Thanks for taking the time to make this. I am a new scroller and my first cuts looked like they were chewed by a beaver. You are right about watching people on YT who have thousands of hours of practice making it look so easy. I think slowing it down and practicing with your example sheet and videos will get me there. Lots of practice ahead.

Thanks for providing both verbal instruction as well as visual examples. It is obvious that you are a patient instructor. Novice scrollers who aspire to becoming experienced scrollers, like myself, appreciate the basic information with the added tips you give.

Hey Bob, thank you for taking the time and effort for such an excellent tutorial (and pattern template) for cutting different patterns on the scroll saw. You cover so much in your instructions that any reasonable person would give you a THUMBS UP. Can't wait to get to my saw with your pattern and hope to graduate asap.

Even after buying a book about scroll saws, I still had a lot of questions and doubts--you've answered all of them, and then some. This video/link should come with any scroll saw purchase, anywhere.

Thank you for the demonstrations. It's really great to know that it is standard to not be able to run a straight line with the blade as well as the reminder to not beat myself up when my first cuts (for some reason) just don't look like the the pro's in the videos. Those things are frustrating.

This is a really great video. Everything was explained very well. I just picked up a small scroll saw from my mother's house as she was cleaning it out, and I have a Bladerunner I've only used for straight cuts. I cannot thank you enough. I just started my first set of corbels. they have several layers and are a little detailed with a LOT of curves. I would consider myself an intermediate woodworker so I put a 1/4 blade on my bandsaw to do the detail work (I had contemplated getting out my scroll saw). I was so frustrating and I ruined a piece already. it is obvious now I should have used the scroll saw. thank you!

Millan, I have not used a Craftsman scroll saw before, but I have had a few different brands and I never had to re-tension on changing holes. I would recommend going over the manual for the saw to make sure you are not "Missing something". Maybe someone here that owns the same saw can help better than I can and offer a suggestion. I will say that a new blade will stretch a little bit when first installed and may need to be re-tensioned after a few minutes of use, but not after every hole.
