A Coffee Story: Early 90s, quality coffee is just getting started in Seattle. Dr Illy the pioneer of coffee quality comes from Italy to visit an early Illy Caffe shop at PP Market and the media are there, lights, cables, cameras. I move around to get behind and out of the lights' glare to see the celebrity. I trip on a thick cable; the heavy light starts to tip toward the doc. I grabbed it just in time, nearly killed him.. (?). not the kind of local celebrity I would have liked to become... (Or, to put it a different way, Dr Illy lived another 18 happy and prosperous years thanks to my quick action!) ;)

I really appreciate your Seattle walking videos and talks. I have visited from England quite a few times to see my son and loved Seattle, doing lots of walking and exploring. It felt such a special place. It has been so upsetting and sad seeing what has been happening there over recent years, lots of places almost unrecognizable. But having your videos has given me a welcome shot of happy memories of my wonderful visits.
I also like your chatty friendly relaxed commentary!

I enjoy the monthly Pike Place Market walks. This month was particularly fun as you approached from a different direction. I will be watching to see what changes come as the seasons change, from winter to spring, to summer, etc. I like seeing the brief interviews with vendors, taste tests, etc. I am also interested in seeing the changes in the waterfront as the renovations progress. Take care Mr. Dennis.

Thanks for posting this as I was starting to experience Lao Ocean withdrawal. Very cool that you got to interact with a subscriber as well as the popcorn seller. I took a look back at last months video and I think I like this camera a bit better. The difference is not huge but somehow I was able to focus better with this than with the wider frame where the image gets a bit distorted at the edges. I think I’d like to see you out in the neighborhoods rather than in the market although I understand your reasons for going there. It’s fascinating to see how different the waterfront is without the viaduct. The sound of Seagulls always reminds me of Seattle. That said I’d like to see more of the places where people actually live. What’s happening in Tukwila, Burien, and South Center mall. Many of us moving to Seattle won’t be able to live right in Seattle. I love the restaurant videos and I know there are a lot of interesting spots down on Rainier and MLK. A slow walk of the U District and changes on UW campus could be interesting. Also loved the slower pace and don’t forget to let us see you every once in awhile. I know you are the narrator but along with Seattle you are also the star of the show. Be well Dennis!!!

Thanks for watching and providing input! I will be covering areas outside of Seattle more. My goal is to cover more of the Pacific Northwest.Really good to hear what you have to say about the different lenses!
And oh, I’m becoming more more camera shy by the day and liking being behind the camera more and more. 😂

I do like the monthly walks, noticeable changes. Also like a bit of the slower pace you mentioned. Nice walk up Post Alley. You could do a cardio episode on Seattle stairways, we sure have enough of them. Long videos are good but shorts are great too.

Love your longer vids! But bro they were doing the fish toss when you were standing outside before you went over to the Starbucks! I’d LOVE to see you capture that! Id also love to see a “nook and cranny” video of Seattle center! Finally, from what I’m seeing on the website, the final design of the waterfront is going to be amazing. There is going to be a walk down near the aquarium which is going to have another area built, AND near the market, there’s gonna be some slides and fun stuff! On the waterfront itself between the aquarium and the Ferris wheel, there’s gonna be a new pier with a water fountain and a play structure there as well! Pikes place and the waterfront are already amazing but this is gonna be like… wow! And they’ll be more connected then they already are!!!

Thank you for taking a walk about Pike Place Market. Though I've been to Pike's Place many times I didn't know you could see Blecher's, sorry for the misspelling, making cheese. I, also, like your coffee shop "reviews". Do you drink your coffee black when you do your coffee shop reviews. I, also, like the mini reviews you give when you are walking by places you have been at. Walking and public transit are my main modes of transportation, thank you for showing where I can journey and see more than what I would just going from point A to point B.

Thank you again Mr. Dennis (Ocean)... Another amazing production. Please forgive my inability to critique the minute aspects of your videos; to me, it seems, that the things you record are the things you want me to see. I comment on your videos because I get a lot of relaxation and enjoyment from them. I don't mean to elicit responses from you, but a response from you on a comment is quite cool... I'm enjoying your work, and I look forward to watching your videos. Seattle is amazing and you show it off well Sir. Thank you Mr. Ocean...
PS: Still awaiting the cigar lounge/shop...
Also: amazing long video... Long videos arw the best.
