I’ve then applied my own common sense! I’ve also come to learn the outlaws are very biased in their opinions. Although Fatal in an interview for the 2003 documentary..Beef admitted Tupac wasn’t a street guy and didn’t know certain street codes..that’s why he’s dead. There is also a number of other sources I can sight.
My suggestion would be for you to search for the truth outside of just Vlad interviews!

One of my best friends was Hiroji Pratt, which is Geronimo Pratt son, which is 2Pac’s godfather. He has always been a revolutionary individual. I love you, Michael, but at the same time you have to understand that he was 20% of black kids that went to that high school and he probably was filming something for the high school and he was presenting him to himself a certain way. Are used to ride to Richmond with 2 Pac with my sister because they were dating each other for a short moment at the top and that’s when that footage was filled. We got the FBI, the ATF, the police departments, the religious groups, the Democrats and the Republicans. Everybody’s got their own little clique and they’re all out there gangbanging in their own little way.
The thing that bothers me is that it seems like all the sensitive stuff I write just goes unnoticed . . . the media doesn’t get who I am at all. Or maybe they just can’t accept it. It doesn’t fit into those negative stories they like to write. I’m the kind of guy who is moved by a song like Don McLean’s “Vincent,” that one about Van Gogh. The lyric on that song is so touching. That’s how I want to make my songs feel. Take “Dear Mama”--I aimed that one straight for my homies’ heartstrings.

Jai White is so right about Pac. If u didn’t know who Pac was or he had never made it famous, most people would assume he was effeminate if u watched his HS interview. This makes sense since he was raised by women, so it would make sense that he would pick up on those feminine traits. Pac often adopted different traits based on the people he hung around with. When he was touring with DU his image and style was non intimidating, it was laid back, with a Bay Area swagger. Then he plays Bishop and his character completely changes. He’s now more NY, even spent more time in NY and started hanging around street dudes from NY. He started being more flashy and materialistic; the whole Black Pride and Panther mentality wasn’t something he promoted as much. Now he was all about Rolexes, and Benzes, and had that NY street hustler style. Then he moves to LA and he adopts the whole Gang culture, started claiming MOB, throwing the “W” up. He made a whole song about LA even though he wasn’t from LA!. He played so many roles that it’s hard to tell who the real 2Pac was. But I feel his most truest self was when he was interviewed in prison. I feel like that was the real 2Pac, a well mannered, intelligent person with insecurities and a desire to belong. Unfortunately he chose to follow individuals who were about that life and got caught up in LA gang politics which he had no idea or understanding of. Had he grown up in Compton, Watts, or SC he would have understood the seriousness of claiming a set, how gang culture wasn’t just about claiming a neighborhood or wearing a particular color, it went deeper than that. I came from a good family. At 17-18 I was quite an anxious type person, still am but by the time I was 21-22 I was hanging out with all the so called tough lads, getting in fights & became more confident. So tupac maybe if changed dramatically I don’t get the comparing a 17 year old to 23-25 year old.
