My uncle Bobby came to town and he always grabbed me and my cousin and took us to see a movie. He loved movies and passed the gene onto me. We hopped into his truck and rushed over to see the big new film, E.T. but the line wrapped around the cinema and all showings were sold out. Dejected, we looked at what else was playing and some film called “The Road Warrior”. The poster had a big rig in the middle with a crossbow arm and an arm with a gun on both sides, vague but interesting so we go to see that showing. A few minutes into the film, we all look at each other and say, “Mad Max!!!” We had seen Mad Max on HBO many times and had no idea there was a sequel. We sat there in awe of the whole film. Afterwards, we looked at our uncle and he smiled and we went to the concession for more popcorn and candy and soda and snuck back in to see it again. Core memories. You were the best, Uncle Bobby.
RIP Tina this is one of my favorite songs and one of my favorite movies. You are an Icon and will live forever in our hearts minds and the airwaves you won't be missed because you will always be with us

These movies are definitely one of those movies as a kid from the 90s, that was always on TV but I never really understood what they were about, just the fact that they were a bunch of large trucks in the desert with a bunch of weirdo looking guys chasing each other. As an adult now, I'm rewatching these and going holy moly, I can't believe that I'm just now getting into them! Complete testosterone level turned up to 11, and the stunts beat the hell out of anything done today, including even the newer mad max

MM3 shouldn’t have been made, but I’m glad it was. The chase scene seems like it was from a different movie. I know George’s close friend died doing location shoots, and that’s what the movie is know as. A split movie.
