      @@CcBeautiful94 You can amend any tax return you've filed with the IRS within (I think) the past few years or so. You file form 1040X (and possibly other forms), and it effectively replaces your original 1040. It's meant to be used if you make a mistake or discover income you (somehow) didn't know about. In this case, the defendant first told the IRS that the plaintiff was owed roughly $5000 in refunds, and then told the IRS (without the plaintiff's permission) "oops, I messed up, actually the plaintiff owes you money." One of those statements was presumably a lie, but the video doesn't give us enough information to tell which is the truth. Hopefully, the plaintiff will go to a reputable accountant and have them go over the amended and original returns in depth to figure out whether they need another amendment.

    • @truelife974
      @truelife974 2 месяца назад +1

      That's not what happened at all. The defendant actually did the opposite of what you said. Her reason for doing it was because the plaintiff costed her business from other people when she went around complaining about the $800 that the defendant deducted from her check. The $800 is the defendants standard fee for those kind of returns and it's how she gets paid. So what the defendant did was refiled her taxes without the credits that she worked out for her to get the first large return. The plaintiff was ahead from the beginning and in reality took from the defendant because she made people not use her services. The plaintiff is the real scammer. Judge Judy bailed her out.

    There is no way the fee was only $200 for tax return services where the fee is not paid upfront. However the preparer had no business submitting an amended return without the clients authorization. Defendent she absolutely lose her credentials.

    So, she either filed a fraudulent return the first time, or submitted a second one to "get even" with the plaintiff over the dispute.
    Something tells me the IRS is going to be all over those returns her firm filed like white on rice.

    I bet I know what happened: the plaintiff claimed some credits she wasn't entitled to making her refund larger than it should have been. When she started to complain about the fees (and $800 isn't unusual) the preparer gave the IRS the real numbers. The preparer's mistake was re-filing the return.

    • @truelife974
      @truelife974 2 месяца назад

      She only did that because the plaintiff costed her money by doing that. The defendant didn't make a mistake. She just evened the score.

    My cousin once illegally claimed me on his taxes, even though he was living at my house and eating the food I paid for. The only reason I found out about it is because he put in the wrong Social Security number for me. Turns out my grandma was helping him, and when she found out the Social Security number is wrong, she asked me for my number. He still got $500 and I never saw a penny. By the way, I was not a minor my grandmother and my cousin were living at my house. I was 19.
