Version B cuts through the mix and fills in the high end nicely. I will dig out my own washboard necktie from the bottom of my percussion bag and give it a go.
i am build a set of travel congas but cant find any information about traditional rim hoop sizes and flesh hoop sizes, can you let me know what are those diameters for a 12.5 inch , 11.75 inch , 11 inch conga drum thanks.
hello sir i hope you're doing well i have a djembe drum i use baby bull skin for its head but i cant get a thick sound like original djembe ..could you guide me to choose right skin for my drum
I liked both, but I vote for B A great Conga lesson. Have you seen the RUclips video of Bo Diddly defying Ed Sullivan and playing a Conga beat on Ed’s 1955 show? Ed wanted him to cover Tennessee Ernie Ford’s current hit”16 Tons.” It was a breakthrough for African inspired music. Check it out, if you like. Easy to find.
been working on this pattern, and a few of your others, on Conga - really appreciate it!

Thanks, Kalani,

I like A better. It goes well with the conga and bells. B has a little bit more "ping" and clashes with the bell pattern
so helpful, thank you

B 👔👍
2 ... but both are nice. Different feel.
A, but I think B would make an interesting accent, say on every other / every third bar.
I vote B; the patterns becomes a bit more transparent with that one....
Is that a cow skin head ? I like the sound of
A sounds a bit better. Both good just different but I'm not a musician
B is better.
