honestly the alola games are infinitely harder than platnuim. people that say new gens are easy are just hateful, bitter gen 1ers that hate poeple enjoying new pokemon content
Sinnoh is definitely easier than alola in a lot of places (especially major battles before the legendaries) but the finales depend on version & team. In terms of Aether finales SuMo is NASTY compared to basically the entirety of Sword & Shield due to Mother Beast since lusamine's whole team gets ultra aura boosts but USUM's Ultra Necrozma can be over in 2 minutes thanks to wimpod's isolated static spawns resulting in very easy Golisopod access in both regular runs & nuzlocke runs and First Impression hits first turn before U.Necrozma can move (from experience golisopod can easily OHKO/almost OHKO it without boosts or crits). Alola's champion battles meanwhile... kukui has 3 crippling weaknesses (ground is the biggest) and very little if any coverage in favour of "i can stealth rock you to death" while hau's team is literally the team youve been fighting the entire game... Cynthia wins that comparison

Do you use rng manipulation? I've recently gotten into shiny hunting and when you said you were 2x over odds after 1.5 hours of searching doesn't make sense to me. I've caught 30 shinies on gen 6 and it usually takes me about 3-10 hours to get to full odds depending on the method. Or is it really that easy on earlier gens? (I also noticed it looks like the gameplay is in 2x or 3x speed?) Btw I'm just getting back into pokemon after like 10 years of not playing + I've only ever played gen 6 and 7 so idk much about other gens
