Level 2 was painful to watch. Had you just gone with trying to quickly hit the P switch and run to the exit more than once I bet you would have gotten it by try 2 or 3.
Kill 1, grab cloud, hit P switch, fly all the way to right l at the top so you have nothing spawned, win. Was literally yelling at my phone in frustration of the poor game play there.

Level 2 wasn't that bad. Ryu made it so much worse on himself by remaining in the Lakitu area for so long trying to kill them. Best strat was to go right away and he would have lost 2-3 lives at most.

I had that same thought. Killing some doesn’t help if it lets the rest fill up the area with spikes

8:52 - Your strategy on this run seemed promising (entering late and sprinting for the p-switch). Only one spiny had been thrown in total by the time you hit the switch and tried dropping down. You did happen to hit the side of a Lakitu while dropping and die on that attempt, but I'm surprised you didn't try that again. Seems like it might have had the highest chance of working, since it almost entirely eliminated the appearance of any spinies.
That's kinda what I was thinking, the spinies being spawned seemed like the main problem, but by the time he went for it on most attempts they were already everywhere. Not trying to knock my boy Ryu or anything, but it's just an observation. He's 1000 times better than I am lol.

I think you're supposed to run straight for the P while most the Lakitu are on your right and then run and jump off to the left to get to the bottom and get the axe.

That first level was hot garbage but also kind of surprisingly indicated for the answers like, it didn't feel like the indicators were ever lying, despite the level being intentionally obscure about them
first level had indicators for pick a path answers that were wrong I think.
I think it was so the original creator didn't forget where the hidden blocks and such were?

That vine level was 100% Ryu making the game harder than it had to be. Proof: he made it without issue twice, the first two times, but he wasted the P switch the first time, and missed it the second time. Sorry, Ryu, but that one's on you.

Probably not, he just made it way too hard on himself. Literally just needed to hit the P switch and not die while jumping to the bottom which yes wasn’t free but would have been a lot easier than trying to kill them all.
Imagine SMM added in where you can die after the goal like SMW rom hacks

The second level was only difficult because your strategy was hot garbage.
After how much you've played Mario, I'm surprised you don't know the Lakitu patterns.
All you had to do was kill the first Lakitu at the top, hit the P switch, then cloud over to the wall and ground pound.
Why you chose to try killing 20 Lakitu is just silly.

When you do your 100 man, you could write down at least one level of garbage and by month's end, put up a video and poll for the awards for Worst Garbage for the Month. XD
No one's talking about how Ryu made that first level harder for himself. At that early section with the piranha plants below the one-ways, there was a platform at the beginning of the section that he could have landed on. From there he would have been able to see ahead so the first jump would not have been blind.
Honestly you made stage 2 way harder than it had to be. All you needed to do was hit the switch, stay up top and run right as fast as you could and drop down. Instead you kept trying to go through the middle of all the Lakitus for some reason.
Honestly Level 2 was way easier than he made it to be. Cause, if he just went for it, it probably would have been easier, cause of no spikes yez
I played that level with the vine after I saw this video and idk how you struggled with it so much... I needed 2 attempts. just killed the cloud boys and that was it

Level 2: Moving sky tree „scroll“ level with winged Lakitus spam throwing winged spinies (reminds me on Mario 35)
Level 3: Just a water level with fish spam
Level 4: Some platforming
Level 5: Some bullet tower spam
Level 6: More platforming but Japanese style (one obstacle)

I was practically screaming at my TV with that lakitu part. You gotta go FAST! The longer you screw around trying to kill lakitus, the more spineys get spawned and start shooting spikes. Rush to the P, then hop to the far right while staying as high up as possible.

The best hot garbage always has the spinys and lakatus. Remember the raining spinys stage? Maybe it's time for a top 10 hot garbage stages. I know raining spinys has to still be number 1.
I think stage 5 is an auto level where the title wants you to hole A+B+Down to start the level. But then again the title can be a troll lol
That's why i like MM1 more than MM2 i love hot garbage levels anyone can have skill and beat a boring team shell level , but the hot garbage is much more fun on figuring out how to beat the level
