HEY RUclips FAMILY! We had such a fun time putting this one together- it's been fun getting to know eachother and becoming a little sailing family. Are you excited to see NAMIBIA or what!?
pumped... spent all day watching your vids... can't wait for whats next. I know you guys have been on the water for a long time. But your time has just began... You guys are really picking up steam it really shows.
Sailing SV Delos Loving the videos!! Can’t wait for you guys to see my country Trinidad and Tobago!! 🇹🇹 have fun be safe and seriously look out for the pirates!
Had a close friend (no longer with us) who would always remark "Awesome!" when something broke. This just continues to keep sweet memories alive for me of a great friendship
I love Miss England Elizabeth as a new crew member, her enthusiasm and energy is so infectious, her personality and her positivity makes the Delos videos come alive!! I love the way she describes her new experiences and translates that so well to us the viewers, through her eyes, I can feel as if I'm there! I find myself wanting to watch more of her on screen and I get excited when she's on. Thanks Ms England!! And yeah, she's incredibly beautiful and camera friendly too.
Oh...... My..... Gosh..... That intro gave me goose bumps. You guys are taking this channel to a whole new level of quality. Just wow.... Keep it up please.....
I think this is the best part, the complete silent out there, only birds and animal life. That should be amazing! As always, an amazing film! (Better than Netflix)
I've many times had the experience of reading a book or watching a video while at 35,000 feet in an airplane when I forgot where I was. I have the same goal while watching SV Delos videos. I want to be on the boat in my mind and forget I'm in my living room. Once again these are my favorite videos "at sea" and cruising. I live on land and have traveled widely. What I miss is long distance cruising. I love seeing the sails full of wind, the wake bubbling behind, and the bow wake. I love seeing you relaxing and enjoying the sunsets. You make my day.
every time I see there is a new Delos video I get that happy feeling. just when I think THAT is the best video, you create an even more fabulous one. thank you for everything you do to entertain us. now I'm going to have to get up early and take my kids to watch a sunrise over my local beach! this past summer I finally saw what the cameras can't show, the green flash during sunset. fair winds Delos crew.
Every time I start watching a Delos video a stupid grin of anticipation hits my face just hearing Onetox's Ramukanji, then the quickening beat of a joyous heart in anticipation of seeing the next chapter in their adventures. Makes my week.
all the new girls look like they are fitting in well, they are all looking confident in front of the camera so should make for some fun videos, keep up the good work I'm loving the longer format.
A simple truth: As a human being, you simply have not lived until you have seen at least one sunrise and one sunset from the deck of a boat at sea out of sight of land. It is a truly moving experience. All-O-Taut-O, sdh in CT
Guys, I've been a fan now for about a year. The quality of your filming and editing the past few episodes has been tremendous....congratulations. I look forward to following your South Atlantic adventure.
People love you guys, I love you guys! People send you money and travel long distances to meet you! You took a beautiful dream that was risky and made it a reality through hard work and kindness to others and offered it to us, I live vicariously through you guys weekly and can only hope to toss back a few with you guys one day and enjoy you in person. Much Love, The Deehan's.
Hey, you guys are great! Thanks for bringing us along with you by making these videos. I disagree with some of the commenters here about the editing. It looks great, but I think it takes away from the immersiveness that your videos achieve. One thing I appreciate about your videos up to this point is that they aren't stylized. Adding that extra sheen of stylized editing makes it feel less realistic to me. I'm one of those viewers who enjoys watching the more basic stuff you guys do... like fixing broken stuff, looking at charts, deciding how to set the sails, and choosing where to anchor.
So great that you inform about sailing condish from africa to south america. Never knew that it's not so hazardous as I would think. If i ever would do that, great videos by you. Pioneers! I will buy you guys a beer. Enjoy your adventures, those meen a lot after a long week and just zoom out and go into delos world. Best of everything
Yeah, every shot with your twin-headsail/twin-pole setup I go a little green with envy. Possibly the best feature on your boat. Every cruiser loves sweet-n-easy downwind legs. Saw that you guys met Cap'n Fatty in Cape Town - laughed at his column a few years back describing his (presumably tongue-in-cheek) theft of a second downwind pole for Ganesh.
The Volvo Ocean race has just set off from Alicante which will keep me glued to my screen for the next eight months.... but Friday will still be the very best day of the week by a long way! Just love your vlogs which take us all with you wherever you go!
Another great video. Hope the musicians get in tune after a bit more ocean going. Interesting that so many things broke down after leaving dock. I guess if things aren't used for even a month or so , the saltwater starts tearing things up. Thanks for the great video and cheers to the new crew. Nothing better to watch than a new crew member catch and fillet a fish.
That's some incredible sunrises! Brian, your fish filleting skills have greatly improved over the years. This is one of the few times I've seen you traveling in fog. Love the all female vibe! Seems like some Huge, cool, fun Personalities. You three know how to pick um .
What beautiful smiles all around. Everyone seems to have their "oars in the water" sharing the sailing duties. Everyone should know how to do everything as soon as possible and it looks as though you are headed that way. Fun watching a new sailor clean their first fish. That's the spirit. Great editing all around. Will definitely watch this one twice.
Good to see you hitting the oceans again... and Namibia (formerly German South-West Africa, where you still find lots of our history). Very nice video rendering. Enjoying it!
Alex's chill attitude shines through and her editing rocks. Lizbef's artsy observations and words have enhanced the journey. Look forward that Austrian bit of joyfulness to breakout in future episodes. Liked the inside look at Mr Brady's way of teasing new crew too, funny stuff! Thank you for sharing.
The sunrise part was absolutely fantastic. I wish to make them my laptop's wallpaper. Each frame was worth capturing. The videos in this season are also coming out better. Hats off to the team.
I would love to spend a season or even just a month sailing some Blue-water, with you Awesome Folks! You have been chilling in my favorite city, Capetown (have not been there since Madiba was the new President and apartheid was crumbling), and doing the one thing I have always wanted to learn, sailing Blue-water. My Father was Navy, but sadly his life was cut short at the young age of 56. So he never got to teach me. He did teach me knot tying and basic jargon/nomenclature of an old clipper ship model he had. I hope you guys never stop, If I can't go sailing, I can live it vicariously through you! Love you guys (and gals) :-)
OK, super off on another voyage of SV Delos, the new crew seem to be fitting in nicely, yeah I know they have to have certain qualities to meld with the establishment, love the videos
DAMN! I'm GREEN with envy. Nice job of capturing the leaving and I could feel the excitement of the crew. Like the new members and their spirit. Wise picks Karen and bros. Ha, kinda nice having the old guy along to do his magic on the repairs. Good format.
Love it! from the video vibe, feels like experiencing it for the first time, again! 4 years without my boat now, feels like I will never get back out. but these Videos make me feel like some day I will make it happen again! cheers !
...the music, the footage & watching these awesome people having the time of their lives...AMAZING! Wishing all the best till the next port. STAY SAFE!
Love my Friday mornings! The Delos crew and my morning brew!! Another great video as always and the editing and effects are stellar, I just might have to buy everyone a beer for this one!
You guys nailed it with that episode. Super chill, whilst always keeping it about the sailing. I loved it! The tunes, the editing and footage.....just amazing. I would love to come and hang with the boys and blow a spliff one day.
Sooo excited for your crossing video! We're crossing from the Canaries in December, first time so we're a bit nervous...maybe we'll catch you guys over there :)
Awsome, just come accross you all whilst stuck at home on lockdown, hope you are all safe, you should book your boat like Airbnb for people to join you and share this incredible experience.
Excellent! Couldn't of timed it better, sat on a train to a damp and miserable London and I get notification of your latest upload...time to forget where I'm heading and watch you guys 👍
Déjà Vu....how great this is.....after Liz’s blogs...to have it relived in vision....and to think that at this stage Liz did not think she would be able to stay on after Namibia! How often did she apologise to the fish!
Loved this video, as usual. It is hard to believe there were 45 guys (up to now) to give it thumbs down. I wonder what it was that these guys desliked about it. On the other hand it feels uncomfortable to read some comments about the girls on the crew as if they were there for some purpose besides just being part of the crew. I like to feel that feminine energy in the boat. I am looking forward to watching the next video. You are all fantastic. Thank you for sharing.
Okay, gotta note the uptick or two in the cinematography, not that the previous wasn't awesome to start, but the new talent from the "girl crew" is awesome. Great edit, btw, Alex!! Liz-bef apologizing to the fish was funny. Can't wait for more Namibia. Dam, gotta wait another week.
Hey Timothy! Thanks so much for dropping us a line and sharing your thoughts. Can't think of a more fun project to shoot and edit so I am glad you are enjoying. Much love to you! ~alex
So cool....SV Delos, i watch brazilian youtubers and was amazing to see you guys too, was so fun, i hope do you having a really nice time here, waiting for your point of view side of our country. Greetings and good winds !!!
Oh my, Brian, I LOVE the Alex Rust "AHOY!" shirt!!! Where can I obtain one? I also noticed, on the new intro, y'all have added some more flag stickers to the transom of Delos. And Mr. Brady has added, what looks like Swallows, to his Neptune ink! So flippin sweet!

What's Up DELOS crew! All this new journey brings me into a wild delight, and especially the fact that you guys finally go to the island of Klein Curaçao! Remember I wrote to you about this wonderful and not inhabited islet near (15 km to the south-east) from Curaçao. Good luck and meet you at Klein Curaçao! Hundred meters under the keel, and a bottle of Rum on the helm!
Yay visit the Caribbean its a beautiful place. We took some hard hits from hurricane Irma and Maria this year but we are strong and still amazing. p.s look for Saba in the Northern Leeward Islands. You guys are great!
HEY RUclips FAMILY! We had such a fun time putting this one together- it's been fun getting to know eachother and becoming a little sailing family. Are you excited to see NAMIBIA or what!?
Hell yeah! I want to see. But why not Cape Hoorn?

Love how calm Brian is when stuff breaks.... 'Always somethin...'
yep....that's the best way to tell how a person really is....when you get to see them react to an issue.
Had a close friend (no longer with us) who would always remark "Awesome!" when something broke. This just continues to keep sweet memories alive for me of a great friendship
Well Brian was a Software dev for a long time. We tend to be veeery used to stuff breaking all the time lol. Makes you resistent to frustration.
There is no choice but to keep calm. That and poor some moonshine! Haha!
@@svdelos this is why SV Delos is so Successful.. Fair winds guys!
Came back 3 years later to re binge-watch the South Africa->Brazil stretch, some of the best episodes!!
hahaha bro same, it's the Madagascar to South Africa voyage for me though lol
Same here. Best crew editing and stories
@@joelabelle9742 love all of them. rewatching for the second time as well
Never get tired of the Delos Crew. I am 66 and if I were 20 I would be there. Love the ocean and beaches and adventure. Love yall

You had the best videos on RUclips already and they just keep getting BETTER!!!
Wow thanks David! What an awesome compliment!
epic video. It is great to see you guys back at sea.
Nice editing style Alex! I like a lot!
Nice yellowtail👏 and it’s the ❤️ you have to eat, for your first catch. Yellowtail and bluefin tuna is the best tasting 🐠 my opinion
Has to be one of the best sunrise I’ve ever seen!
The video making gets better and better ever time!
Love what your doing. Stay safe an never give up what you have..
Thanks, Calvin! We promise we wont!
