Nice boxwood. Good info on trimming and shaping. Rescued one, with a half dozen or so remaining leaves, from compost pile at Peapatch. It’s dried/sad roots fitted into 5 gallon bucket. After 7 years healthy and steadily growing. Estimate it is 20+ years old. It’ll never be a broom style like your tree here. But you’ve given me ideas on how to continue with it.
I like this bold method as opposed to traditional cutting one twig at a time, which is considered by some people to be the only correct way. Many years ago Walter Paul wrote about it, a hedge pruning method
