- In this video you will see a 2014 SRT Cherokee on the Dyno with a RIPP Supercharger. We will do a short walk around to demonstrate the system and then a final Dyno Video to show the 530 Rear Wheel HP. Stock Rear Wheel HP is 390. RIPP owns this vehicle and does all its own testing.

Ripp can u guys do this type of setup on a 2018 charger scatpack with out the Airbox sticking out over the motor. I like the clean setup like this. Piping looks great.

Also, I have a 2012 SRT8 Jeep. It came with the stupid ECO 4-cyclinder tree hugger feel good option for those around me in the Seattle area. I had Sean at hemifever give me a Diablo tune that got rid go the ECO mode (horrible stock throttle delay) and it runs a lot cleaner (and better fuel economy ...). But, I want more power like all who buy this beast.
Do you have to replace the bank of rockers with the extra oil ports for the original 4-cyclinder ECO 'mistake' as well for the 2012 to 2014's which had this lovely 'feature'?
Do you have a partner shop in the NW or the West Coast who can install the RIPP chargers?

Yousif Al-Ansari hello we do not currently support the 2017 SRT the ECU is not yet programmable. The engine can sustain 500-550awdhp, beyond that you will need to build the engine internals.

you remove the parts in the transfer case that route power to the front wheels and remove a fuse.

Yes, we have a kit for the 5.7 and the 3.6 2011-2014 Grand Cherokee - stock it makes 276whp AWD with our supercharger it make 420whp AWD with stock exhaust manifolds and cats.

Yes, but that's a better question for tech@rippmods.com . There are multiple options for increasing boost on the Hemi kits based on the engine build. They can guide you on pulley size for your set up.

2018 Tuning is not available so we have no kit as of yet. When Diablo or HPT cracks the ECU we can move forward with a kit.

No, early on we were doing this with the tuning software, later we just left it AWD and has been that way since.
How reliable will it be with an extra 140ish hp? Also, can this be custom tuned with HP Tuners instead of Diablo?

Yes, it does retain the AWD without issue - and runs just as strong.

Why are you only measuring the HP at the rear wheels?!? I would assume that your setup on AWD, as you originally tested, would be much lower.
We have much newer videos showing same HP. This was testing a Dyno mode in the Diablo several years ago.

Kill me if I'm wrong but you Dyno 390 whp in 4WD and 530 whp in 2WD? If so why not show before/after in 4WD only?

I have to ask, since its not connected to the exhaust why would it need an intercooler? That doesn't add up to me.
An intercooler is for cooler denser air going into the engine for maximum efficiency. The exhaust has no relation to it.

It doesnt matter if its connected to the exhaust, superchargers and turbos both compress the intake air wich generates heat on the intake charge regardless. The more boost there is the more heat is made, thus the need for intercoolers wich make denser cooler air and also avoiding cylinder knock (KR). Methanol injection kits also aids in the cooling effect..
why are you only using the rear wheels? on this pass
This video is 6 years old, at the time Diablo would have a dyno mode for rwd or 2wd dyno. If you look at our newer videos they are all AWD 👍

Nik J Tunning Mopar/Jeep vehicles consume alot of time and devotion. Unlike Ford and Chevy, the ECU's in these vehicles are incredibly locked down (i.e. Jeep doesn't want you touching their calibrations) This is why we do not put out thousands of different kits. We prefer to spend time on making every application as solid as possible and for the customer to enjoy the experience of driving it every day!

You shut it with the Diablo programmer - its easy
Could it do that on an 06?
Whilst the HP increase is great, whats the point/purpose of doing it in RWD only when these cars are AWD? Who is going to disable AWD for the street? Why not show the AWD figures? I get that the HP increase wont look as good but at least it will be real world figures that customers will actually get rather than unachievable RWD figures.
Because its not full time AWD - Its a 70/30 split and then shuts off - In reality this is the correct way to demo this. If you make a pass in AWD it shuts off and switches to RWD and that confuses the DYNO... SO in an effort to keep our $120k Dyno and not drop the transfer case into pieces - RWD is the safest way to go.

Says who...? We have over 500 of these kits on the road at 560awd-hp.. we have been supercharging these for a very long time and we know factually you can run 500 to 560awd-hp safely. When you light it up past that you need internals.

Kalin Konnerth We reccomend checking with your local Jeep Dealership. We've found that most dealers are mod-friendly, considering we have dealerships actually buy our kits for vehicles they have on the lot. These are bolt on kits that do not require cutting up the engine bay.

I don’t think 60 hp is worth 6,000$
60hp? Common misconception, you are under the impression that the 392 makes 480hp to the wheels when in fact it does not. 480 is Crank HP or HP measured at the engine alone. Stock SRTs make 389whp (wheel HP) or HP measured at the wheels like this video. With our supercharger make 550awd-wheel hp which is in fact 660 Crank hp. So its $6000 for nearly 200hp 🙂

You can't just strap on a supercharger and not expect to blow your engine and or drivetrain.
