Can you believe this game is almost a decade old already? I uploaded this video because, like many, I was upset to discover that the Wild Orchard theme was not included on the purchasable OST. Judging by the comments and views, this delightful track struck a chord with many of us. I can't think of Witcher 3 without thinking of those strings chiming in as we enter the first beautiful zone. But hey, why read my words when you can simply listen to the magic for yourself 🎼🎶🎵 Take care, everyone!
Dude! I feel EXACTLY the same about TW3. In fact, i just told my girlfriend the exact same thing "I dont think a game had that effect on me since Final Fantasy IX". Oh man, FFIX, such a great game.

Yeah, White Orchard was such a beautiful, carefree place. Can't believe I'm already feeling nostalgic, it's only been a year and a few months what the hell...
Hawksaw Crone ending ... but the title in general is sad because its the end of the story of witcher. Something ends = witcher something begins = cyberpunk 2077.
Danilo Gonçalves True, Witcher ending makes you feel like shit at first so as a person who got this the first time, this music is all the more significant. :P
A game is good, when it just freezes you in place, and makes you watch your surroundings while just listening. I feel sorry for whoever haven't played Witcher 3.
Frantic Nova I've tried to get my friends to play the Witcher 3. I keep telling them that it's an awesome game but they just think it's boring. They're missing out...
I got the end where ***Spoiler*** Ciri becomes a witcher. But before one gets to know that the game makes you think that she's dead. This theme killed me as I walked through White Orchad in the epilogue.
This song reminds me of White Orchard, Geralt with his Warriors jacket, Roach with his default saddle, a war-torn countryside and just being fully immersed in the greatest game I've ever played.
Well, never would’ve expected you to find interest in this type of music. Quite an exquisite taste for someone who makes - well, your type of content. Appearances never cease to deceive.
Hi everyone, just wanted to drop by and thank you all for the positivity here. Still surprising how this tune wasn't included in the soundtrack - and happy that many of you have been able to find it here.
+RopeDrink Thanks for uploading this track; it's one of my favorites, and I think it perfectly evokes the sensations of dread and melancholy in a war-ravaged land.
+skyhawk00787 You're very welcome. I knew I couldn't have been the only one to a) love this track and b) be frustrated that it wasn't included in the OST, so uploading it was just a natural process.
+xzc No problem at all - it's uploaded for that reason. I looked all over iTunes and everywhere, not a single sign of the very first track that crashes right into your memory almost right at the start -- makes no sense.
C''mon I can't forget this song. This the song in the beginning; when I'm on level 1 and I am trying to get strong in order survive in a world savage by war and Ghouls.....
I feel so damn alone in this, but man isn't this soundtrack kind of sad? Especially at around 1:25, it's more sad than peaceful and I get this weird feeling, like a connection to the music, so much so that it keeps taking me out of the game rather than immerse me in it. It's so amazingly well done, but listening to it makes me feel something akin to sadness but not exactly, it's such a weird feeling that I don't get often, and it bothers me so much cuz I'm not peacefully exploring anymore, I feel a bit sad and melancholy. Does anyone understand me here?
9 лет назад+11
+XxdeathclawslayerxX Totally :) It reminded me of 1st and 2nd war with Nilfgaard and how desperate the situation is, because even though the northern realms unite and stop the invasion again, Nilfgaard will conquer them all sooner or later. (it is said in the books that sometime around 15th century, there are no more kingdoms on the continent, just Nilfgaard) :(
+Garrett Heinkel Yeah exactly, I mean I've listened to a lot of sad video game music in my time, music that plays in especially sad parts or as a character dies and I listen to them and go "man this is sad" and move on. But with some tracks I can't move on, it captures me in an intense way and it gets to the point where I can't say I'm enjoying the music because what I feel cannot be described as joy or happiness or enjoyment. It feels so weird. I can't get myself to stop listening to it though because I want to pinpoint this feeling but I can't haha. I feel the same way with Dragon Age: Origins' main menu/camp theme and sometimes The Last of Us soundtrack.
i think it represents exactly what the area you are exploring really is.. it's a beautiful place, but filled with lots of evil in it. when i play it gives me a feeling that something bad will happen all the time hahaha
Having no idea where to go... being afraid of high level enemies... watching for the first time those breath-taking views... coming back after finishing the story... what a game.
This game ruined me. I can no longer enjoy other games like i used to. This game is trully raising the bar for what a game should look like in todays time.
such a great theme for a place, it kinda sounds about sorrow but with silver lining of hope, which describes the place as it is, I'm glad I bought the game, CDprojekt deserve every money they get
Where Geralt tells Emhyr that Ciri is dead and returns to White Orchard the feels, the grief one goes through of losing someone who you hold dear, is indescribable! after 2 months of living this masterpiece and it all boils down to losing Ciri...but thankfully I got an ending where Ciri becomes a witcher but by the time it is revealed at the Inn that Ciri is very much alive, the depression of moving across White Orchard while this playing in the background!
+Preyansh Vyas This is what happened with me exactly i even shed some tears my god it was so painful. I've played many games but this is something else entirely
Aw shit man I got that ending on my second most recent playthrough. I was so fucking sad riding through white orchard thinking she was dead. But seeing her in the inn brought such a big smile on my face. It was like, even though I failed to kill Radovid and his dictatorship seized power, once Ciri was alive that was all that mattered. Truly I’ve never felt so emotionally invested in a bunch of pixels on a monitor before. Bravo, CD Projekt Red. Bravo.
Si Krushner That's exactly why I uploaded it. I don't get why these companies release semi-complete soundtracks. 9/10 times, released OST's always miss my favourite tracks from the game - happens way too often these days -.-
+RopeDrink Quite weird considering the most boring soundtracks are often included. Simple fightscene tracks with no real emotion, but they forget the second full instrumental open world theme after the Kaer Morhen soundtrack. Well probably not forgotten, just skipped..
+Norbert Milcarek I bought Hearts of Stone once (digital) and then I thought about playing Gwent in real life... "HOLY SHIT" . Then I bought the box edition with cards. I don't regret it :) This game is worth any asking price, a masterpiece :-)
Norbert Milcarek First off, I have never heard a name like yours, which country does it originate from? Second off, you willing to by it a third time on Switch?
For some reason this tune has an enormous emotional impact despite not being related to any major events. Maybe it symbolizes the life of the people in White Orchard? Or the beginning of a long journey? The best bet I have is that it's a symbol of the past, since it represents the time you were learning about people, the environment and yourself (as a Witcher), and now it's a mark of that time period.
When I started Witcher I thought: - Skyrim made a greater impression, might not like this game... 1-2 weeks later: *starts W3* - Oh god what I've been missing, this is a masterpiece
Geralt: "Come on, Roach!", "Go! Go!", & "Prrrrrr....." [imitating what the horse would do] God, I love this video game so much. I love this song too. This song is so amazing, soothing & gorgeous. This whole video game brings so many tears to my eyes, whenever I hear the music, hear the dialogue, see & explore the world, etc. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt makes me so happy & I'm already a happy person, but it makes me even more happy when I play it, experience it, etc. One of my favorite video games of 2015.
I have never been so emotionally involved in a game until I played this. I have finished 5 playthroughs of this game and I still start a new game right after I'm done. It's very very disappointing that their not making another one. I just hope that one of these days, they surprise us and end up making another game. Fingers crossed.
+ethan davs they never said they arent making any more witcher games. quite on the contrary. what has been confirmed, however, is that Witcher 3 puts an end to Geralt's story. We will see more Witcher, that's absolutely certain. Probably in Ciri's boots
I love this. This is the best soundtrack in the entire game if you ask me. I just remember how I first stared the game and watching the trees blow in the wind. I can just hear Geralt saying "wind's howling".
The trees bending, the grasses rippling, the late afternoon sunlight heavy and orange...here and there, residents of White Orchard take stock of what unburnt possessions remain to them, perhaps debating with themselves if they should rebuild or seek a new life elsewhere...and one can almost smell the crisp, cold air of this late summer evening, heavy with scents of grass and grain and river, laced with the spicy odor of pine trees and the sweet hint of wildflowers. Such an evocative game, with moments of heartbreaking beauty. I've never played another game where I could simply ride in any direction, lost in the scenery and music, encountering whatever I encountered, having so much more than simple fun it's hard to describe. I just wish there was a way we could vacation in that world as Geralt.
Guys, these theme is based on "River of Life" from the original Witcher ost. It played during the first act of the game, right after the prologue. They probably used this version to connect us with that moment when we first delved into this amazing world.
+LordOcampo I think both of you are wrong. River of Life is from Chapter 4 and was the Theme of Murky Waters. But the prolog of TW3 has some strikeing similaritys to the first act of TW1. A Small village near Vizima that surrounds a tavern and is terrorised by a monster. In the basics its the same.
Well as you mentioned it i think Witcher 3's main theme is coming from Dragon Age Origins when you were in Dwarven City it's really kinda same.. (The Realm of Orzamar)
This music makes me think of an abandoned/destroyed land but yet still beautiful and with some people still trying to live their lives, and you have to save that land. It sounds both hopeless and sad but yet also hopeful and somehow optimistic. I haven't played it yet so I may be totally wrong. Can't wait to start it :)
When I was at the White Orchard at the beginning of the game, I hardly knew I was starting one of the best games I've ever played in my life. I bought this game because the critics and the players were commenting very well on it and, I did not regret having bought it after I saw how deep and amazing this game is. It will always be on my list of the best games I've ever played.
This is the track that starts and ends the game, and the last one that gets stuck in your head after you finish the main story. Totally a bad move letting it out of the Original Soundtrack. There are many generic tracks in the OST that could be easily replaced by this.
This music tells that life in countryside in middle of nowhere is hard and you need to work to get your food on the table. But also that there's a strong bond and community between the villagers and as long as you work together and cooperate you'll stay alive :)
To think, from hearing this for the first time to now, I've done multiple playthroughs, read an amazing series of books, been to Poland to attend a Witcher LARP that changed my life, and now I run weekly Witcher D&D sessions with friends I never would have met if it hadn't been for that LARP, and for this game. Man, what a game.
I cried myself to sleep for 3 days while listening to this, after i realised my cat who has been with me since i was 5, passed away last year. i didnt even get a chance to say goodbye to him, he just left. we found him frozen hidden behind the neighborhood's dumpster. listening to this now while thinking of him still brings tear to my eyes 😢. RIP little Snorre, may we meet again
I'll never forget my first real moments into this game, after the false serene atmosphere of Kaer Morhen. Passing by a ransacked village on horseback, looking down at the sobbing peasants, mourning their dead. Corpses in the fields and corpses hanging from trees, no sounds but the wails of widows and this crying orchestra. It broke my spirit but at the same time made me want to play this game more and more.
I listen this and my heart is full of nostalgia, the beginning.... I love so much look the comments of another people and saw that they feel the same feelings as me. The Witcher III is more than a game. Is a beautiful and incredible history. And the OST is simply excelent too. I would pay to erase my memory to sense the same again. If it was a posible thing sure... Magic.
Same. It’s amazing how quickly this game became my all time favorite. Surpassing classics I’ve been playing for many years, like Final Fantasy, Zelda, Dragon Age Origins.
Can you believe this game is almost a decade old already? I uploaded this video because, like many, I was upset to discover that the Wild Orchard theme was not included on the purchasable OST. So much memory in this soundtrack. Finishing the game feels like losing a friend.
Exactly how it feels. I don't think a game's had that effect on me since Final Fantasy IX. Maybe Dragon Age Origins, but not as much.
Dude! I feel EXACTLY the same about TW3. In fact, i just told my girlfriend the exact same thing "I dont think a game had that effect on me since Final Fantasy IX". Oh man, FFIX, such a great game.

1:02 Sounds ecactly like the jingle you get when you clear a Safe area in dying light :o
You are god damn right 😂😂👋👋
Holy crap, thats true! :O
I'm very late but the music was made by the same guy, i guess he liked this part enough to reuse it
Guys, these theme is based on "River of Life" from the original Witcher ost. It played during the first act of the game, right after the prologue. They probably used this version to connect us with that moment when we first delved into this amazing world.
+LordOcampo i think you mean outskirst of vizima ? river of life plays on act 2
LordOcampo p
Hmm, this draws more from 'The Dike' I think. And 'The Dike' is the track at act 1 IIRC.
_Did you start playing it now?_
Only thing that is even better than the game is the soundtrack
This theme is so depressing yet so beautiful. It perfectly describes the life in white orchard if you know what i mean.
Me: "Guh... Gweh... Gwent? The fuck is that?"
*100 hours later*
Me: "JUST... ONE... MORE... GAAAMMMMMEEEEE!"
Wish me luck, mates
Im playing this game for the first time and Im currently doing the DLCs
The best game ever created and the best game of the generation and the decade without any doubts
"Lubisz świerszcze? Gryziesz czy połykasz?! :D" xD

This music tells that life in countryside in middle of nowhere is hard and you need to work to get your food on the table. But also that there's a strong bond and community between the villagers and as long as you work together and cooperate you'll stay alive :)
Sad,peaceful and nostalgic. The witcher 3. The best game of this generation. 😢✌💖
1:44 ahhh the memories!! What a masterpiece.
I feel homesick for a place I´ve never been to
3 years.. Im already feeling nostalgic about it.
What a masterpiece
Winds Howling
I'll never forget my first real moments into this game, after the false serene atmosphere of Kaer Morhen. Passing by a ransacked village on horseback, looking down at the sobbing peasants, mourning their dead. Corpses in the fields and corpses hanging from trees, no sounds but the wails of widows and this crying orchestra. It broke my spirit but at the same time made me want to play this game more and more.
thank u for uploading this i was searching all over
I feel homesick for a place Ive never been to
Best "ambiance" theme , right in the feels :')
I will never forget this game , thanks CD Projekt
Anyone else smell lilac and gooseberries?
shagohod666 meeeeee
Yeah I did
I might be able to play this game over and over for the rest of my life and not be sick of it.
Same here , this game is something :')
this song makes me remember a lot of things . . .. .oh those days!!
This is an experience worthy of nostalgia.
اه كمية ذكريات ، حياة جميلة بدون مسؤوليات أكبر همك محاضرة وأختبار
ايام جميلة
و الآن ما هو أكبر همك ؟
و الآن ما هو أكبر همك؟
That little bit at 1:03 is the highlight for me. Really cool harmony
This track makes me ache. It set the tone for the game perfectly.
The atmosphere of this game was one of the best point
and when I started this hame I've feel a dark fantasy atmosphere who hit me hardly
Am I the only person, who hear in this fragment 3:06 an homage at Pawel Blaszczak's piece "Decline" from Dying Light OST (listen it to the very end)?
It might be so, because Blaszczak also coposed OST for the first witcher gam in 2007
I can't help but get teary eyed listening to this track. Especially those chords at 3:09
Somebody hand me a tissue
1:03
Safe Zone unlocked!
*Dying Light*
Jaime OMG😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Omg yes
ok im going to play some dying light
Think you mean 3:22
Actually they sound the same. Ignore me.
R.I.P. uncle Vesemir :(

Papa vesemir
Why did you had to fucking spoil that
cuz it came out in 2015. also if u havent beat it dont look in comment section of witcher 3 vids
Truly. A masterpiece of our time. No “game” will ever come close to this.
1:03 this part is piercing through my soul and goes right into my deepest abyss of memories..
Funny that's the same melody when you unlock a safe zone in Dying Light 1, both games released on 2015
I listen this and my heart is full of nostalgia, the beginning.... I love so much look the comments of another people and saw that they feel the same feelings as me.
The Witcher III is more than a game. Is a beautiful and incredible history. And the OST is simply excelent too.
I would pay to erase my memory to sense the same again. If it was a posible thing sure...
Magic.
Exactly my feelings bro , i would pay a great ammount of money to erase my memory and play it as the first time.
after the Witcher 4 confirmed
1:03.
In Dying Light - Safe House Unlocked!
1:03 dying light safe zone unlocked ost :D
Witcher 3 will forever have a place in my heart.
Guys started the game 3 hours ago and I feel nostalgic too 😂
Just wait until you're done
Just finished this Masterpiece !!! Epic Epic game best game ever
I am gona download this song and put it into skyrim.
nahh that feels wrong
Why feels wrong? Its medieval song, and both games are medieval :)
Skyrim and Witcher are different games with different climates. I think this song is not good for Skyrim.
Skyrim has better music.
Skyrim has exactly 2 song that are very good:Sovngarde and Dragonborn the rest are generic and forgettable
1:02 sounds exactly like when you unlock a safe zone in dying light
And begginnig sound like A lot better track from Witcher 1, "The Dike"
1:03-1:13 always gives me chills. best game i've ever played 11/10
gives me shivers everytime ... Love it
The first time I heard it felt really depressing and I couldn't wait for it to finish.
But now I see it more relaxing than anything.
golden time
Best game i've ever played, and i've played alot of games
Same. It’s amazing how quickly this game became my all time favorite. Surpassing classics I’ve been playing for many years, like Final Fantasy, Zelda, Dragon Age Origins.
1:03 always gives me goosebumps
Such a shame they didn't put this on the soundtracks. Such haunting beauty...
Really captures the mood of a previously beautiful village ravaged by war and people struggling to live day to day.
This music will always remember me of the start of the game in äWhite Orchard. It's so awesome and somehow sad at the same time.
