Part 20: • Michael Jai White Isn'...
    --------
Vlad and Michael Jai White shared their admiration for Bruce Lee. Detailing their admiration for the legendary martial artist on his birth anniversary, they reflected on the influence he had not only in martial arts but also in pop culture worldwide. Michael Jai White called Lee the "greatest martial artist that ever lived," and Vlad shared memories of being inspired to create homemade nunchucks after watching Lee's movies. They agreed that Lee's influence was unrivaled, even comparing him to Tupac in terms of global impact. Despite recognizing the impact of other artists like Jackie Chan and Bob Marley, Michael Jai White and Vlad feel Bruce Lee remains unmatched in his field.

Hey Vlad, stop being so rude to Mike, talking over him when he's trying to make his point. And also, stop being such a fanboy for Tupac as well, dude lol. Sure, Tupac has made quite the impact and is renowned in the majority of places in the world, but to go so far as try to put Tupac over other high-profile rappers AND attempt to put him anywhere near the level of impact that Bruce Lee still has to this very day is such an *unbelievable* stretch it's not even funny. I definitely see what MJW was trying to say and thus I'mma have to side with him on this as well, sorry Vlad, but you were really reaching pretty damn hard with this one man lol.

To this day I still have Bruce Lee memorabilia that I bought back in the 70s when I was into martial arts. Books, posters, anything with his name or face on it. Used to save my allowance and head to the pharmacy every week to purchase the latest "Black Belt", "Karate Illustrated", or "Kung-Fu" magazine. If they had Bruce Lee on the cover (and they almost always did) it was a guaranteed purchase. Can't count how many times I saw his movies. I watched "The Green Hornet" just to see Kato in action. Bruce even influenced fashion (those jumpsuits), music ("Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting"), and even bodybuilding to some degree. It's hard to imagine anyone else popularizing and then dominating their sport/art the way Bruce did. Before Bruce, martial arts was simply not in the larger public conscious. You can't say that about Michael Jackson or 2Pac or any music artist. You can't say that the general public didn't have an interest in music prior to those guys (as great as they were). Bruce gave us martial arts on the big screen and then remained the ultimate icon decades later.

As far as the outspoken attitude, the arrogance, the brashness, and the rebelliousness, Bruce is definitely another immortalized icon much like Tupac is to rap. Like Tupac, he is seen as the epitome of his craft. Bruce is also seen as infallible. Same as Tupac. Lately, Bruce Lee has been called out as a user of recreational drugs. The Coc@ine letters have been released to the world for all to see, and very soon, an unfiltered, fearless soul will reveal to the world the receipts of Tupac’s drug use, and then Tupac’s erratic behavior will finally be understood by everyone.
