I eventually transferred her up into Omega Ruby and she dominated all ranks of the Cuteness contests in Hoenn, too! She is now officially retired from contests and resides safely in my copy of Pokémon Shield! I've had her for so many years and she's my most prized Pokémon I own!

I think you could avoid the Lopunny sack by just using the Drain Punch over Dizzy Punch hoping for a confusion that was not guaranteed, so quite the mistake and not sure what was going on with Giratina fainting, but overall great job. I love all the Pokémon you caught, they are awesome Pokémon, you made great picks which I enjoyed.
I'm not gunna say this video is faked, but if a pokemon is shiny, it would stay shiny in the evolution scene. The monferno shown is not pink, but rather the orange of a normal monferno. Correct me if I'm wrong please.
You are correct, it's possible maybe he went and recorded that segment with a non shiny because he didn't record it originally and just did it so there was something on screen. But only he really knows.

It seems more plausible that someone who is cheating would have the means to make sure an error like that wouldn't happen. Because it did happen I'm leaning more towards the possibility of the video being legit.
I believe it is fake, (atleast the chimchar) the rivals starter at the beginning is female, which is not possible because the gender of their pokémon is hardcoded into the game and not based on chance. The rivals starter will always be male unless you force your own starter to be shiny. You can also notice that the rival's starter changes to a male at the next battle.
Brother, “took over 100 hours” is one heck of an understatement. It took over a month to complete the run on top of editing. Very well done. On a side note, I’m surprised Gyarados can roll over the elite 4 like that
I love finding shinies but I'll never specifically hunt them, especially in older titles. Way too much work for a payoff that, while novel, isn't especially worth it imo. This definitely creates an interesting dynamic in the context of a Nuzlocke though, since your control over your encounters is just as low as normal, but unless you're willing to spend tens of hours hunting shinies you'll get significantly less encounters than normal.
Wasn’t a huge fan of how you handled that cynthia fight (could’ve saved gyaradaos and giratina by switching in loppuny to eat shadow ball) but I have to admire the patience you had in this run and I understand that it was the last fight so it didn’t matter anyways. Great vid!

They should make a Pokemon game where all Pokemon are accessible from every region and the roles are flipped majority of the Pokemon are shiny and the shiny ods in regular games are the odds to catch a normal Pokemon.
Craziest Pokemon story I have. Pokemon emerald I saved and then encountered a shiny shuppet. I was a kid and thought my game boy was having a glitch and so I turned the game off. Turned it back on and encountered ANOTHER shiny shuppet. Which unfortunately confirmed my “game boy is glitched” theory. So naturally I turned the game off again. It took until 2016 before I found another shiny Pokemon. I called it the shiny curse.
Great video man, pokemon platinum is really fun. I started a new run too a while ago and a few days ago I was battling Giratina and I couldn't catch it for the life of me. After about like 10 resets because he killed himself every time, I battle him again and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a shiny fuckin Giratina. I immediately threw a masterball no questions asked and I was shaking because sometimes my game freezes on its own and the dialogue was too fucking much and all I wanted to do was save. At the end I saved the game and searched the odds up, 1/8000 and about 70 hours for one. That's probably the luckiest I will ever get in Pokemon. From all my time I have played this game from emerald to the new games I have gotten a legitimate shiny ONCE. Insane luck and something that's engraved in my core memory forever.
Nice Nuzlocke run. Minor nitpick, but Neptune was an odd one out in terms of nicknames. All the others were from the Greek Pantheon, while Neptune is the Roman counterpart of Poseidon.

At the end I saved the game and searched the odds up, 1/8000 and about 70 hours for one. That's probably the luckiest I will ever get in Pokemon. From all my time I have played this game from emerald to the new games I have gotten a legitimate shiny ONCE. Insane luck and something that's engraved in my core memory forever.
9:58 Why not put Grass Knot on Starter? Whenever I took Chimchar, I would put Grass Knot on it to pown the Water Starter 😂😂😂

Nice Nuzlocke run. Minor nitpick, but Neptune was an odd one out in terms of nicknames. All the others were from the Greek Pantheon, while Neptune is the Roman counterpart of Poseidon.
Yea it is honestly but I just think neptune sounds cooler
and it's easier to say in the audio
