Really the best episode yet. Diving, drinking, distilling, sailing, slo-mos, old friends, new friends, saying goodbye and saying hello. World class production. Good on you Delos Crew!
I am sure lots of folks have said this....but....You guys are the Best storytellers...and video editors...and music..and..on and on...I guess I am saying...I really enjoy your videos!! Thank You...I hate the good byes....
The highlight of my week is to get to share in the fun ... I get to live vicariously. thru your videos durring lunch on Fridays ... and on Sunday ( weather providing) I get to realise my own adventures in our sailboat on a local lake. Although its nothing like what you experiance I have only you guys for motivating my husband to rekindle a childhood love of sailing. We've been following you for a few years now. After we started watching he popped up one evening, exahusted and pulling an old Victoria 18 he had dug out of a graveyard...6 months later Delos videos gave birth to a daysailer named Babydoll ( after me). So whether you are aware or not...you have had a tremendous influence on some of us who are fans. We are now looking for a bit bigger boat and look forward to many more episodes of SV Delos. May fair winds follow you Thanks Rhoda
I honestly don't know if anything makes me more happy than a new Delos vid if there is anything that makes me more happy then a new Delos vid is up there with the top 3 things.
Capt. Jack Sparrow and his crew aboard the Black Pearl have nothing on you guys. Love all the videos. Whoever does the video editing with the music, and the drone shots and the graphics does an outstanding job. Love that the girls are so carefree about going topless at times, ......like who cares, we're out in the middle of nowhere, anyway, right ? Kool. Love how you guys show all the different characters that you run into along your sailing journeys and the amount of wildlife that you encounter as well. Let each creature live it's life no matter how big or small. Everything has it's own purpose on this planet. The beach side cookouts are just outta this world. Fresh hot food, a cold beer , some rum shots, a deserted beach in the middle of nowhere, a beach fire, and a gorgeous sunset, just doesn't get old.
Amazing video Delos Crew! Will miss seeing Camilla for sure. Beautiful girl with a lovely personality. Hi lite was meeting the Glenfiddich crew. My favorite drink is Grants scotch whisky. Coming over to your boat and taking a sample of your whiskey back for analysis was an amazing gesture. Now I know why I drink Grants scotch whisky. Thanks for sharing the video. Karen's editing skills gets better each episode.
Brian and his ability really shows all the years of sailing & repairs to just about anything that make the ship operate. Jack of All Trades Master of ALL!
Your videos are like a warm bath with a fresh Islandbreeze. So cool. The women are adorable… Cheyenne or "Chyanne"cracks me up… Tight sails, bubbles off the wake and bright dripping stars.
To the Delos Crew, thanks to you and to your awesome videos, today I am doing a sea trial on my first ever Sailboat (1980 O'day 37 Center Cockpit). With luck she will become my passage maker! I cannot tell how many of your videos I watched saying " I am doing something wrong." Well today, the dream meets reality. I am scared to death! I have some work to do on the boat to get her ready. So, I am still part of the rat race. But, when ever I get scared or discouraged, I just sit down and watch one of your videos! Simple! Thank you!!!!
Brian and the rest of the Delos crew, I am blown away by your generosity. Including Greg and Chyanne on your journey is something I’m sure they will never forget and they will never see the world the same. You can see the joy on their faces since being picked to join. So awesome!!! Thank you for sharing with us and you all are truly an I inspiration. I am watching all the vids in order so you may have done this but a follow up with some of the previous crew would be awesome to see in a separate playlist.
Hats off to Camilla! truly awesome! My son sails with The Rona Sailing Project which has changed his life and this year is going to college to study Marine Engineering because of having the chance to sail with them....his dream now is to circumnavigate the world.....A great project for young people.
Your crew is so inspirational to me. Discovering this channel was one of the best discoveries i have made because you opened me up to a whole new world of interests. Allowing me to take part in your journeys of the world and beautiful friendship has turned me into an aspiring sailor. Much Thanks
As an EE it was great to see you use troubleshooting progression to solve the electrical problem. That and a little tapping with the wrench will always work.
I was just going to write that your vids give me hope for mankind. And There are so many awesome people out there. And the news gives a warped perception of the world. Then some guy tries to steal your dingy! Lol! But there are way more awesome people than dingy stealers. Seriously. Your videos are therapy.
Poor Brady, always having the ladies taking off. Camila seemed like a keeper. One of these times your going to have to keep one of your pirate ladies on board for good!
Fantastic mix of music.... Camilla great things will come to you. I wish if you can give us a heads up on your new adventure sailing that tall ship... You guys never fail to amaze us, its not easy creating fresh sounds and videos every week thank you so much Karin by the way love your voice in narration sooooooo smooth & tranquil.. ok kissing up is over Have fun all ~~~~
Another awesome job of editing by Karin. I feel she is also an experienced sailor and one who will jump right in and do whatever is necessary at the moment. I would feel comfortable if she was in charge of the ship I was sailing on. It is also comforting to have Brian around if anything goes haywire....great to have his experience and brainpower on the ship. Another enjoyable video!
some of the most beautiful diving footage yet! But more than anytning, I love the sparkle in Greg's eye...you have really given him an experience of a lifetime. Brady, your commentary is warm and thoughtful, Brian...you seem so genuine and kind and your hugs are real. Karin, your smile will make you friends wherever you go. I love SD and I was waiting for this video! Safe travels, calm seas...
Your quick fix of the starter solonoid (sp) reminded me of one of my Dad's old boats. That is exactly how he would have to start the motor most of the time. He finally bought a rebuilt one and somehow getting going just wasn't the same for him. Great sailing on this video. Delos is so beautiful!
Everything about this vid is excellent! Videography, content, repairs, "Scoth" Wiskey, location, love of life, sharing, loss. . . . . the list is endless
yet another great adventure ends and soon many more news ones just over the horizon....see ya soon - get the starter cleaned up - will miss camilla - sounds like a kewl job she is going too.......good luck and fare winds
Great video. So now I know that the owners of Glenfiddich SCOTH Whisky are also sailing round the world in their huge amazing sailboat. I will buy one of their bottles just out of curiosity and to reminisce about this episode someday :)
Just amazing! You guys bring us things that we would never see! I remember watching Marlin and Jim on Wild Kingdom every Sunday night as a kid in the 70's. Brian, Karin, and Braidster every Friday are way better!!
I'm a simple man. I see a beautiful boat, beautiful women, and amazing underwater footage, I click subscribe. Love the channel guys keep up the good times. I'll see you out there someday! A little dielectric grease on those starter contacts and you won't have to worry about that for awhile. Good for other contacts that are semi exposed as well ;)
I just saw Louise tied up on the waterfront near the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. What a surprise to see her half a world away in your video this morning. You help make the world a smaller place! Safe travels, fair winds!
That' shark was pretty freaking awesome. I only hope that one day I can experience something like that and treasure the experience just like you all do. Your videos help many people in a small way to never stop dreaming. Thank you for showing the world there is a more than one way to live a life.
I love that Grant and 'Louise' competed in the Sydney to Hobart in 2014 - and here they are moseying around the Indian Ocean with bottles of scotch to spare! I think that was a fair trade for a bottle of Delos 3 day-old Scoth!
Very cool seeing the Zebra shark in the wild. I used to dive at the National Aquarium in Baltimore with Zoe, a Zebra shark. She would chill on the bottom and I would lay down facing her and we would just hang out.
Another great video. I would have like to see you sailing on that homemade boat with the old delos sail material. Boy are they ever laid back around that island. Sorry to see the 3 crew leave but I am looking forward to who comes next onboard.
These videos seem to have even more production value than ever! Great job guys! Love SVDelos. Cheers! and another cheers to Brian for fixing that engine starter (wicked smaht)!
Agree. Vagabonde has gotten a little to commercial for my taste and their videos consist of a tiny bit of sailing, Elyna singing for a while, and a slight bit of adventure. Also, they are really short. No recent video has been over 15 minutes. They need to get back to basics.
I never liked it. There are a lot of RUclips channels that are little more than fortunate sons and daughters (generally unaware of their luck of birth), and I find them boring. It is much more interesting to watch a channel like Delos of a guy like Brian who worked for this boat and the opportunity, who struggled--I remember that there was a period in the Philippians (I think) when Delos' motor was out, I remember when they'd take breaks to earn money to keep going. Also, they keep it fresh with new guests. And, as I've said before, they are good eggs, and, as we all know, very good at videography.
For what it's worth... Riley worked in the mining and offshore drilling industries for many years saving up to buy the original La Vagabond. They did hit the genetics jackpot though... sailing-lavagabonde.com/money-money-money/
Word. SLV is not trending in the right direction. And the real work and care that Delos takes is evident. I feel like SLV is trying to outsource that part, to their detriment.
oh! my heart just broke again to see another woman leaving Brady! You, man is the man! You're able to stand this situation again and again!!! I got sooooo much respect on you, Brady!!! God bless you!!!
Hey Delos, Thanks for another awesome vid! I noticed this is the second time(?) you've shown the Bernard Moitessier book, "The Long Way." I finished that book a few months ago and absolutely loved it. Brian, how about a little plug? There was no purer sailor with a deeper understanding and love of the ocean than Moitessier. He has inspired me, and now you have too. Keep it up!
I think that's some of the best underwater video you guys have ever done, absolutely gorgeous! what a dive! Karin, the editing in this one was top notch and just plain cool. I think that's the first time I've ever actually heard a lemur.
that was a great episode! one of my all time favorites I think. the sailing montage after the starter snafu was particularly beautiful. you all just keep seeing the bar higher and higher. thank you and Sail On!
That is amazing! I love Glenfiddich as well as their Balvenie Scotchs! Absolute quality and still family owned which is a big draw for me as a Scotch lover because so many these days are owned by big conglomerates. Great video as always guys and i envy you even more today for getting to meet him!
Friggin dinghy thief! DAMN! Camilla is a cutie, and seems very nice. Hope to see her on Delos again soon. Great underwater footage, great crew and great chemistry. Once in a while you have to break out the BFW, or even the BFH! lol Cheers ya'll!
Enjoyed the guest crew, but there is one thing that really sticks out more than anything. The girls seem to come and go, but not Karin. She is the hot anchor that does not leave !!! So much fun to watch your adventures.
Just such beautiful underwater shots. Glad Breeyan got that engine started. May be time to re-power soon? I converted from diesel to electric propulsion in 2008 and never looked back. Maintenance goes way down fun time goes way up. You might want to look into it. Can't wait for the next video when you catch the dingy thief.
Yay! Smiling! I liked the 'buck-an-ear' joke from a recent post but could not hear - it sounded like there. was another jike. The expression on her companions face was so nice to see as he watched her.
Wow what an unreal experience meeting up with "Grant" and having him come sample your "whiskey"......lol don't worry, I stand corrected as well!! He actually seemed like a pretty decent guy. Grant....If you see this....Hendricks is what I treat, both myself and friends with over the 3-4 months of "cruising" we actually get up here in central Canada on Lake Superior. It's Spectacular!!
Bravo, I have been following awhile never made a comment but that footage/editing is incredible thank you for making this free. love seeing your adventure.
My favorite Delos vids are the ones where Brian has to fix stuff.
Yup. I love those boat maintenance videos as well--and the upgrade videos, like with all new electronics. Very cool!
exactly
Brain in the engine room always gets my motor running.
Its both entertaining and educational!
Just curious, how many hours on the Delos engine anyway?
Best of all the Delos episodes. The music, the people, Brian fixing the boat, the editing… can’t beat it.
lol, 'We found a good place brother'. What a life...
Greg and Chyanne are two of my favorite guests Delos has had...awesome spirits..i'll miss them
Matt Foster Gonna miss them too. Wonderful folks.
Missed the one where he showed how good Gregg fixes things!
Really the best episode yet. Diving, drinking, distilling, sailing, slo-mos, old friends, new friends, saying goodbye and saying hello. World class production. Good on you Delos Crew!
kcmike7 maybe a bit 2 much... just a little bit
Gonna miss Miss Camilla - a ray of sunshine.....:-)

aaaaah Camilla, going to miss that smile.....

Genuine, authentic.
Ooh no Camilla, don't leave us !

@glenn Gutshall, I concur on both of the points!

Karin - that dive off the bow in the intro...me heart's a-flutter (and rather envious of Brian!)
i love that we got to see Camila one more time, she's a lovely girl

Entertaining and as in depth as a holiday program but with more interesting content. Fun to watch as always.

Awesome, you guys just keep getting better and better. This area may be the best in the world for your type of sailing.
I just noticed Delos passed La Vagabonde on Patreon! Well deserved, guys! Nothing beats your fun adventures! Keep up the good work, guys!
Well deserve! Delos Crew is puting mich more effort to The videos than la vagabonde

What a great meetup with the man from Glenfiddich! That is awesome! Grant seems like an awesome guy to know and run into!

Great editing and music! Excellent mix of sailing (the tack shots) and enjoying staying with friends at the bay.
Camilla is beautiful in so many ways. What a gorgeous person. So capable on the boat, and the way she handled a winch, impressive. vi ses senare.

What is it about Madagascar that makes women leave Brady? Lol! Great video guys!

that was a great episode! one of my all time favorites I think. the sailing montage after the starter snafu was particularly beautiful. you all just keep seeing the bar higher and higher. thank you and Sail On!
