Triumph have got the classic styling spot on with the bonneville range you can use all the power with fantastic handling and they look like a motorbike should look like, I still look back at mine and think it's beautiful
It took me some time to fall in love with my Kawasaki Concours 1400. So many riders put risers on the handlebars, but I decided to give it 90 days to build my core and ride it as designed. Rode it 30,000 miles through 24 states in the US.
What can I say , a review of the joys of motorcycling. Loved the bit around the sound, your silence and the motor running did it for me. Great…btw I thought the photography was so good in this
My speed triple r 2016 was in for Service yesterday and I was loaned a Thruxton R for the day, I can honestly say I didn't want to give it back, really took me surprise, the handling was better than speedy and the riding position was surprisingly comfortable ( I'm 5'10").OK the power is lower but the torque brought a wide smile.
Excellent review! I'd love on of them! I'd like to see the trackday thing happen... ask for it back and do a race school or track day on it. I think a Thruxton RS would be a perfect riot on track. Oi Triumph! Give Dei the Thruxton back with sticky tyres and a track to use! Nice vid again. Made the bike look awesome.
I would like to see a test ride of the z900rs café racer to compare it with the thruxton because in my opinion these two are the best retro bikes in the market, thanks for the review.
I bought a red Thruxton 900 back in 2011. A couple of years ago I ALMOST traded to one of these…but I couldn’t! I love the character of the one I’ve got. I’ve ridden it all around Tasmania, in particular, which is just hills, sweepers, U turns & it was brilliant! Besides I have a few other toys to whet my maniacal penchants!😈🚀 It’s a great bike D & I completely understand why you would love to keep it!😍👍🏼😎🇦🇺
I bought it, ride it for 2000 km... and sold it ! It has a wonderful look, a nice sound, some torque but I was fed up of the position (I am 170 cm) and found the suspension to be not only firm but harsh. And also although it is quite enough powerful for the road, it lacks the madness some other bikes have. When you accelerate with it, it goes fast but in a very easy way. I bought the Speed Triple 1200 RS instead and although it doesn't have the style of the Thruxton, I prefer it. It is firm also but not quite like the Thruxton (we have a lot of bumpy roads where I live). The position is also forward but also not quite like the Thtruxton and it makes all the difference. And when you accelerate, whouah it is mental (even if you don't do it often...). But for someone who is not bothered by the position, heavier than me so not bothered by the suspensions and is ok with the power then I admit few bikes look that good !
Thanks for your input. I have a Thruxton 900 and I'm seriously thinking I'd like the RS. But then there's a side of me that wishes to be on a supersport again, but you end up wanting to look like a Power Ranger again, which I've done when I was on my R6 a decade ago. So what other bikes look this good and perform well?
I love your vlogs, I love that you give a fair and honest view of a motorcycle that you ride. I’ve herd good things about the Harley-Davidson Pan American, but would love your view on it please 🙏😊
Bike looks nice, but unfortunately I can't ride in that position anymore. My hands go numb in less than 30 min. I had a Honda CB1100 which has a more comfortable riding position but I had the same issue. As far as a bike suggestion, try the Kawasaki Z900 RS. It's really nice!
Such a beautiful bike reminds me of classic old-school cycles with modern concepts. You cant falter good cruising with triumphs that is for sure. I would like to see you go and watch the Isle of Mann TT races :) you will love it. Best biker community.
Cool looking cafe racer style bike 🏍️😎 I have a friend who has had a non rs green coloured one for years and luves it. Yes I too find I get wrist pain on when I ride them. Looks like was a great day of riding there 🏍️☀️
Maybe ride and review the Triumph speed twin, many people say its a much better bike and great riding position, would love to see you review that one please. A good friend of mine that has been building and riding bikes for years jumped on one and took it for a ride and when he got back he said it was one of the nicest bikes he had ridden straight out of the box.
This is a good looking bike but not comfortable to ride. I am 177cm and 80 kg. but could not get comfy. After half hour I took it back to the dealer coz my wrists were painful. I am not used to leaning forward, I have ridden cruisers for too many years but want to change. The 660 Triple is a good bike but I would need short risers on the bars if I bought one. After your review of the Triple I went on a test ride and liked it very much. It will not go out of my head now. I think you might like the MotoGuzzi Bopper..., is there a dealer in the Essex/Suffolk area where you can test ride it for us?
Cafe Racers aren't built for comfort, they are bar hoppers that are mean't for riding on short journeys. If you want a comfortable ride don't even consider a Cafe Racer style machine, a touring motorcycle would be more your style.
As owner of thruxton r guess am biased. Love that bike and dont find riding postion uncomfortable at all, Core body strength takes wrist problem away in my experince
Hello, really enjoy all of your videos and the topics that you discuss especially from a ladies point of view in what is mostly a male world. Have you thought about doing a test of a 1980s SS Ducati 900? I have owned my fare share of bikes and driven in all types of weather. Enjoyed watching you welding lessons. Thankyou for sharing, kind regards.
@@tomboyabit Found it! And I found another test of BMW GS you did. Excellent! I have a HD like yours (Iron 883 2020), I am a Brazilian living in Portugal and I am thinking to start making some trips with my HD. What kind of tips you can you give me to start? Thank you!
To be honest amazing video, well explained but for sake of constructive criticism, and I realise it's purely personal preference, but the 360 camura was very disorientating and odd, also I must know where the heck is it mounted?
Interesting review of a beautiful looking bike. I'd like to know how you managed getting around the riding position discomfort on day 1 - you said it was mainly motorways so I guess the wind blast from the higher speeds should have helped lift your body weight/take pressure off your wrists? But you said it was better on subsequent days on the twisties?
The twisty bits is where ANY Thruxton, from 2004 onwards, absolutely excels. That 1" smaller front wheel, radial rear tyre (on the 900 model) together with the engine mods make this model a top bike if you like endless curves. Your curves look great too BTW.
Yes I’m working on it. I’m using Rode mics in in a last footage I’ve noticed something changed. Either mic broke, not supporting update on gear or God knows what happened but shit happens.
I’m using Rode mics. It was a quite big investment for a starter RUclipsr. I’m sorry a sound quality of me doing my best and more at the time being, hosting, filming and editing all myself does not meet your standards. I can assure you it will come. Just then I will probably react less sensitive to the comments. Then now when I need support from my audience. You have a lovely day.
How come it didn't fit you the first day, but fit you when you tried the next time? Did you have a growth spurt😅😉? I wouldn't want to ride a Thruxton RS that's too tall for me on a track day if i were you. In addition to the lack of windscreen being tiering fast, if you can't grip the tank properly you'll be struggling with the bike all day. This bike belongs on the street, racing between fuel stops and food stops (or cafe's). It's where it was born and breed. 💖💖👏🏼👏🏼
To my eyes this remains one of the most beautiful bikes on sale today. The components seem like they add up to a fun ride as well.
There is something soothing about the way she narrates.

One of my favourite bikes, a real sport classic. Torquey motor and love the riding position.

Well done with review and getting use to the RS, as a real cafe bike a few days on it changes the way you view all bikes.
When you passed that red car I was like Hell Yea!
It certainly sounds good, really good I think. Love the riding in the twilight.
I loved it stock sound too.
It's so beautiful, and i'm decided to buy one, someday....thanks for your review, and my Thruxton will be black...
Tom boy no you just know how to ride and did a great job reviewing this handsome bike, Peace.

Beatiful bike and a beautiful lady!!
If you don't like the leaned over style. I suggest speed twin. Great review.
There is a way to get around that pressure on your wrist, you need to keep the speed beyond 150km/h
I’d like to see you testing a BMW GS.
I already did. In fact I went to Wales on one. Check the Bike Reviews Playlist ☺️

Bang on and Brilliant 👍
Thank you 🙏🏻
If you want the chassis and performance of the Thruxton with comfort - you'll be wanting a Speed Twin.
True, I own both and for a 70+ year-old the Thruxton riding position gets old in a hurry compared to my Speed Twin.
Pair of beauties, nice video!!!🔥🔥🔥🍀🍀🍀
I'm in love! Lol, the woman or the bike? Hum, I'll let you decide! Great review!
Hahaha Thruxton for sure
Beautiful!......the bike ofc

Try a Vitpilen or Svartpilen 701.
Lighter and better cornering than the Thruxton.
Not being made anymore.
That's a really nice bike👍👏👏❤️x
Agree 👊
great looking bike.thanks for sharing.
YAY!

So how long did you ride around with that blinker (indicator) on?
My bike that I did nearly 50k miles on, has automatic switch on the indicators. Built a bad habbit
@@tomboyabit Mine too. A 2020 iron 883.
So you know why 😂

Hi, thanks for great review.. how is the seating position and overall comfort against speed triple 1050?, many thanks in advance
I might get one of those 😊
A last chance this year. ☹️ Final Edition Thruxton. Just sat on one yesterday.
@@tomboyabitwhat did you think of the green color? I’m strongly considering.
The first gen Thruxton R was a much better looking bike and riding position not so extreme.
Try the Triumph speed 1200 rr
please work on the sound quality, it's distorted in the whole video.

Ipswich Marine
