetting however 2 days later my grandma gives us enough money to do some shopping for the holidays and we immediately went back to the Radio Shack at the mall and THANK GOD that final copy was still there that I was so happy to give my money to buy that game! I played it during the whole month of December and I had a blast! I didn't have the knowledge that this was a remake of the original SNES but this will always be the first Kirby game I had fond memories with.
Is it just me, or does Ultra seem to be the only game where people like the remake more than the original?

This game had a plot? I played this game when I was very little.
I honestly forgot this song existed until I heard it in EPG's Remake or Rebreak on this game; it was the first time I'd heard it in several years, and the nostalgia hit me like a ton of bricks. This theme is so damn underrated.
R.I.P Nintendo 3ds
( 2011 - 2021 )
The original version is in G major, but this version is in F flat major. I have no problem with the different key, in fact this version is how I first remembered this song
I'm sorry I meant F sharp.
When I played the end of destiny 2, this song came to mind as the traveler blasted ghaul's turtle looking ass out of existence
Ducktator ___ lol, same for me, but I thought of the SNES version....
P.S it was satisfying that the final blow was a Nova bomb ;)
Why is this song such a bop??? They did not need to go so hard, but they did. 😭
I love Kirby music, but this right here? It's something more than that. This is one of my favorite tracks in any game ever. It's so good.
1:57-2:36 Barney at Hollywood Bowl
I laughed so hard when Galacta Knight died, I didn't expect him to explode!
(Inhales and absorbs Childhood): *Pure nostalgia*
Honestly, this game doesn't even close to being one of my all-time favorites, BUT this was the first game that I remember specifically asking for as a kid and it ended up having a huge impact on my taste in games down the line. Because of that, this game and its music connect me back to my childhood in a way nothing else does.
0:00 Crowned [Kirby's Adventure Wii]
0:19 Kirby's Triumphal Return [Kirby Super Star]
2:35 Green Greens [Kirby's Dreamland]
Danelia Munoz timestamps for the songs? Cooooooooool
Except C.R.O.W.N.E.D. wasn't a thing until 2011.
Joyce Ismael LOL
May be mistaken if you ask me
R/woosh
Kirby was and still is my gaming childhood, and hearing the credits brings back all the memories I've had with this pink puffball.
When you finally graduate from high-school
CONGRATULATIONS
You survived 2020!
the nostalgia that this song brings me hits harder than a brick, I love the game soo much.
This game was the thing that let me play an amazing game in an even more amazing quality even thought i was born in 2006 and never owned a SNES. I'm so glad i got to play this game again recently
You're 1 year older than me
So THATS where the short theme in kirby final boss songs came from.
Never have I heard such legendary music
When a father makes a surprise homecoming after a long overseas Marine trip.
this shit fucks me up every time
Happy late 15th anniversary to Kirby Super Star Ultra. Thank you for literally being the GOAT of all kirby games, yup, even better than Kirby and the forgotten land, even better than Kirby 64, since they can't comprehend the amount of love I have for this game. The fact this released the same day that Mega Man 9 released is crazy, two good games in one day.
I recently played the game on an emulator on a chromebook and I loved this music and I looked it up and now I’m actually crying while thinking of my childhood and playing this when I was 5
Remember a Slice of the Green Greens theme here?
^Reply Here^
I like the cutscene of Kirby sleeping
I just want the feeling I get when I listen to the first 7 seconds of this song to last the length of an entire song someone one day will realize how amazing that small soundbyte of music is and will create a legendary remix
That leitmotif actually appears a LOT in Kirby songs. Take a listen to any green greens theme since melee, as well as a whole lot of other songs some even from this game
i really love how you can tell how good a song is by where the 'most replayed' tab is :)
The feels this song brought me as a child... they're all flooding back-
Play this at my funeral, Not kidding
When you complete dat dere test in academy and you go home feeling really proud.
This makes me want to cry. I remember this
What a triumph is thaaaaat?
This makes me sad and happy at the same time. Thank you Satoru Iwata...
thank u for making these u are a hero
Why the skip intro? That's the best part! [*Plays intro 100000 times*]
Wow this is definitely my favorite kirby bgm
Amazing mirror on the virtual console was the first Kirby game I played, and adventure was what made me like the series, but superstar on switch online is what truly made me love Kirby as much as I do. And superstar ultra in particular is not only my favorite in the series, but one of my favorite games ever made. Can’t wait to see where this silly little guy goes next
It was a really interesting decision to change the key of this song when remaking the game. I can't even decide which version is more of a tearjerker.
Fun fact: 0:20 was used in Kirby Right Back At Ya, in episode 42.
0:19 Kirby and King Dedede enjoying their last day at the park.
Def. My favourite kirby game of all time. And one of my favourite games of my childhood
team rocket... blasting off again!
*they crash into nova & credits roll*
To think this game turns ten on September 29th
listening to this as the wii u and 3ds eshops close hits so different.
One of the best Super Star Ultra tracks!
このゲームに熱中してたガキの頃思い出して涙出てくる
"All in a day's work."
Almost cried the first time I heard this.
What a triumph is thaaaat?
I could be mistaken but it seems 0:21 also plays the theme that you hear upon reaching a goal section, only in MW Wishes, which is the song I'm looking for right now.
0:20 for intro skip
Why is Kirby music so catchy.
*_E X P L A I N_*
When you realize this could fit the moment the death star explodes
I forgot how incredible the drums are for the DS. Really crisp and rich.
Love that they kept the same SNES music for the intro of this song
Even after all these years since I played this game, I remember this song. Oh the nostalgia.
