Wallace Allen 31 8 1980

On 31 August in 1980 IRA terrorists murdered Wallace Allen, 49. Married father of 2. Department of Envirnoment Inspector, Off duty RUCR (Reserve policeman) abducted on a milk delivery round which he covered 1 in 3 weeks, South Armagh, Northern Ireland.
IRA left a 100 lb bomb in a creamery can and it exploded on his lorry.
Mr Allen`s wife begged for her husband`s release. His body was discovered at an embankment by a 12 year old child on 12/9/80, Trainor`s Bridge, Northern Ireland, yards from the Monaghan border, with the Republic of Ireland.
