This is my favorite . Best line to me is "The world is full of Kings and Queens who blind your eyes and steal your dreams".
Happens every day in Washington DC
In our world those kings and queens are in congress 😳
Always has been
Sounds like the democrats
@@timmartin3796 Nah I'd say the side that steals dreams is the one that forces little girls to give birth to rape babies (republicans) but really its all of them.
I haven't heard this song in about 15 years, but when it started playing I found myself singing every word from memory. That's just how great the song is.
This song come from heaven...
15 Years ? Kidding ? From 1980 -today 2022 more than 4 Times in month , my first Song playing on Bass- Guitar
true
How can you stay 15 years without listening to it, man?!!! 😂
Children of the Sea. Great song of this album.
This is high school rock for me.
I was 10 when I heard the self titled debut album from Sabbath...even then, in 1970, I knew I was going to be a rocker for life...I eventually became an FM radio jock, and my favorite station to work at was a classic rock station...right in my wheelhouse, and for 30 years, I played rock and roll to the multitude of listeners who knew the music front to back, and new converts to classic rock, "wow you guys had great bands back then" was one of my favorite drops, from listeners...that's why I'm drawn to these reaction video's especially the rock I grew up with, just to vicariously re-enjoy watching someone else discovering "our" music...hey...Rock ON!!!
Ronnie stated in numerous interviews that this was the best song he ever wrote he also stated that the song is about the ability of each human being to choose between doing good and doing evil; essentially, that each person has "heaven and hell" inside themselves.
Free will is both a gift and a curse. Even the angels don’t have free will. Only humans and God.
That actually is my favourite Dio-era Sabbath song. It’s absolutely incredible.
Others: “I”, “Children of the Sea”, “The Mob Rules”, “Sign of the Southern Cross”.
Ooohhh, I is one of my favorite later era Dio Sabbath tunes!
Sign of the Southern Cross, the Mob Rules, and Children of the sea. The first two songs are off the Mob Rules album
Totally agree also add this one is top 5 and I would also add Neon Knights and underrated Lonely is the Word.
Dio said this song was the best song he ever wrote. I agree with him 100%🤘🤘
Love the whole album, every song a masterpiece !
Tony Iommi is the undisputed heavyweight riff master of this world!! Has been for over 50 years and no one has touched him since. LEGEND!!!
Imo probably Black Sabbaths greatest album right here. Best lead vocalist turnover in history. I love me some Ozzy, But Dio just had something that no one else ever had, before or since. Miss you Ronnie.
*RAINBOW - Stargazer* .. is truly DIO's best song. .. EPIC SONG!
All time classic with amazing music and deep lyrics. The rolling bass line is lit
Nobody bleeds for the Dancer!
Watch out for those Queens and Kings..
My favorite Dio lyric, " the world is full of kings and queens who blind your eyes and steal your dreams, it's heaven and hell.". My favorite Dio song ever is "Last In Line."
So true..so true
Yes, mine too!!
Neon Knights is my favorite from the Ronnie James Dio era.
We didn't deserve Ronnie James Dio, this song is beautiful
I honestly don't have a clue what do you mean with your comment... seriously!!!
I know it's been a couple years since you reviewed this, but....This track still makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck... it's great to see other generations jam to this tune as well...🤘🏻
The Godfather of Heavy riffs knuckles you out on solos with two missing fingertips like there's no tomorrow! Mr. Tony Iommi....
"Die Young" from the Era of RJD in Black Sabbath 🤟😎
Cool reaction män.
Cheers from Finland 🇫🇮 🥶 💯 💙
I like ur style as an old white Bloke. Great band and singist. USA meets England in heavy metal heaven!
Singist! I like it!!
@@crusheverything4449 Lol.. It comes from The fact that I call Skin beaters Drummists
They're all GREAT but "Children of the Sea" ,"E5150-the MOB RULES", "Sign of the Southern Cross"🤘😈
lonely is the word
Yes!
Yes! Featuring Tony’s favorite solo of his and mine, as well!
HERMAMO CHECK BLACK SABBATH, DIO🔥NEON KNIGHTS🔥GREAT SHOW 🎧 ✔ PECE AND LOVE FROM PUERTO RICO 🇵🇷 TO ALL 🌍🌏🌎✌🎼🎩🎸🎶🎶☮
Favorite Dio era Sabbath - "Sign of the Southern Cross", "I", "Lonely is the Word", "Children of the Sea" - "Bible Black" (but under Heaven & Hell - still Sabbath)
Any real sabbath fan knows this isn't sabbath always loved dio but he's not ozzy simple as that
@@kevinsteadman7215 might have been better if they came up with the Heaven & Hell name earlier in their career, but you can't deny that the Dio era with BS wasn't outstanding.
I LOVE Lonely is the Word! That outro solo is AMAZING!
Cool reaction. "Falling Off the Edge of the World" from Dio era Sabbath is a masterpiece as well if you'd like to check it out. Cheers.
My very first ever favorite Metal song was The Mob Rules, featured in the totally rad movie Heavy Metal in 1981 when I was 15.
Great movie!
Falling off the edge of the world
"Die Young" is a must track.....
Too Late, from the Dehumanizer album. Die Young from H&H, and Over and Over from Mob Rules.
" I " and just a thought, Bible Black by Heaven and Hell, same lineup as Black Sabbath.
Black Sabbath's Computer God with Ronnie James Dio on vocals is a must to listen to.
I still can't get over how actually deep the lyrics are... I like a lot of Dio era Sabbath that I've heard... he gave them a different vibe but I think Ozzy had that dark/haunting vibe Dio doesn't...they both sound good with the band.
Me too...I saw them with Dio too
Turn up the Night 🔥🔥🔥
My favorite Sabbath songs with Dio are this one and Lonely is the Word. I must say when I hear Dio Sabbath songs I don't feel like I'm listening to Sabbath. Feels more like I'm listening to his other band Rainbow or his solo songs. Both of which you should explore. Plenty of good stuff
Ronnie really put his stamp on every band he was with.
Excellent reaction brother.. saw Sabbath the year Dio joined. 16 y/o one of my first concerts.
@kevin jensen - Nice way to kick off your concert-going career, man!! I’m the same age and saw Sabbath then, too!
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿
You're intelligence is awesome!!!! Loved this since I was a youngster!
So is you’res!
Falling off the edge of the world!
Got this album like 84’ deep into old sabbath. I was 14.
Greatest band. Ever.
Got Ozzy solo albums in 82 … right after Randy died. By friend then said he bought sold soul for rock n roll.
He said you wouldn’t believe whose the singer. Ozzy.
Crazy way to discover I was like what. ??!! 8 more Ozzy albums. ?? !!
Exceptional piece of music. Iommi is a rock god. i remember performing this and "Neon Knights" on stage, in front of millions of adoring fans, as a teenager. In front of the mirror, playing a tennis racket, of course. Iommi´s riffs and AC/DC´s.
Don't forget about Dio in the Rainbow era.... at his best. "Stargazer" is a must listen.
But HE HAS TO listen to 'A Light in The Black' after Stargazer. Very important as its part two of Stargazer. Have only seen one other reactor do the two together.
@@robr135 absolutely.
I get choked up and get chills every time I hear this song it’s an absolute masterpiece
Just blows your mind doesn't it? Heavy metal is awesome and it always has been. I'm 60 years old and going to metal concerts since I was 14. May Ronnie James Deal rest in peace there will never be another just like him I am glad to have seen him live several times. I wish you were there to experience it you would have fell in love. Live long and prosper.
You,re already doing my favourite....this is EPIC
Great reaction 🤣 love your energy !
This is one of my top favorite Sabbath songs with Dio. This entire album is awesome. When I was a teenager their were no music videos. We listened to new songs endlessly. As a consequence we've memorized the lyrics. If I hear the music. I can sing the lyrics.
This is most probably my favorite track of the Dio Sabbath era. Or Neon Knights.
His live shows with this song are best 👍🏼🤘🏻
Lonely Is The Word from this album is excellent.
Wishing Well from this album is a great overlooked song.
I've seen Black Sabbath live.brilliant.
Finally someone reacted to the studio version! Great stuff!
if this life is only a test drive it's been a hell of a ride!
Dio rejoined Black Sabbath in 1992 for the album Dehumanizer which is very under rated. TV Crimes is probably the best known song from that album. Would be thrilled to see a reaction to it.
This whole album is effing fantastic! It’s my FAVOURITE Black Sabbath album! Enjoy! 🤘🏻🇨🇦
You ROCK Brother! Keep it up BIZ!
The song, "I" (pronounced like eye) is a monster of a song from the Dehumanizer album. I consider it one of the hidden gems from the Sabbath and Dio catalogs.
I saw them back in the day...Great concert!
Awesome song. I still have this record and turntable in my parents attic
Wooohoo YEA loved this concert LIVE , still on my playlist & I still have my Concert T shirt …. Way to go bro
RIP RONNIE JAMES DIO !!!! watching from NZ ….
"Falling off the edge of the world", "Sign of the southern cross"
What people don't realize is that when Ozzy left in 79 Black Sabbath's producer manager left also. Blue Oyster Cult's original manager (Sandy Pearlman) was hired and helped bring DIO from RAINBOW to BS. He also was the one who put the original 1981 "Black and Blue" tour (Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult) on which they were performing this album. Listen to "The Temple of the King" "Gates of Babylon" "Stargazer"
My favorite Dio Black Sabbath song is called "I" it is on the Dehumanizer album. It has been remade twice by other bands Ancesttral and Tyr.
Heaven and He’ll , my favorite!!!
Top Blad Sabbath song. Those riffs and lyrics! Amazing.
Children of the sea is the best one with Dio as singer.
My fav Dio era Sabbath song is "Neon Nights" along with this one.
This is MY favorite ❤️ DIO era BLACK SABBATH SONG as well as my favorite Black Sabbath album with Dio. The lyrics are awesome
Everything from black Sabbath with Dio on heaven and hell and mob rules is fantastic!! Unbeatable! 🤘😎🤘
Computer God is an absolute BANGER from the Dio-era of Black Sabbath.
i been listening to this since 1980
The lead break in this song is epic
'Lonely Is The Word' and 'Over And Over'. I like the bluesy ones.
When I seen you did this song I knew you would love it,your the only person who reacted to this song that understood what the lyrics meant, keep on rocking!!!
Oh wow thanks 🤘🏿🤘🏿
My friend has been a fan of black sabbath for like 30 years and ironically his full name is Ronnie James David and when he became a father he named his son Dio like Ronnie James Dio
Subbed because of this right here! Been listening to Black Sabbath since I was a twelve year old little girl, but when Dio joined the band I was hooked. Dio was the best thing that EVER happened to Black Sabbath. It don't get no better than this. Ronnie James Dio was/is a Metal God, and the best frontman that ever walked this planet. More Dio era Black Sabbath please! A great one to check out is "Lonely Is The Word." Live version. You won't regret it. BTW,, your channels are fire! 🤘🏼🔥
If you like Dio and Dio era Black Sabbath you may want to check out the band Heaven and Hell. They have one album entitled The Devil You Know. Check out the song Bible Black.
Ronnie James Dio (RIP) one of the greatest to ever stand on a stage. After Ozzy left in the late 70s, Dio helped carry that band. But there were also other singers who added to the Sabbath legacy. We don't have anything like that anymore. In 1970 a movie cane out called Black Sabbath, that's where the band got their name. There is a self titled song from that year they made called Black Sabbath. In the song guitarist Tony Iommi uses the flatted fifth chord. Some people believe it's Satan's chord. It's hardly used in the music world. The story behind the song Black Sabbath as far as I know, was an event that happened to the bassist Geezer Butler, he was big into the Occult and one night he said that he saw a demonic presence in his bedroom that had red eyes. Ozzy's voice in the song really sells it. The song is worth a listen.
The GREATEST song in the history of the universe \m/ \m/
Great song but imo Die Young is the true gem off of this album.
My favorite sabbath tune especially done live
Great song. Masterpiece of album. My fav is gates of babylon
Die Young is a fabulous song of this fabulous album!
I'm a fan of "heaven and hell" and "shadow of the wind". Both songs have powerful lyrics.
Wishing Well .... same album ....
great lyrics and hook.
I haven't heard that song in years. As a teenager I used to jam out to that album. It was one of my favorites other than AC/DC albums.
Devil and daughter by sabbath ( minus dio) .great 🎵
Minus Geezer Butler, Bill Ward, Vinny Appice…
Amazing song one of my favourites from the dio sabbath years , great channel 👍
Face reactions say it all... unbelievable tune!!
"Sign of the Southern Cross" by Black Sabbath (with Dio on vocals) is a must.
I liked it, I never heard it before.
You should consider checking out Dio's last album with the Sabbath lineup. They couldn't be called Black Sabbath because of legal issues at the time, so they named the band Heaven & Hell, and they had one album, The Devil You Know. My favorite Dio-era Sabbath song is on this album. It's called Fear. The whole album is good, but that song just...Grrrr! First time I played it, the riff cracked the floor under my speakers, it was so heavy, and the fact that Dio put in this level of vocal performance a year before his death speaks volumes about his talent.
Great reaction, thank you
Awesome song and reaction !!
My favourite is Die young. Every song Dio performed he also wrote it either with the band or by himself. I think you should choose official videos or live cause Dio is pure delight to watch along with listening
Great analysis!!!
I love Dios ambiguous and philosophical-sounding lyrics. As weird as they often seem, I am personally convinced that when he mentions "the dancer" twice (first "nobody bleeds for the dancer") and then later ("fool fool, you got to bleed for the dancer, look for the answer") what the idea is that once you start humanizing, caring about ("bleeding" for) generally de-humanized people (mere "dancers", probably referring to strippers and the like) that's when you ascend as a human being. In the long run, a ticket to heaven, so to speak.
Do note it has nothing to do with various professions or whatever people think about that. It's only got to do with the moment a person is no longer considered a person in usual person-to-person interactions. In the 1980s when this was written, I guess exotic dancers were the most obvious pick. Today you have literally any given store clerk, or delivery folks, or people working warehouses etc. Which I suppose goes to show that everything they warned about in the past, with their dystopian fantasies have become true, and some more. Sigh.
Whenever I listen to this, so does everyone else.
Straight f****** banger bro, Beastie boys Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd, feel me
Fun fact about this album: the recording studio they recorded it at was across the street from a strip club. They would take the mixes across the street and if the girls liked it, they kept it.
My favorite Dio Black Sabbath song is "Children of the Sea" the base line is great.
Totally brilliant!!!!
This one is my favorite Heaven and Hell
