I love raging bull’s first drop and all of the airtime on el toro, but nothing compares to the second drop on the boss. The first time you ride the boss, make sure it’s a night ride in the back. Trust me the second drop will catch you off guard.
The most surprising airtime moment I have ever experienced was on the Jack Rabbit at Kennywood. The first half of the ride is like a kiddie woodie. Once you hit the double down though, you are just launched out of your seat. I have been on many great airtime coasters, but I have not experienced a single pop of air that amazing.
Kennywood is my home park. Jack Rabbit was even crazier before they put in the seatbelts in 2004. Just the stationary bar, and an old leather strap with some steel rings, and basically a keychain clip to keep it loosely around your waist.
4Chan they seem like a fine design but every time you go over an air time hill the restraints dig into your legs. My fiancé and I both had bruises on our legs from them.
Mine: Revolutions first drop on the back row: blackpool pleasure beach, this rollercoaster is underrated Icon’s barrel roll before the second launch El Toro’s camelback and first drop Steel Vengenaces outer bank
You’re absolutely right about that outward bank on Steel Vengeance. The entire ride is a highlight reel, but the bank is simply amazing. Steel Vengeance offers so much airtime that you almost forget there’s a seat under you. Out of curiousity, have you ridden Voyage at Holiday World?? It’s an airy ride as well, almost 25 seconds worth.
Came back to rewatch this after experiencing SteVe, and holy mother that outer banked hill is unlike anything I have ever experienced. I was in the front seat and it still felt like the airtime lasted for a week on that element. Needless to say, I agree with your assessment 😂
I feel as if Skyrush’s bunny hop before the break run is some of the best ejector I’ve ever gotten, it’s so abrupt and unexpected and it was for sure my favorite element on Skyrush just because of its insane airtime.
I went on Ghost Rider in the back seat twice last time I went to Knott's and can confirm that the airtime on this ride is spectacular! I especially love the second hill after the first drop for its floater airtime.
I love Ghostrider, just rode it twice today and haven't rode it in years! I never really understood what airtime was or felt and boy I was taking advantage of getting airtime on coasters including Ghostrider.
For me, it's hard to make a list of top airtime moments cause once you hit a certain level, they kinda all feel the same. But I loved the airtime moments of TC, IR, and ET.
Haven't been able to ride mamy coasters, my home state was a roller coaster desert, literally, Arizona. I mainly rode wild mouse costers at the state fair. When we finally moved to Ohio my hubby and I went to Ceder Point. He had more coaster cred than I, his home park was Busch Gardens Williamsberg. So we both got to expiriance two costers we had never heard of. Valraven, and Maveick. They are our two top faves for now. The hubby and I had no idea what an Intamin Blitz coster was. That first 95° drop was my favorite ejector time :D we got seats in the back. It was amazing! Both drops on Valraven were awsome as well. Again, we had NO idea what a dive coster was. (I had told the hubby about B&M) I think my stomach is still at the top of that first drop, lol. Dive and Blitz costers are my fave for now. We didn't get a chance to ride Steele Vengence, wait time was waaaaayyyyy too long, pluse the hubby has an aversion to anything resembling a wooden coaster. After getting mugged by Apocalypse. I so agree with you about Raging Bull. SFGA has been my home park for life and the first time I went back row on the ride I loved it and like you said I will wait to get into the back.
I haven't been to many parks, but my favorite moment is the double down on Kennywood's Jack Rabbit. It is just as strong as the Phantom's, except it's surprisingly more than 80 years older.
At the adventuredome if you go on disko you get sometimes get crazy airtime. Also the corkscrew on canyon blaster if you sit in the back you feel like you are standing up! The entire ride is full of airtime moments
Nice video! My favourite airtime moment is the long ejector hill before the turnaround on Magnum. In all the rows it’s floater, except for row 3, which you just get launched out of your seat and you’re just standing for a long time. My second favourite is the outerbanked turn on Steel Vengeance. Good list though!
I have ridden 117 coasters and the best airtime I had is from a coaster that no longer exists, The Big Dipper at Geauga built by John Miller. The coaster would cause butterflies and MAKE you Love it! They just don't build them like they used to.
Due to the fact that I cannot contain my enthusiasm for this video: There is too much I wanna talk about here so for now I'll just summarize by saying: The outward banked turn on SV in the back car (row 11 or 12) was my favourite element on SV. It didn't upset the sustained airtime sensation like the "top hat"/2nd drop that preceded it, (which had the potential to be an even better drop and airtime sensation due to its even bigger drop) but because I felt it interrupted the sensation of airtime (by jerking to the right too abruptly and/or slightly at the wrong part of that drop) is exactly why I much prefer the outward banked turn/3rd drop. That element didn't interrupt the PERFECT and seemingly uninterrupted sensation of sustained flojector airtime of the element, despite the fact that it also turned to the right and had to eventually straighten itself from also being... I dunno... OUTWARD BANKED! Go figure ;) (If only every coaster element could be that perfect... ... I'm allowed to dream... ...) Thanks for this awesome airtime video.
Watched this video 2 years ago, shocked to see el toro get so many moments here. I finally got on el toro just before the derailing incident, and WOW am I glad to have ridden it, with friends too! Will never forget it and hope to get more rides with my friends next year, we all wanna go back (we may also go to do the supporting rides later this year while el toro is closed just if we can’t wait 😝 )
Georgia Scorcher, despite being a standup, actually has PLENTY of airtime to offer. There is a mini wave turn midway into the ride, and my feet were simply LAUNCHED into the air. It was literally sustained ejector on a STANDUP.
For some reason the strongest air time I ever felt was the air time on Steel Vengeance just before the midcourse. Maybe it was a hot day and I was in the back, it was even stronger and faster than Magnum's airtime
I find Behemoth's airttime after the first drop to be one of my favourites. Talk about sustained air. It's one of the few drops that still gives me butterflies (it's pure giddiness for me).
New Texas Giant's first drop is my favorite airtime moment. The first time I rode it, it kinda freaked me out a bit. I feel like I'm flying down that drop. I love it.
Raging Bull is at my home park and I can't thank you enough for the rating and the back seat recommendation. I got rides yesterday following your advice, the back seat is a revelation! It's a completely different roller coaster from second last row to back row. The air time is so much more pronounced throughout and the first drop.... yeah... Oh yeah!!! I'm enjoying your content quite a bit! Thanks for your shout to the Bull which doesn't get the love it deserves.
I haven't gotten to visit any parks outside the Southern California area, but my 3 favorites I've experienced would be that sudden drop after the double up on the blue side of Twisted Colossus, the camelback on the blue side of Twisted Colossus, and the 5th drop of GhostRider in the back row. The blue side of Twisted Colossus is so damn good.
Exactly, the green side is great too, just feels a bit underwhelming after coming off the blue side. Even though that hangtime on the top gun stall is probably my favorite moment on the ride, the blue side is just better as a whole.
I recently was able to revisit my home park (Fiesta Texas) for the first time in a while with my brother. It's been several years since we went on coasters together. I found it hilarious when my brother's least favorite moments on the Rattler were the airtime moments. My brother doesn't like Airtime. The thing most enthusiasts claim to be the best part of the ride. We had a blast! Thanks to some really kind souls giving up their spots we managed to get a back row ride before heading out- it was my first time in the back and my goodness does that final drop off the quarry pack a punch from there! I could ride the Iron Rattler all day long. Good thing the line isn't usually too bad! Also, thanks for your recommendations for the must-do coasters at Over Texas! We had a great time and managed to get on all of the coasters except the clones (Batman, Joker). Most of the lines were pretty short except Mr. Freeze, New Texas Giant, Runaway Mountain, and La Vibora (those really roomy restraints were... something!). It took some convincing to get my brother on Mr. Freeze at first but it came out as the favorite of the day. Had to go for a second run right before closing! Did back and front rows on that- such a great ride! Clever method of running two trains, too! I might have a few hours for Magic Mountain in August... but not a whole day. Maybe I can sneak a ride on Twisted Colossus at the very least!
The double dip on Jack Rabbit at Kennywood deserves an honorable mention-it’s made even better by the minimal belt and fixed lapbar restraints ... and it’s 100 years old. The OG airtime moment has spoken!
Also gotta show love to Mavericks airtime hill after the twists through the rock work, and after the second launch when the trims are off on the ride. When the trims are off after the 2nd launch, that hill into the banking right turn drop is insane.
I might be VERY biased, but Ravine Flyer II's first drop in the back and the ejector hills over the road, both ways, in the back are unmatched for me. The first drop when in the back, since it slows the chain as you get to the top, you get slowed down only to get WHIPPED over the top right by the view of the lake, into the drop down the hill. Following that with the best ejector air moment on the bridge over the road, I could marathon that ride for hours if they fixed the S bend after the first pass.
The last few hills on Comet at Hersheypark give some CRAZY airtime in the back row. at that point in the ride I just get lifted up about 2 inches off the seat on every one of the hills!
My favorite airtime is on Phantoms Revenge at Kennywood, the second hill your floating out your seat the whole hill and on the turn around you don’t, but after that go into a airtime moment and it always makes you tee like your gonna die, then you go through six injector airtime hills. It’s an intense and amazing coaster
Renegade and wild thing at valleyfair have ANAZING first airtime hills. The one one wild thing holds the record for longest negative GeForce on any coaster
Some of my favorites: Twisted Colossus- Hill before the High 5 (Top5) Iron Rattler- First drop and Last drop (Top 5) Diamondback- First drop but also first and second airtime hills GhostRider- 5th drop- this is awesome! (Top 5) Steel Vengeance- Outer bank turn (Top 5), drop off mid course with no trims, hill up to mid course, Wonder Women (SFFT)- First drop back row Storm Chaser- Camelback hills I believe were my favorite Magnum XL-200- Camelback hills coming into the station (Top 5). Goliath (SFGAM)-First drop
Excellent video! Love airtime: I'll chime in on a few of mine in no order. The Voyage( no trims) - tripple down. Outlaw Run- first drop Skyrush- 3rd Hill. Phoenix-last 3 hills Phantoms Revenge- last bunnies.
My favorite airtime moment is Cannibal's first drop. It has some very intense ejector, and occasionally, you can get a trimless ride on it, and the airtime on the drop is even more intense!
@@AirtimeThrills The ride is crazy enough with trims, but without? You are whipped over that drop, and it feels like you are experiencing -2 g's! Even though -2 g's may sound amazing, it can be painful (especially if you're a dude). They usually run it like that during the first bit of the season, when it's colder outside.
That Rolling Thunder hill caught me by surprise! I heard about it, but was looking a little more forward to the first giant hills, however I overlooked the best part of the ride! Glad you included it, very much deserving! Love the list brotha 👍🤘
im glad to see El Toro on here 3 times. definitely rightfully deserved. sometimes by the time we hit the break run i feel like i was just violated. i can't believe its been 13 years and there are no trims on this thing
Gotta love El Toro, of course. But for a while, Fiesta Texas was my home park, and that included the last days of the Rattler and the first of the conversion into the Iron Rattler. I remember going on the back row right after it opened, no real expectations yet (since RMC conversions were extremely new at this point and I hadn't tried out the New Texas Giant because of the horrendously rough rides I'd had on the original in the past keeping me away). That cliff dive made my heart leap, and to this day it's about my favorite coaster moment. (Well, maybe second favorite-- I somehow made it onto the Hulk without knowing how it started, and that was an incredible, supremely fun shock.)
Yes, Wildfire also gave me awesome airtime in the back on the drop. Having just experienced El Toro the last few days, I totally get all that you said about it! The rolling thunder hill was my favorite moment of the 4. I was quite surprised by Superman Ride of Steel at SFA last Friday, with the hill after the weird straight-track section. I am literally bruised from that crazy ejector hill after 10 rides on it that day. Of course, I agree with you on Iron Rattler, and on Makos hill, which for me was even crazier in the front: sustained ejector with my eyeballs at the top of my skull. But my #1 is also that hill on SV.
I got a great ride on Sky Rush where I wasn’t stapled at all and the lap bar didn’t hurt at all. I got insane ejector. Also the only other moment that compares to that is riding Phoenix at Knoebels because I rode with an adult and since their thighs were bigger than mine, the buzz bar came nowhere near my thighs so it was amazing to get that much air. Even the person I was riding with got amazing ejector as well on those last few bunny hills.
The most insane airtime moment I've had out of 68 coasters was on a traveling coaster called Super Railway at a fair in Toulouse, France in 2015. There were NO restraints on this coaster...you just hung onto the bar on each side of the car. And there were some big, forceful, fast drops...this was no Wild Mouse. On one of the drops near the end, I flew completely out of my seat, it was actually scary, and the only thing holding me in was my hands grabbing the bars on the sides of the car! That said, I was riding by myself in the bobsled-style car with my back pushed all the way to the back and my legs somewhat stretched in front of me. If people had been riding in the car with me, it probably would have been "safer," i.e. less of me flying completely out of my seat, lol. In my opinion, it's a dangerous ride that wouldn't be allowed in America. But I loved it since I survived. Here's a pic I took of the coaster when I rode it: imgur.com/znR0uRj

Blue side is king. I like green also but its kinda disappointing knowing you already did the better side when youre going up the lift
Exactly, the green side is great too, just feels a bit underwhelming after coming off the blue side. Even though that hangtime on the top gun stall is probably my favorite moment on the ride, the blue side is just better as a whole.
I agree blue side is better, however the stall on the green side is better than the roll on the blue side IMO
So glad someone finally puts raging bull’s drop on this list. But the drop
off the mid course is just as good, if not better than the first drop
Those camelbacks on el toro are crazy. I would always see park maps fly out of the train whenever it would reach the top
You just had to say flojector during a pov of Steel Vengeance😂 love it!
With El Toro not too far away, I can safely agree with each mention of the glorious woodcoaster
First Drop, last row on Expedition Geforce - Holiday Park, Germany
Best Airtime Moment ever created on a coaster and also best First Drop ever :)
Was gonna say that as well. You're really missing out on something if you haven't experienced that drop.
I only rode 75 coaster in Germany an the Netherlands and my Favourite Airtime Moment is KÄrnans First Drop. This Drop is absolutly amazing.
The sustained floater hill before the tip out corner on Twisted Timbers. It feels like your in the air for soooo loong
The second trick track moment is also great
Also gotta show love to Mavericks airtime hill after the twists through the rock work, and after the second launch when the trims are off on the ride.
June 5th: I watch this video
August 24th: RUclips puts this in my recommended
No Kennywood Jack Rabbit?
It’s the granddaddy of airtime.
I think Iron Rattlers first drop is far better than the cliff dive. When I rode it, it didn’t slow down at the top of the life.
The maverick second hill tosses your body so high!
The last few hills on Comet at Hersheypark give some CRAZY airtime in the back row. at that point in the ride I just get lifted up about 2 inches off the seat on every one of the hills!
The best airtime I ever had was on Lost Gravity in Walibi Holland. My credit count is still small but I hope to expand in the future.
Don't forget the wicked ejector hills on the Big Apple Coaster
Not worth the pain.
Storm runners top hat blew me away with its insane ejector
My favorite airtime is on Phantoms Revenge at Kennywood, the second hill your floating out your seat the whole hill and on the turn around you don’t, but after that go into a airtime moment and it always makes you tee like your gonna die, then you go through six injector airtime hills. It’s an intense and amazing coaster
That moment when Raging Bull has a better airtime moment than El Toro
Toro made up for it
Well El toro means “The Bull” so raging bull was just more mad
Renegade and wild thing at valleyfair have ANAZING first airtime hills. The one one wild thing holds the record for longest negative GeForce on any coaster
Love diamondback in the back left seat you get hit with water at the end and feels like you will fly out the whole way thru. No hands no feet.
Jack Rabbit’s double-down. I lifted 12 inches off the seat. One foot!!
Some of my favorites:
Twisted Colossus- Hill before the High 5 (Top5)
Iron Rattler- First drop and Last drop (Top 5)
Diamondback- First drop but also first and second airtime hills
GhostRider- 5th drop- this is awesome! (Top 5)
Steel Vengeance- Outer bank turn (Top 5), drop off mid course with no trims, hill up to mid course,
Wonder Women (SFFT)- First drop back row
Storm Chaser- Camelback hills I believe were my favorite
Magnum XL-200- Camelback hills coming into the station (Top 5).
Goliath (SFGAM)-First drop
Excellent video! Love airtime: I'll chime in on a few of mine in no order.
The Voyage( no trims) - tripple down.
Outlaw Run- first drop
Skyrush- 3rd Hill.
Phoenix-last 3 hills
Phantoms Revenge- last bunnies.
Those are all great. I really need to ride Voyage without the trims
@@AirtimeThrills its super thrilling and intense. Almost feels unsafe. Riding wondering what keeping the train on the tracks.
My favorite airtime moment is Cannibal's first drop. It has some very intense ejector, and occasionally, you can get a trimless ride on it, and the airtime on the drop is even more intense!
I cant imagine that drop trimless. That would be absolutely insane
@@ryan_n05 I'll be back in late August so I doubt I'll ride it like that but here's to hoping
@@AirtimeThrills It won't run without trims. They only run it like that in usually about the first two weeks of the season.
Yeah SDC is my home park and wildfire does surprisingly have airtime on the drop!
Literally ALL of Twisted Timbers is a great airtime moment lmao
Lightning rod has a banked airtime hill right before the quad down
Woaahhhh you forgot about the 2 airtimehills on the smiler
I get that you've probably not ridden it and dont know but Helix has an airtime hill that is such strong and sustained ejector. It's amazing!
My top 3 bests airtime's moments (except drop):
1. The first Camel Back of Hyperion
2. All airtime's moments on Untamed
3. The iSpeed Top Hat
I consider myself an enthusiast but airtime still freaks me out lmao I need to get used to it, at my home park there is barley any time
Koji Same! I hold on to my lap bar as strong as I can on El Toro.
Ragging Bulls first drop is underrated
The airtime on Goliath at la ronde is insane
