That round flat rubbery piece is used to hold in front of the filter when you need to take it apart, so you don't lose all that water. They suggest that you need two people to do work that involves using that piece. One person would hold the black stopper while the other person does the maintenance on the skimmer/filter. The pool is filled too high, that's why it's leaking out the skimmer. There are lines on the part that sits inside the pool and screws onto the skimmer. The lines indicate where the water should be, not higher or lower than the lines. We just put our pool up yesterday, but haven't filled it yet because we need concrete pads under the legs. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we don't get a leak, my worst fears. It was nice seeing your son helping put up the pool, I bet he couldn't wait to get in it.

It’s a good pool. You overfilled it with water. Always leave a few inches from the top. :)

After the filter and chlorine tablet did their magic, the water became clear and saved me some water bill.

it’s leaking because there’s too much water in the pool drop it a couple of inches and the leaking will stop. The water level needs to be below the filter.

Do you mean the water inlet? If yes the white goes inside the pool and the black on the outside.

It has the weight limit on the ladder. I believe it's 330 lbs.

Don't buy anything from funsicle. They are extremely cheaply made and the seams will tear apart almost immediately.
