I love coming to the comments on these videos and reading everyone's experiences with games like TW3, Skyrim, Oblivion, etc. How these games gave us all an escape, forged our lives, and linked us together. Like we all have good friends we just haven't met yet.
Same, I've heard the hype about map size and how it is so full of content, then I was "Well that's not small but not that spectacular ether". But then....
EXACTLY you think the locations on the world map are all individual places of this size (which is much smaller than it first appears once you reach the map's edge), THEN you move from the training area to the real game...
Year 2022. Still a masterpiece and will always remain a masterpiece. If someone is reading this after a few decades, this was the best game ever made and best experience of our lives.
Every time I listen to this song I feel nostalgia and emptiness. damn, playing this game for the first time and talking to vesemir over that campfire, this game from start to finish immersed me like no other, all of the emotions felt from the story and characters, all of the little moments and story climaxes were all beautifully done. The music, the fleshed out world, the exceptional dlcs, CD Projekt Red proves their superior attention to detail and commitment to quality. Only 3 years old and I'm nostalgic for it. The thing that made the witcher series work is its strongly defined protagonist. Unlike most games these days which give you a heavily customisable self insert, it was possible to write good and meaningful dialogue between the player character and the various other characters. That's why you were immersed. Remember that next time you get a character creator screen.

EzioIlMentore that's what makes it a great game...the atmosphere was so rich and unique it made you feel nostalgic just when you hear one of its tracks sometime later
Look, I've been playing Bioshock Infinite somewhere 5 years ago and know what? Once I start to listen any song from its OST it blows my mind. Instantly starting to feel what I've been through. Chills on spine, tearing up etc... It's so strong I can't even express it. I quickly get depressed and feel nostalgia. On the other side it's hard to recall those emotional memories for me cause I understand that I simply can't go through the same experience once again. The Witcher 3 is almost the same. I've finished major story recently and music now tears me up. I can't listen to it without thinking about Ciri, Yen, Geralt and others and this song fills my eyes full of tears. The both stories are overwhelmingly touching and I don't wonder that after couple of years people getting nostalgic.
The most perfect game i've ever played. The music, the gameplay, the quests, the characters, the open-world, the atmosphere, ... Its fucking perfect! I've put 400 hours into this game but i still wanna play it. I cannot wait for Cyberpunk!!

I really love this. It invokes so much nostalgia and good memories when I first played the game. It was in early summer 2015 (the game just came out then), so the season was the same as in the game. You could feel the real warmth and the real smell of grass from outside while binge-playing and exploring this whole new game. It was really fitting for this rural, early summer environment in White Orchard and contributed even more to the already incredible atmosphere of the game. Might sound funny, but thats my memory of the beginning of Witcher 3. No other game has "enchanted" me like that, not before and not ever since. 👌🏻 It's unbelievabe that 9 years went by since then.

Just listening to this soundtrack, gave me a lot of fresh memories from the game back when I just started and learning new things and slowly experiencing how fun the game was... just wow. Brilliant.
I began to play this game last year at the end of January 2022. I was going through a very hard time with my ex-girlfriend at the time. When I managed to get to Oxenfurt (a week later), she broke-up with me. I was so depressed, like I just wanted to die every fucking days crying alone at night for hours. The only thing that kept my moral a bit up was The Witcher 3. I played it like for a whole year (I finished the last DLC two weeks ago, December 2022). It followed me through a whole year, I met other girls, still managed to pass my first year at uni, met new friends, etc. That game was always there, through the whole time, like a good friend being there for you at your best and your lowest. White Orchard Theme will always have a special place in my heart, like a loving memory of what I felt a year ago launching the game and not knowing how hard that year would be for me. Thank you my friend for posting this.
This was the first game I ever played, I fumbled through thinking White Orchard was the game feel, wilderness quests, roam the country side looking for monsters, then I stumbled upon Novigrad. The perfect light, I just sat there on Roach and thought, wow....That moment is etched in my mind, like the music, and all the adventures with great characters you want to know... and love, indeed I love this game, it actually changed me. When I began studying French, I got some The Witcher 3 playthroughs with French dubs and recorded some lines to put them on Anki (search about it). Most are from the beginning of the game, so they have this song playing in the background. This song takes me back to when I played the game for the first time at launch, 4 years ago... and when I was creating these cards for Anki, 2 years ago.
I know everybody has a different perspective of the song, but am i the only one who thinks this music is sad and shows the difficulty of the people living in those war ravaged villages plauged by monsters?
1 of the only sound tracks that makes me tear up a bit, white orchard has to be one of the best set, themed, and directed areas in the entire game I love this prelude
Thanks for sharing. Finished it recently. The song is playing in the place where the game starts and ends at the same time (in "happy" ending). In the latter case it doesn't prompt curious feeling but sadness and depression. Now I feel empty inside... The story is pretty sad. The books aren't happy either.

Oh man I just got hit with the biggest punch of nostalgia. Exiting the prologue and having the whole world at my fingertips, hundreds of monsters to slay, women to bed, and gwent games to lose. Never have I been so invested in the world and story of a game. I wish I could wipe my memory and play this game for the first time all over again😢
I love the entire soundtrack but 1:02 - 1:18 just hits different
That melody and cold sun light of winter, oh memories...
Almost two more years now :^)
Wind's howling...
I know everybody has a different perspective of the song, but am i the only one who thinks this music is sad and shows the difficulty of the people living in those war ravaged villages plauged by monsters?
Eh they don't have to deal with to much monster's cause what only ghouls nekkers and drowner are found there?
Damn, just delete my brain memory, and I want to play this game again...
seriously, the second play-through is nothing compare to first one.
No you dont! Play GTA V for better game
@@revivrevalchn3503 agreee :(
@@revivrevalchn3503 I tried it for the second time. It was ok, but not the same feeling :/
@@phoenix1453 lol, you don't compare this "nigga all good in da hood" kind of crap with witchers, "brah"
The fookin bloody baron
This song still give me chill effect each time I played it. When this song started during my first play I knew this game will be amazing

We'll find her...
Witcher 3 memories !

The best sountrack in the game
Witcher 3 is different from the other game this game have a speacial position in my heart
I've already repeated this game 4 times, after they announce the new gen update, im coming back to get the fifth.
1 of the only sound tracks that makes me tear up a bit, white orchard has to be one of the best set, themed, and directed areas in the entire game I love this prelude
that takes me back...
Slavic way...
Best gaming soundtrack ever
It's crazy how songs can trigger such strong nostalgia like smells
