Thank you for this. Since I had a hemorrhagic stroke (parietal and occipital lobes) last May I have longed to connect with and learn the stories of other stroke survivors.
@@BillGasiamis I dove right into recovery with confidence. After all, I was a type A personality, an over achiever. 12 weeks later I suffered an ischemic stroke in the SAME brain spots! Still I continued with positive thoughts. But then I had recurrent post stroke tremors/seizures. That was tough because the symptoms mimicked a stroke alert EXACTLY. So hospital emergency room visits were every month. CT scans and MRIs showed no strokes but the symptoms (right side weakness/paralysis, confusion, complete aphasia, inability to speak) demanded hospital stays. I was very depressed. But I took control of my health and my life. I learned a lot. More than the doctors. I am studying Buteyko breathing, juicing, meditation and am trying to fight depression in spite of the anti-seizure meds, that are awful. I had to change my high pressure life. It was so comforting to hear your story and Darren's. I could relate to so many things you said. That helped because I feel so terribly alone in this. So thanks for asking. 😍
Thanks always
