- Today I bake a very delicious filled and gratinated bread, a perfect idea for a quick lunch or dinner and also great as a party bread. A quick and easy recipe with simple ingredients. The filled bread is delicious! So - get to the oven!

Ingredients for the filled, baked bread:
400 g of flour
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 1/2 tsp dry yeast
1 egg
200 ml of milk
40 g of olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
For the filling:
150 g of grated cheese
150 g feta cheese
1/2 red pepper
1/2 green pepper
Dill, black cumin, sesame
1 egg yolk

Please tell me, did you use the ingredients in the video itself or the printed one converted? Because they are vastly different on flour, olive oil, milk and cheeses.

Myself, I was thinking thinly sliced red onions on top!
I think an onion would be great but, l personally, would sauté it and let it cool before adding it to the mix. Sometimes they don't cook and go sort of like stringy plastic if they're just on top of something. 🙂

Yum idea. I agree with Niki, depending on who is eating it. Personally, I would put some diced for the last three or so minutes, enough to cook them a little but not enough to lose a little “to the tooth”. 🤔
I can just imagine how wonderful it smells when it is in the oven!!
Just made this yesterday! Truth to be told, I'm not good with bread-making. Always failed! So, the first time I made the bread dough using this recipe, it failed on me too. Retried a 2nd time after I realised that perhaps I should've not use the measuring cups I have and properly weigh them instead; also measure the milk to the millimetre. Also, instead of trying to mix with my spatula, I decided to follow the video and not be lazy to take out my electric dough beater to mix it.
FINALLY, it came out correct! Seriously hate how different regions have different cup measurements. So, I thank the video creator for having input the exact metric measurements for this. Really helps!
We were so happy that finally this house came out with homemade fresh-from-the-oven bread! LOL! It turned out perfect! Really easy to follow recipe video once I realised my mistakes there.
Also, we didn't have black cumins, so I omitted that. But added a handful of minced beef instead. (chef kiss)

That looks delicious! One could make many variations of the filling/topping, green onion, yellow, red or white onions, mushrooms, chopped or sliced tomatoes on top, any kind of ground meat, chopped broccoli, zucchini, carrots, cabbage, pretty much any veggies.

edit: I just made it and it came out perfectly and was delicious! I added my own mix of veggies and cheese. What a great recipe!
Did you use the ingredients as in the video itself or the printed recipe converted? Because the flour she put in is 1 cup more than printed and the milk and olive oil is only half of the printed version

I would put a few tomatoes in there too and less peppers no cumin, maybe some celery, more cheese maybe some mushrooms ; I like the dill ; looks pretty good though!! Could always probably use Filo dough instead 👍⭐️😁

I would drop the cumin & dill & add fresh or dried thyme & fresh basil instead -- and maybe some halved grape tomatoes on top too!! Served warm with butter or even sliced & toasted with butter?? Yes!!

its a mediterranean bread , can add smoked fish and olives , if you like them , any smoked fish will do , good picnic food , easy to carry and tastes great , good with a nice dry wine to cut the cheese , i make all kinds of breads , you can make a spinach and feta too with onion and garlic tastes amazing , or basically make a pizza that only has the filling inside , i think they call it a calzone , sorry for my spelling , autism , oh and if you do not have time for rising dough you can use baking soda and bi carb instead its ready fast then and no need to add sugar then either , so better for people that have cancer in their family as sugar feeds cancer
