@@itsnowornever6119 I went to Attelia in Antalya on the coast. I had two sinus lifts (very violent) three extractions, seven implants over three bone grafts and hundreds of stitches. They are crowing every tooth, maybe a couple of small bridges. The initial quote was 9.000 euros +/- (6000 first trip then 3000 second) then when I got there it was 12000 euros, 8+4 and I wasn't prepared as I am retired and my mother had to help me pay so I struggled to make it up. I am very happy with the permanent crowns on the bottom 3/4 but the temporary top ones are exactly what I didn't want, too square and artificial but there again the majority of people going there want the Instagram smile, so fake. I am struggling with the hundred of so stitches that are coming undone, not yet fallen out and the top teeth were very 'tight' for the first ten days, now are better. The clinic was great and the people were nice. I am happy it is over, now saving for the next trip ! Are you pleased with your experience ?
Mine was not painful at all. Had 2 implants done and it took 15 minutes at the most. No swelling afterwards and very little pain medicine. Took pain pill while mouth was still numb. Used novacaine and nitrous oxide only. No sedation needed.
@@zaraisrael7710just got 2 post in last week.. only thing I would say is a headache after the process caused by my own nervousness and tensing jaw the entire procedure. You don't have nerves in your jaw bone only the gums around it is what you can feel if the dentist hits a hot spot and even that's just a little pinch. The dentist will numb the hot spot and simply get back to the surgery. Id say on a scale of 1-10 for pain rating id give the procedure a 2. No worries
@@JamesSoho hi, I had a bone graft back in Dec. the implants were placed last week. My dentist used the existing bone with the healed bone graft to push up on my sinus for the sinus lift. I had a follow up today and asked how far into the sinus the implants went and he said 1 maybe 2 mm. He said the membrane will heal over, so I asked about the bone. He said it will too (but I've heard other dentists say some bone might, but it's not typical). Since I'm healing well he feels I'm going to be ok. I have another follow up in 2 weeks. I guess we wait and see. God is good, I'm healing wonderfully. Thanks for asking 🙂

If you develop complications due to the implants. You will see dentist here in the states. They will want to know who did the implants. Once you tell them you had it done outside the country. They won’t touch you. Other countries don’t have the same standards for implant materials. Or require the same training we do in the United States. You have know idea at all what materials were used. Where the dentist was trained. There is reason dentists in the US warn you not to do this. Regular dentures made by qualified dentist in the states work for me. I can’t believe the nutty things people do to avoid taking their teeth out at night. I hope and pray you don’t have any problems. 🙏🙏
You're absolutely wrong 😅😅😅 The currency difference is huge that you can do implants with doctors best of the best in any developing country and no worry about materials If something goes wrong just come back it's just much cheaper
Since I would be asleep during the procedure. I won't know what materials were used. How about their training if I don't like their training. Cancel my flight to the foreign country. Will the dentist cover the money I spent to come?? No of course they won't. Do you work for one of these dental tourism companies?? You awfully good at the sales pitch.
@@angelaschaefer5883absolutely not true first of all they have way better technology than USA they have laser healing therapy plus no gum cutting no bleeding and they give you antibiotics and yes usa dentist will still see you what does that have to do with anything stop spreading lies
I really like that you follow up a few days after the surgery because you’re absolutely right I was so nervous about the surgery. I didn’t hear any of the aftercare information. They relay it to the person that was with me, but the person that was with me wasn’t with me for several days either they weren’t taking care of me, so I had no idea what was normal and what wasn’t I had a bunch of questions I read the paperwork that they gave me, but I had it at very large amount of swelling, bruising pain and I also had an allergic reaction to something and had to give myself EpiPen and nobody called me back from the emergency line. This is not your office. This is another state nothing to do with you or your practice so anybody looking to go to this doctor I’m just saying what he’s doing having people follow up a few days after the surgery is really really good and I think that would’ve been very helpful for me and reassuring to me that the amount of pain I was in was OK I am 10 days out and I do not like how the prosthesis fits or feels it’s huge and I’m not adjusting well to it , it’s a temporary but it’s four months and the way it’s driving me crazy every day with how it feels like I’m wearing ill fitting dentures on the top of my mouth and they just wanna tell me that it’s all fine but I spent $35,000 just for the top and it doesn’t feel good at all. I thought that they would feel like my own teeth , there’s a gap between that. Every time I drink fluid goes through the whole thing Food gets up there I’m only eating liquids and it’s like larger than an inch deep covering my pallet.
They are not going to feel like natural teeth. You lost your teeth just like I did. So now they placed the implants. You will get use to them. Much faster then I will with traditional dentures. You will be eat things that I can't. It will get better but it is going to take time. I hope you feel better soon.
@@angelaschaefer5883 I am 40 and I had all my teeth top pulled for the implants. I wasn’t only missing 2 molars. No I’m still not used to them. I hate them they feel terrible. Every time I eat anything food gets underneath them every single time I eat I have to get the water pic out right after I’m done because how it feels. So I’m going to have to carry it with me to restaurants and the movies, wherever I go. There’s pain in one of the implants it’s the same kind of pain that you get when you have something that’s too hot or too cold when you need a root canal on a tooth and it’s taking me three months of telling them that they’re finally gonna look at it in a couple weeks and try to figure out what’s wrong, the teeth that they showed me during the sales pitch are 1/3 the size of the final teeth that they want to give me. I am still in the awful temporary teeth. That the evil sales lady told menopause could use for two years! They show you one set of teeth and all it is are teeth. So they lie they are frauds this is Clear Choice Dental implant center. At my last appointment the dr daid that there is no way they can be just the size of the teeth they never do that snd it’s impossible! So right then I went back into the office of the sales person and asked her to see the teeth that she showed me and mine are 3 times the size. I told her that what they’re doing is wrong lying to people. They’re telling people they’re gonna have these teeth beautiful teeth that are just taking up the size of their teeth that they already have do, but instead they’re 3 times the size and take up part of the roof of your mouth. You can see my gums when I smile my real gums you can see where the appliance ends when I smile!. It should not be visible other people that I’ve met in the waiting room have complained to me about the same thing and worse! One lady said the surgeon damaged her nerve and now she cant eat right and she is drooling. She said its like after you get numb during a cavity snd then after cant safely chew because you’re numb. While it may be better than dentures, I didn’t need dentures, I wanted to get the implants so that I wouldn’t have to keep spending thousands of dollars because dental work is so expensive these days and I’ve spent over $50k just to be told every year I need more and more work. So it may be better than dentures but I had teeth and I feel for people who do not because it just sucks this whole dental system sucks people wouldn’t need to get dentures in most cases if dental care wasn’t so expensive in the first place. Its way too expensive and they say everybody needs to get so much work done but they also do work on people when they didnt even have cavities they tell them that they do just so they can make more money while ruining our teeth. I’ve had that happen many times they’re like no it’s fine fraud you have to be careful and do lots of research as i know you did. I looked in this place and it had good reviews a couple complaints overall good and I thought because I paid so much money it was gonna be awesome and it’s been terrible. My recovery has not been easy and the whole experience it has been terrible. Honestly, I would never recommend it, unless you don’t have a choice and you have dentures. The other customers I’ve met there we all say the same thing once they have your money they don’t care one bit shout you. I’m 34 and I’ve only had one tooth that has caused me any problems in my life. Cracked it, got a root canal. Two years later, the crown and screw literally fell out of my face. I went to an oral surgeon and got what was left of my destroyed tooth pulled. When they pulled it, they gave me a bone graft. I’m not sure if anybody is familiar with this process, but the oral surgeon disappeared out of the room and walked back in with a hammer and about an 8” chisel and said, “Now I’m gunna need you to relax.” Luckily I was on Mars, sucking down nitrous like a fiend. But he literally gave me a good 20 hammer blows to the jawbone. Obviously I was numbed up, but the pressure was immense. Then he took this tool with a small, smooth round ball at the end and he literally used his body weight to lean the graft against my jaw. Again, I thought my jawbone was going to snap. I could feel it bending. Lol. Absolutely dreadful experience. It ended up costing thousands upon thousands of dollars, and 3 months after the end of a 2+ year process, I go for a follow up and the oral surgeon takes a CAT scan and shows me that my dentist never screwed the crown far enough into the implant. Wtf!! The dentist grinded the crown down a ways, too. I wondered because my bite had changed somewhat. So the other day I go back to the dentist and he goes, “Oh, that’s too bad. You’re gunna have to buy a new crown.” I was like, “Uhh, you mean you’re going to have to buy me a new crown? I’m almost $10,000 deep with this ONE TOOTH!” I paid him over $2000 for the root canal and crown that failed in 2 years and I paid him well over $1500 for impressions and this implant crown that he failed to properly secure. The oral surgeon visits and procedures cost me $7000. Dentist is a real nice guy, but this entire process has been a mental and financial NIGHTMARE.
I almost cry when you mentioned the dentist came into the room with a hammer. It is crucial to source the right dentist. I will spend day and night to read all the reviews on Google recommended dentists before choosing the final one.
Uhhh, that dentist is NOT "a nice guy"!!! 😟 Just because he may have spoken to you with a nice tone of voice doesn't make him "nice." Don't give him any more your money and stay away from him.😐
Where did you get this done the set of loonytons? I have had bone graft and a dental implants because my face got smashed and it was nothing like that at all
Question: over 5 weeks ago I had a zirconia implant removed. I was failing and it needed to come. I had a skilled surgeon remove it by carefully working the bone to free it up and twist out. It was in the lower left side 2nd molar area. I’m still having pain and throbbing in the area. It comes and goes. My surgeon tells me it’s the healing process with the bone filling in. I’ve had the opposing root canaled upper molar removed and never went through this kind of pain. The gums look great it’s what’s going on inside. What could the issue be that I’m having? He said he got all the implant. It was given back to me. A few thread are fragmented but that would have been sucked out. I had a panoramic x ray and it showed nothing. He’s going to do a CBCT Scan in about 3 weeks to check the bone. Some days are good and some days are very uncomfortable. Nothing seems to be swollen or infected either. I was told that the implant removal is different than a tooth. If the jaw bone was fractured in anyway, I’m sure the pain would be alot worse? Will know is that I’d never go down this route again! Never! Can you pls give your expert advice on this? Much appreciated! Ty:)
I am anxious reading this. I started to get get implants. The two teeth had root canals before. I am clean always go to dentist. I am always having dental problems. Everyone is telling me all kinds of horror stories. From Alzheimer's to death.
Ya people think because they feel ok body wise they can go to the gym or clean the house. I think we need at least a week to recover from the main bits.
On day five after two implants put into my lower jaw. The pain is severe and excruciating and after five days of no sleep my surgeon is going to take a look at it. It might be infected. :-(
Wow 5 days of no sleep? What happened? It might have hit the sinus. Are you sure you took all the meds - oxycodone, amox, medical rinse, ibuprofen, etc? My problem was opposite -- I am always sleepy. My implant and graft were last Thursday.
I only had one, and didn’t have any pain after the first day. So I’m very worried for you lol. I hope all is well, considering you’ve had one month now.
Sounds like he didnt see the nerve in the CT scan.. or you didnt get the CT scan and just opted for xrays... Always get a CT scan so they have a good visual of whats where...
@@craigslistrro709I got CT scans and all of the works. Both implants got severely infected and no matter what antibiotics we tried including doxycycline for 22 days, all of it had to be taken out. My teeth keep breaking. I haven’t had a cavity in years, but my teeth are just breaking no matter what I do. I go for cleanings every 3 months, brush an floss twice a day, use perio trays. I’m at around 45k that I’ve spent on my teeth, 6 crowns and 2 implants. It hasn’t been a fun journey 😢

Is it normal to have swelling on one side of the cheeks and antibiotics (amox 500mg) for 3 times a day for 10 days is that standard and normal or is it too much?
I had 2 implants placed last week and one side needed a partial bone graft. 2 days following the surgery I suddenly had the area in my cheek under my eye near my nose swell up like a balloon. I immediately applied ice and it went down but has been swollen and numb ever since and I just feel sick. I have been taking the antibiotics and ibuprofen but it was pretty upsetting. I saw the periodontist today and he did an xray and said he didn't see any problem but put me on a medrol pack. The sutures wen up my gum much higher than expected and he said he had to "stretch tissue". I am sitll very wary about the whole thing. He said the numbness could be a nerve being compressed from swelling but I''m wondering if a nerve could have had trauma? I had a regular bone graft after tooth extraction with another periodontist a few years ago with no issues.
I am 28 days out with having the initial post put in for an implant on #28. I was not told half of the things "not to do". After being told that the worst would be day 4 or 5 I was looking forward to some relief. It didn't happen. I am allergic to most pain meds and could only take Tylenol and Ibuprofen. I took so many that it is a wonder I haven't damaged my kidneys and liver. I haven't had anything for pain in about 5 days but an occasional Tylenol but I still have what I am now calling discomfort. Especially when I eat or drink. I am still eating on one side. The site looks like a dark red bubble where the implant was put in. Is this right?

4 months after tooth extraction of #7 and 8 due to resorbtion i had the implants placed. The doc said one week follow up appt that there is abnormal swelling. He told me to make sure i am brushing the area. Is this a concern of the swelling. He removed the remaining stitches and i have been brushing the area 3x a day. Thoughts? concerns?
Normal. Will be fine, just try not to do it as much as you would like. I had an upper arch done with snap-in dentures and even smoked...yeah, worst move, and took months to heal but it all worked out because the work and care were quality. If they put junk in or not a good doc.. not much you can do and tongue or not will fail..
I just had a healing cap put on my implant and now my bite is completely off. I only feel the healing cap when I bite down, I don't feel any of my teeth. I called my dentist and was given a run around and told she is a specialist that only comes in once a month and to call back at that time. Should I wait this long or see someone else. What kind of damage can this cause?
I couldn’t take my antibiotics. I told the clinic I have never been able,to take meds as I can’t swallow them, they still gave me huge pills so I never took them. Now my mouth tastes vile and putrid. I had surgery 7 days ago
So you're complaining because of "the size" of the tablets to swallow when the antibiotics can save your while implants making it last rather than getting infected or something else..? 🤔
You’ll probably have gum disease and won’t qualify for implants. You need healthy gums and bone for the implant to stay in place. There’s nicotine in dip and just as bad as smoking when it comes to oral health. You can try to get implants but there’s a high chance they’ll fail.

I smoke Pipe Tobaccos and Cigars. With these, you do (NOT) inhale into the lungs 🫁. But I’ve checked other recommendations, they say not to smoke for 2-7 months after. That sounds like ludicrous, considering most research on smoking is only what docs know from cigarettes and not pipe/cigar.
Smoking reduces healing capacity and causes infections. You'd have to quit. I quit 3 months ago myself. If you want any type of major dental work you can't smoke
If it’s only implant is fine don’t worry, nothing hurts during the procedure you just feel pressure while they drill the little hole, pain is manageable with medication and there is a bit of swelling, but trust me a toothache is 10 times worst then a implant. Most important is the way you follow aftercare instructions
I had mine done last week. No pain afterwards and no swelling. 2 implants took less than 20 minutes to do. Used novacaine and nitrous oxide only. No sedation. Took pain pill before numbness wore off and ate 2 bowls of ice cream 2 hours after the procedure. 😅 You will be fine. The anticipation is the worst of it. The actual procedure is painless. Come back and tell us how it went. 😊

Omg I just had this yesterday...
Thank you🙏🏽❤️ I just got surgery yesterday
How did it go? Were you in a lot of pain? I get mine in September and I’m really nervous
Mine was not painful at all. Had 2 implants done and it took 15 minutes at the most. No swelling afterwards and very little pain medicine. Took pain pill while mouth was still numb. Ate 2 bowls of ice cream within 2 hours of having it done. I too was nervous, but come to find out my mind was the problem...not the procedure. Would do again in a heartbeat.
No worries
Lucky! Good luck ! xxxx

How you doing now? Didnt you get a sinus lift, before implants?

12 implants and 24 crowns ( full mouth ) in Istanbul Turkey for $6400 usd
If you develop complications due to the implants. You will see dentist here in the states. They will want to know who did the implants. Once you tell them you had it done outside the country. They won’t touch you. Other countries don’t have the same standards for implant materials. Or require the same training we do in the United States. You have know idea at all what materials were used. Where the dentist was trained. There is reason dentists in the US warn you not to do this. Regular dentures made by qualified dentist in the states work for me. I can’t believe the nutty things people do to avoid taking their teeth out at night. I hope and pray you don’t have any problems. 🙏🙏
@@angelaschaefer5883Why wouldn't they touch you? Are you a dentist?
You're absolutely wrong 😅😅😅
The currency difference is huge that you can do implants with doctors best of the best in any developing country and no worry about materials
If something goes wrong just come back it's just much cheaper
I am writing a reviews and will make sure it’s in all the sites i can because they shouldn’t be allowed to do this.

Same thing man. I gotta pay for this somehow

Ty:)

What happens if the graft fails - too soft to screw in an implant?
Is this about single implants or all on 4?

After being told that the worst would be day 4 or 5 I was looking forward to some relief. It didn't happen. I am allergic to most pain meds and could only take Tylenol and Ibuprofen. I took so many that it is a wonder I haven't damaged my kidneys and liver. I haven't had anything for pain in about 5 days but an occasional Tylenol but I still have what I am now calling discomfort. What happens if someone is addicted to "dip"?
You’ll probably have gum disease and won’t qualify for implants. You need healthy gums and bone for the implant to stay in place. There’s nicotine in dip and just as bad as smoking when it comes to oral health. You can try to get implants but there’s a high chance they’ll fail.

If it’s only implant is fine don’t worry, nothing hurts during the procedure you just feel pressure while they drill the little hole, pain is manageable with medication and there is a bit of swelling, but trust me a toothache is 10 times worst then a implant.
