I'd sure love to see part 2 of this! The anticipation of seeing what has become of these trays in 2 months is nail biting, lol. Surely you must be eating radishes by now :-)
Thank you! Just sharing the experience ive acquired over time. Small things put back to back do make all the difference when it comes to gardening! Ive got a lot more coming this season!
@@ThePlantCharmer hmmn no updates yet. Waiting for updates. Growing season is coming up for me now. I am in india I was hoping to see results and how to fertilize them .
Greetings from India! I had put a reminder to see your video when you made the announcement 15 days ago. Brilliant experiment. When should we expect the second part though. Lot of suspense here :0
Thank for your good words brother! Second part is gonna be in 2 weeks once the plant have germinated. No worries ill take you through the whole process step by step! Stay safe!
ThePlantCharmer in that case i have some onion seeds and 2" cavity trays that i will put. Doing hydroponically so will bottom water twice a day with fertilizer.
Im making part 2 soon. Its been cold so slow germination but for the first month we will add plain water to the tray as our plants have fertilizer in the medium already. In future videos ill show you how to make an organic nutrient tea so you can bottom feed by filling the trays
Hii, Just one query... Can beet roots be grown in layers using plug trays... Stacking them at a 2ft distance apart vertically where there is ample sunlight full day in a small greenhouse of 15ft height.
I wondering, did you lose all your seeds when you tried to wet that desert of Pete ? Yes this works, I’ve been doing radish like this for the past 8ys. But at least i wet my mix before putting in seeds.😂
I would like to see your beet seed , I've been planting beets for years and one seed grows one beet..... as soon as you said "they were a cluster of seeds and your going to have to thin them out" , I stopped watching...... I never had multiple beets grow out of one seed
@@gawsrocks He clearly said cluster of seeds.... every pack of seeds i have gotten, contains single seeds and have never grown multiples out of one seed
A beet seed generally contains 2-3 embryo. You may have gotten monogerm seed or just got lucky with seed that had a bad germination rate. From Johnny’s seeds website “A typical beet seed can contain 2-3 embryos, which results in clumping. Monogerm beet seeds contain only one embryo. This feature eliminates thinning and results in superior uniformity” I can quote as many reputable sources and universities as you would like
Never had a seed like that in my life, it must be a European thing, glad we only get one growing out of one seed, that would be a pain in the ass to thin them out, but i will do rsearch on this multiple growing seed and see if it is a common thing or a rare mutation

Hi! Just wondering if we can expect part 2 anytime soon? Interested to see how your veggies turned out in the plug trays.
Yes coming soon its been pretty cold so germination has been slow! Its warming up now so things should pick up!

Too much talks
Pics are not clear
And camera man don’t know his job
And you also don’t know what to teach and how to teach
Sorry
As read from the beet root farming guide, it can also be grown in shade.. So vertical layer farming may look feasible. Pls suggest

Hi buddy,
Waiting for the update on the sowing. Have been eagerly waiting to see the success. Cheers
Did you use all the water in the trays or do you dump out the water after like half an hour great video
Hi Khaled please update us with part 2. I’m dying to see how it did.
What type of fertilizer are you using with this
Saved it for next year
I saw the picture of the turnips growing in the 1020 tray above the soil line. How do u get them to grow on top of the soil?
Plant them shallow, they will push themselves out of the soil
nice
Thank you!
Awesome videos just wondering are plug trays same as cell trays
Thank you! Yes theyre the same plug tray is a term most used in the industry guess
How did these do?
Hi, checking up on part two?
I’ve uploaded it 2 days ago forgive me for the delay
Do you keep adding water to the no drip tray or do you start to add a liquid fertiliser to the water?

You could try it out but my view on it is they need good sun to achieve good size. Check out my A frame systems i grow beets vertically in those
8 months, was there any success?

I used actual monogerm beet which is a recent innovation in beet seed
