I didn’t know about Jason and his music until after his death. He was a great song writer & musician & probably a fine person with a dependency on alcohol. What a sad story, dying alone & lonely in Indianapolis, Indiana. A lot of his songs made me feel he was searching for something he could never find. May The Lord rest his soul.
I don't often find him playing songs from the Let Me Go album, love it!
The first song is called: "It's Easier Now"
It's from Molina's solo record: "Let Me Go, Let Me Go, Let Me Go" from 2006.

Maybe he was always singing about his death. And maybe that's why we always loved him. It's something we definitely all have in common.
He knew death and suffering every day and the only way he knew to deal with it was with music, and with drink
This segment hits a little harder these days....
So much pain. I was a fan of Jason before his death but I always suspected that he was not going to die old like Leonard Cohen, but young like Townes van Zandt. And so it was. Sigh.

Is the second track O Punishment on an album or single of his? , I love it but I've only managed to find a live version played on electric guitar, it's just not the same.
