I stayed with you the whole video, the video was entertaining and your voice comes through loud and clear, did not sound muffled to me at all. Loved the spontaneous interview in the Pastel store.
What a good guide you are! All of these familiar scenes, a different part of my life, and I was a different person then... it's nice to have a reminder that we change and grow.
Sabaidee brother !!! Luv these kinds of videos .. I would luv to walk around there & so clean !! Well I know where to go when I do visit !!! Ty for sharing & be & stay safe !!! Blessings from NJ .. 🙏🏽🥰
I was in Seattle two weeks ago and I made it my business to try coffee from somewhere you had suggested. Keep walking my brotha and we will keep watching..
I watched the whole video it was nice! Pike place is huge. My wife and I are going to take a tour of the market after watching your video and we've been here in Seattle sense the mid 90's
This is the first comment, and I haven't watched the video yet. I will like the video now. I'll watch the video later and will thank Mr. Ocean for the wonderful content. That is what you can do on this channel, cuz, it's the absolute best channel on the RUclips's. I'll be back Mr. Ocean...
Lived the extended video. Yes i was one of those that sleeps in on a holiday. and the Cupcake Royale is cool. At 1:03:00 did you get a load of the Robo guy preparing for his Quantum leap?? 😂. OMG. and his follow me luggage. What a space suit. 👨🚀
Watched the whole video from start til end Mr Dennis, plus two cups of coffee. Enjoy the extended time vids so much. Sorry I was a day late watching. New ideas for the new year, hmmm, maybe a good cup of coffee and a ferry ride possibly? If they even allow you to video on the ferry. I haven't been on one in like three years, alot of change in three years because of the.. well you know. Lowell's has a great breakfast, always pronounced it in just one syllable. In closing, the unedited versions are the best, reality is reality. Take care Mr Dennis, many blessings to you sir.
Loved this vlog! Totally here for the long walking ones without any cuts! I've been meaning to get down to Pikes Place so this really gives me a good idea how it's looking these days!
Thank you for all your videos! I'll be visiting Seattle for the first time this summer and have learned a lot from you. Love hearing the perspective of a local
You’ve showed me places I have never seen at the market! Thank you! My sister and I took a haunted tour of the market after dark, it was neat. ( been a few years!) love the longer walking/talking/tours! ❤️ my step count is 11,320 at 5:15pm
Excellent production Mr. Ocean. Indeed I watched the entire video; thanks for the cigar tease... I, really, enjoy the long videos, but I enjoy all the videos... I'm still waiting for the cigar video cuz I'm a cigar guy... Thank you sir, this long video was amazing. I have no suggestions for making the Lao Ocean show any more amazing than it is, but I'll keep watching because you're doing a wonderful job... Oh, the interactions were really fun as well; nice shop visit too... Again, thank you sir. You are awesome.
I watched entire video. Its always nice to have on while I am at my desk at work. I am originally from Seattle so it is nice to see how it looks today. Thank you for the walking video.
i watched the whole thing and I'm super excited to visit in August 2 days before the cruise. Definitely going to devote at least half the day to Pike Place Market. You are doing such an awesome job!!! Keep it up!!!
Loving my monthly “fix” of walking Pike Place Market. I have visited Seattle four times since my daughter moved there in 2017. Have hopes to move there myself someday. I enjoy all of your videos, they provide a nice overview of the city as well as the surrounding area. Have you thought about branching out further, taking the ferry to Bainbridge or even a few days out to the Olympic Peninsula? I hope to run into you sometime when I am out there. Take care.
[In my best "Elf" voice] Congratulations! You did it! Your longest video ever! I've never actually made that left turn at 15:00 and now I have to add it to my list for the next time I'm in Seattle. I was there over the weekend (think I was at the market maybe 20 after you!) but was so busy looking at apartments I didn't get to wander very much. Luckily there will be plenty of next times :) Loved the video, as always, Dennis!
Thank you for the great video through my hometown appreciate the cool Commentary good reality very relaxing watch the whole video all the way through about to watch it again
Dennis I am one of your "regulars" lol, have been watching for the past year or so. I am hoping in the future you will have some weekend time to maybe visit some of the Islands, Vashon, Whidbey, San Juan, Orcas or Lopez. Any of them would be great to see. Thanks for your great videos, always so perfectly shot and your voice is calming to my ears.
Love so much when you meet subscribers! I can't travel much because of pets but that would be awesome lol. I have an Instagram but never add to it, but I will follow you on it. That sounds fun.
Reality vs relaxation, Long time viewer decided I better subscribe since I watch all your video's in entirety. Awesome in all you do, continued success my new friend
@@LaoOcean Hey Dennis, rewatching your video again. What was the name of the vendor you visited with all the cute stuff? Kinda wanted to check out their socials! 😁👍
I love your walks. I miss that market so much I do have a question though. Is there still a tea house attached to Pikes Market?? I remember sitting down and having a wonderful tea ceremony where they rinse the tea and all the teas are in large jars on the walls. It has been a good 4 years I believe since I went there and forgot what it is called so I thought I would ask the pro!!
I chose to save Pike Market on my last day of vacation. It rained so hard! something about a bomb cyclone in the pacific. Wish the weather would have been like this!
Dennis your to the Best Seattle tour guide. I love Seattle and now planning on making a final move. Reminds me of all the old school SF area neighborhood. Can you add a video on some of the zaniest and best thrift stores. Also a Seattle spot called Archie McFee. Thanks 👍 your the best
As a local, this is a slow day/time at The Market ! On a sunny summer weekend, the street is so full of people cars can't get down it. Great for people watchers !
LOVE watching your videos of my Hometown! I seem to still be able to do so without getting too Homesick as I now reside in Central California now due to job reasons! At the location of that Target near the Market, I still remember going to the Kress Dime Store with my Mom when I was a kid and just East of that was the old Woolworth Store! Does that date me? I lived in Seattle from 1956 -1978!
I watched the whole thing! My sissies and I went here on my birthday (December 22nd) and we didn’t even scratch the surface!!! We gotta go back and actually spend a whole day there. This is to Seattle what Times Square is to Manhattan or the French quarter to New Orleans!!! I’d love to see you do an in depth video of the waterfront, BUT!!! (Haha I said butt…) I would want to see it after the proposed builds are done! They’re supposed to get an area with some slides near the market on the walk down, but they’re also supposed to have an entire playground next to the wheel! Cannot waaaaaaaait to see that! You’re right tho man there should be a lot of fun in life!!!
Thanks for watching. Real estate can be spendy in Ballard, as with most anywhere in Seattle. Feel free to contact me in IG @lao.ocean about this or other questions you may have.
Ballard is one of the more expensive neighborhoods, along with Fremont, Magnolia, Madison Valley and Capital Hill. If you're looking for a more affordable neighborhood, look in South Seattle. It's much more affordable and you can step on the Light Rail and be in downtown or Capital Hill in less than 20 minutes.
I’ll have to go Seattle and walk around someday but not if mask wearing is a requirement. Seattle has enough clean air not to have to do that, I’ll go and drive around first and check it out, perhaps some time this week. I like your video’s though, they bring back lots of memories from the good old days, thanks.
@@LaoOcean The Italian lady (and, of course, I don't need to remind a man like you about authenticity) who runs the place seems really nice and friendly that she would be great to interview for your videos :)
Tip for wearing a mask with glasses: Set your glasses over the top of the mask. This will hold it flat over the bridge of the nose so your glasses don't fog up.
Crazy!!! One has to wear a mask still? We are going in June.. is it still required? Ugh.. hate that face diaper. Might have to change our plans. One thing I would have liked to have seen, is the stores you are passing. I am an avid window shopper and love to see what stores are and what's in them. I kept trying to look but you walked by them so fast.

Walk slower ... showcase the different shops and variety of products. Don't know if you saw the pictures just north of the front entrance, outside wall ... the internment of the Seattle Japanese Americans in 1942. Closed down Pike's Market since many vendors was taken ... story of the return of the market is an interesting one.

Ok then
Vaccine and mask mandates are ending in March. You get the best views in the Spring/Summer anyway 🙂

9 acres! Do you know if that's spread out or all of the floor space of the levels?
I’m not sure, but 9 acres is a lot and it doesn’t look like it’s 9 acres. It’s what their website states, however.
This was RIGHT before I moved to Seattle
I watched the whole video while doing cleaning and chores :P
